you'd love to read it? sure :3 heres the first chapter...

Emily hated monsters. The stupid things patrolled the streets, growling and looking for street urchins like her. And for the fifth time this week, she was forced to run faster and faster down the winding cobbled streets, chased by angry snake-bodied, ram-headed monsters who were hissing at her and spitting acid. Basically a normal day for Emily. She ducked under a tree branch and leaped over a gap in the pavement dropping down to who-knows-where. Quickly Emily sidestepped into an alley, which led to another alley, which led to a wide street filled with people shopping at an open-air market. She dodged a lady with a feathery hat and weaved her way between the crowds.

“Sorry, excuse me, pardon me- sorry ma’am!” She dodged a crowd of people clustered around the famous Jefferson Aurelia statue that graced the square. Jefferson’s smiling face stared at Emily from his granite throne, almost like Jefferson was trying to say, You got this. Now I’ll just sit here and watch you be chased.  Emily ran around a pancake stand and grabbed one of the blueberry pancakes that was on display.

“Thank you mister have a good daaaaaaaaay”

She ignored the pancake man’s shouting and slipped into another alley. With a groan she realized it was a dead end, and the snake-ram monsters were closing in behind her.  Frantically, she ducked inside one of the shacks lining the ally and fell with a scream into the ground. She shot down a narrow tunnel that twisted and turned and slammed her against the slimy concrete walls. The tunnel twisted and turned and the walls glowed purple. Emily tucked in her arms and legs and tried not to scream again. Finally she tumbled out into a room occupied by crudely-made dummies in rows. She rolled out of the way just in time, for the snake-ram monsters shot out of the tunnel behind her. Emily kicked one in the ram head. It squawked like a chicken and struggled to rise. Emily reached out and her hand bumped into a wooden sword that a dummy was holding. She smacked the second snake-ram with the blade of the sword and then stabbed the other, who had just gotten up. She managed several strikes before the first rm-snake wrapped it's impossibly long, scaly green tongue around her borrowed sword and swallowed it whole, in one gulp.

“Mister! That was my only weapon!” Emily did a roundhouse kick and both monsters fell to the ground, momentarily stunned. She grabbed another wooden sword (all the dummies seemed to be armed) and smacked the snake-rams repeatedly until they stopped moving. She stabbed the monsters where they're heart should be, but before she could finish them they both started to crumble. Soon there was nothing but dust and two orbs of light, which Emily stomped on before they could fly away.

“Snake-rams… done. Now where am I? Oh yeah. Breakfast.”

She dug the blueberry pancake out of her pocket and found it a little squished and missing several blueberries but still edible. So she stuffed it in her mouth and walked through the rows of dummies all holding wooden swords. She could see a door on the far wall, closed and possibly locked. Emily knocked over the nearest dummy and sat down on its stomach. She gazed at the ceiling, which was grey stone painted with swirls of blue and white paint. There were no windows, only one door, and a whole bunch of dummies. Emily finished her pancake  and wondered if she could get out of here, but where even was she?

“Can anyone tell me where I am?” Emily sighed and leaned back against… dummies. Dummies that fell and knocked into other dummies who knocked into other dummies and soon everything in the room was on the floor, including Emily, who had fallen over when her dummy backrest had tumbled.

Creeeeeeeak. Emily jumped up and grabbed the nearest weapon: a dummy's head. She gripped it like a dodgeball and started to walk to the far wall and the door.

“Who-who's there?”

Then Emily spotted someone. He was leaning against the door, his chocolate-brown arms folded across his dirty t-shirt. When he noticed Emily, his eyes crinkled at the corners like he was laughing silently at her.

“Um, hello and who are you? Where am I?”

“Hello to you too. I think the appropriate question is who are you and what are you doing in the Rebellion?”

Emily blinked. Had she heard him right?

“Uh, did you say the-”

“Yup. you are, well, not lucky exactly to find yourself in the secret base of the great Rebellion.”

Oohh yes! Okay, I have two novels that I am ACTUALLY working on at the moment.

The first one is about the land of Softwood, where dragons, giants, and other creatures used to live in harmony with the people. However, it has since been taken over by the Commando, an evil group of soldiers that ended the peace in Softwood. They even went so far as to shut down all the schools in the whole land! Or so they thought. Riya, a headstrong 13-year-old, along with fifteen other students still attend school in secret. But one day, they are found out, and they escape to the Outerlands, a dangerous place where dangerous creatures roam. Now they must find a way to defeat the Commando before it's too late...

That's probably way more information than you needed, but oh well. The first two chapters are on the fifth page of the Inkwell, the thread starts with "I've been dying..." if you want to read it. I just re-read it myself, and I realized how much editing it needs, but it's a start.

Ok, the second one I am actively working on is about a girl named Avianna who's parents tragically died a few days after Christmas. She is now living with her mom's mysterious stepcousin, Ignatius Serendipity Ember Amogen Smith, who has strange habits and baffling quirks. Avianna later discovers that these strange behaviors are because of her new guardian's magic. All of a sudden, she is swept in to a magical adventure with her magical friends as they battle against the Ziyadeh, a powerful and evil force using magic to try and take over the world.

The end! If you read through all of that, thank you.

I'm not currently working on a "novel", but I am working on a graphic novel, which is basically the same thing, but there's so much more you can do with it--because comics!

The plot is really complex and it doesn't make too much sense unless you read it, but I'll try to write a quick summary.

It's the year 2043. So much has changed--including humans themselves. Not only are there regular humans, but there are also Agents--genetically enhanced supersoldiers, created by the famous Frost Laboratories, to help protect mankind. They seem so perfect, and wonderful. Everyone is safe with Agents watching over them!

Except they aren't. Because Agents are not what they seem--nor is Frost Laboratories. There are other experiments going on behind closed doors, things the Labs wants to hide from the world. But when a group of these superhuman experiments is released, known as Homo Psychica, the world will not remain in the dark for much longer.

It's called Enigma, and follows the stories of many different protagonists--Etoile, the Psychica who just wanted to be a normal person; Mama Mercy, the Psychica with mindreading abilities who is on a quest for freedom; Ari, the young Agent with abilities no other Agent has--both bad and good; Kuznetsov, the first-ever Agent with a dark past and absolutely no moral compass; Mei, an Agent who thirsts for revenge against her father, and Gabriel, a Psychica who is on a mission to stop Frost Laboratories and protect the one who matters most to him.

Whew, that was a lot! I don't think I'll ever post it here, but yeah. That's what I'm working on.

I'll just tell about my plot for now. I'm writing a fantasy about this girl who has powers. Oh, and so I forgot to mention that there are 3 seret groups, 2 with powers, 1 without. The Celestials, who want to use powers, Runes, who want to destroy the people with power, and the Terrafides, who are the good guys. Terrafide means 'earth faithful' in latin. I just choose it because I wasn't sure what to name them. Anyway, back to the story. The Runes find out that this girl hass powers, so they send some people after her. The Terrafides also know, so they simaltaneously send Jacob. Jacob saves her from the Runes, and tells her about the secret war going on between the groups. she joins the good guys, we have some battles, and good prevails.

These look AWESOME!!! Here's a section of my part of my book.

It's after the war. The war that seperated me from everyone that I knew. They now knew that I was different. Too different. They kicked me out of the small village and I'm now on my own. Forever. "Ow! Oh, man! I did NOT know that the rosebush was still there. Ow! Is anyone listening to me out there?!?!" I yelled into the forest. I was about to give up hope, when something small came out of the bushes. "Hey! Keep it down, will ya?" The small thing said. "I'm sorry, but what are you?" I said. "Oops! Sorry, my thing malfunctioned again, hang on, just lemme... There we go!! Hi, nice to meet you! I'm Lizzy, and you are?" The person said. She hit a button on something that looked like a phone and she grew up to my size, maybe a few inches shorter. "Oh, I'm Bradley Wolfie. Don't ask about my last name, it's classified." I said, holding my hand out to snake her hand. Lizzy was beautiful! She had ankle length jet black hair with gold and purple streaks in it. She had beautiful green eyes and pink lip gloss. She wore a black jumpsuit and black combat boots. Me? Well, I was wearing a hat, ripped at the knees jeans, and a grey t-shirt. "Wow. Your eyes are like ice, staring right into my soul. I like them." Lizzy said, applying some more lip gloss. "Re-Really? Thanks." I said, blushing. Lizzy smiled and blushed too. "Wait. They're coming." Lizzy said, turning her head towards the clearing. "Who's coming? Whay did you do wrong?" I asked her. "No time for that! Hang on tight!!" Lizzy said, pushing a button on her phone. "What's going on?" I said, hanging onto her arm. "Just don't let go!" Lizzy said. I closed my eyes and a second later, the trees looked like MOUNTAINS, and the small puddle looked like a lake! "Perfect. They won't see us now. Just make sure that they don't step on us. Come on!" Lizzy said, pulling my arm.

I'll post the rest of this chapter soon! Do you like it so far?

I'm kinda working on several things. One is about sea dragons and it's a sequel to another book I wrote. Another is fantasy though if you just twist the setting a little bit it could pass for historical fiction. It has a pretty complicated plot. And I'm writing one with two of my friends which is a very cheesy fantasy romance :D

I'll post more about them later.

Another new one....

Loosely based on Kung Fu Panda. LOOSELY, as in there's a kid named Po who makes noodles. I had the idea after I (we, I guess, Ingrim and I) watched Kung Fu Panda. It involves fire eaters and salamanders and evil Duke Darren. I think? Somewhere somehow it may involve cyborgs and such, but I think those are seperate. Maybe M. NEVER? I'm the Storyweaver, Duice. Leave me to it.

This is a clip from a book i'm writing, called Amber Toling and the Rebel's War

200 Years Later

Amber pressed her face against the cold bars of her jail cell and wondered again why she was still here. She had been in the holding cell for a week, and they still hadn't gotten to her trial. She frowned at the concrete walls.

“Oh, the good old days when I wasn't stuck in a jail cell…” Amber muttered, and she closed her eyes and remembered the day this had all started.

It had been a cold November morning, and she had been returning from the bakery by her apartment, clutching a bag of chocolate chip muffins still warm from the oven. She took another step and stopped suddenly, for something had whizzed by her face. She turned and saw an arrow quivering in the ground between her toes. Amber had grabbed it and pulled off the small cylinder of paper attached to the arrow shaft. She unfurled the note and read, why aren't you with the army? I thought a great commander wouldn't go on coffee breaks. Do you even know you're a commander? I bet not, haha. Go see Gregory Pailer. He’ll tell you what you need to know.

  • Pauline Somondo, lieutenant’

Amber wondered who Gregory Pailer was, and who Pauline Somo-something thought she was, talking like that and shooting arrows at her. Amber hurried home. Later that evening, she opened her computer and searched for ‘Gregory Pailer’. The only result was a link to G. Pailer’s Garage. Amber clicked the link and got directions. The next morning she was on her way to this mysterious G. Pailer man. Once she arrived at the address, Amber had looked up to see a tiny building with overgrown weeds out front and a rusted sign saying

                             G. P il r’  G  rag

Amber sighed and pushed open the creaky door. Inside, it was dark, dusty, and obviously abandoned. Suddenly amber heard a shuffling sound, and out of the gloom stepped a giant of a man, G. Pailer himself.

“Why you here, missy? The shops been closed for a while now. Did Pauline send you?”

Amber mumbled an insult about jumping out of the shadows and nodded.

“Hmph. I told Pauline I was on vacation but nooo. Always sending new recruits HERE, when i'm trying to relax! Come on, Pauline. I need to have a talk with that-”

“Uhm, mister Pailer, Pauline actually called me a commander? What's that about? And new recruits?”

“Co-co-commander? Is this a- no, it can't be. Can't be a joke. Why, Pauline, why?”

“MISTER PAILER! Pauline said you could EXPLAIN. Well please DO! I want to know what's happening!”

“Hmph. Fine then, missy. So, if you're actually the commander… Well, long ago, there was a clan of vikings. Some of the vikings were of royal blood, and one day they declared they were the rulers. A group of vikings stood up to them, and they were killed. But in the shadows, another group of vikings formed the Rebels. They were led by a viking named Hiknokbo, who declared everlasting war. And if you're the commander, you're his descendant. Hooray, more young people trying to lead. How old are you, 15?”

“I'm not THAT short! Im 16. 16 and a half, actually.”

Amber was surprisingly calm, given the fact she was now leading an army. All she wanted to do was find Pauline and strangle him for being so vague. But first, she had to lead an army. And finish an everlasting war, apparently. Amber sighed. She had just wanted muffins!

Amber  wanted muffins now. The only food she had gotten in jail was stale bread and lukewarm water in a tin bowl. She started to hum, and dug a bracelet out of her sweatshirt pocket. The bracelet, the one her mom had given her the day she and Dad had left for good. “Keep it close, Amber. I’ll always be with you if you keep that bracelet,” Her mother had said. She studied the intricate pattern of purple and grey thread, interwoven with small lavender beads that formed designs of flowers blooming.

“Holding cell eight! What's that you're hiding? Come over here and give it to me.”

A passing guard stopped in front of her cell.

“I can’t you dummy. I’m behind bars, if you haven’t noticed. Oh, and you wanted to see what I’m holding? It’s a bracelet that my mom gave me. Before she DIED. so I bring it with me everywhere I go, and BLA BLA BLA.”

The guard rolled his eyes and took a long and thin key off a loop of metal and  unlocked her cell.

“Come on already. It's time for your trial.”

Amber stumbled out of the cell, her legs weak from sitting in a cramped cell for seven days. The guard put handcuffs on her and led her down a long hall to a courtroom. He shoved her into a chair heavily guarded by several men in dark suits with tasers at their sides. They scowled behind tinted sunglasses and slicked down hair. Amber hated them instantly. She shivered in her ripped purple sweatshirt, her long gold-brown hair rippling down her back. Even though she hadnt brushed it, it still looked nice. She focused her hazel eyes on the legs of her faded blue jeans, which were ripped and torn from crawling under barbed wire to get to the enemy fort…-long story. A loud, jarring voice brought Amber back to reality, and she looked up at the judge.

“AMBER TOLING! You were put here under charges of blowing up a building for no apparent reason!”

Amber knew that wasn't true. The building had been an enemy base, and she had blown it up for a reason. But stupid police caught her and stuck her in this junk of a jail, just so she could get sentanced to more time here.

“DO YOU ADMIT YOU DID DO THIS CRIME?”

Amber shook her head. She wouldn't stay here. The army needed her. The judge frowned down at her.

“WELL, I DON'T CARE WHAT SHE THINKS. SHE IS GUILTY! GUILTY! I HAVE PROOF!”

The judge held up a small black box. Amber realized with a groan that it was film from security cameras. She thought she had destroyed them all! The judge, meanwhile, was putting the film into a projector. Light flickered onto a screen and the clip began to play. It showed Amber, her face dirty and clothes ripped from sneaking into the Ruler’s base, creeping through the halls, sticking black boxes on the walls at different intervals. A guard passed, and before he could call out, Amber shot him in the leg with a tranquilizer dart. He fell to the floor and Amber continued on. Soon, she came outside and ran a short distance away. Then she took a small remote-control from her pocket and pressed a red button. She stood back and watched as the base rumbled, then a giant mushroom smoke cloud blossomed from the roof and the building exploded. The clip stopped and all eyes turned to Amber.

“Uh… it's not what you think it is?” she squeaked, but the judge spoke over her.

“ALL IN FAVOR OF TWO YEAR IMPRISONMENT?”

Everyone in the room except Amber raised their hands.

“ALRIGHT! THATS FINAL!” the judge shouted, slamming a mallet on his desk.

Amber found herself thrown into a different cell, this one just slightly bigger, and different layout. To her right was a cement slab sticking out from the wall that would serve as a bed, table, and bench. It had a couple thin sheets thrown on it, and they didn't look warm at ALL. On her left was a toilet and a sink. There was a tiny window on the far wall that was criss-crossed with iron bars, but still let a little sunlight in. The only other source of light was a dim light bulb in a chicken-wire cage on the ceiling.

“Great. Hello, home for two years.” Amber muttered as the guards closed and locked the door behind her. She sighed and sank onto the ‘bed’. Amber ran her fingers through her tangled hair and felt something cold.

“Huh? What's this?”
