Story Concepts

This thread will be for concepts or ideas.

And last time I went camping I got a little idea in my head.

SO, perspective!

You are sitting at the edge of a lake. The lake is a beautiful light blue, with fluffy foam in spots across it. You have a tackle box of assorted items, and a fishing pole. You carefully chose the bestselling bait, known for its effectiveness. A mini fake dollar of great fake value. You tie it to the end of the string, being wary of tying the tightest knot you know. Then, you are ready. You cast the pole. Wow! perfect cast on first try! You would pat your shoulder, if you had one.The string descends into the depths. It is a long, long string. Suddenly the line jerks! That hardly took a second. You reel it in as fast as you can. They say, too slow or too fast and your catch might fall off. That is true... Unless you go super duper ultra fast! In no time at all, your catch is above the water. Dangling, holding on to the fake money, is

a tiny human.

And you're a giant fish.

Who lives above the sky.

Tell me what you think! Welcome to the Story Concept Thread!

Ahh! I love that! This is such a cool idea!

"And you're a giant fish.

Who lives above the sky. "

And my mind just *makes a variety of explosion sounds*

Yes. Just yes. I love this thread already.

I don't know whether I actually thought of this or if I read it somewhere, but I had this idea. There are three of them: Inspiration, Fear, and Desire. They live in the sky, so high they have never been seen. They fly, sprinkling their power. They do not know of the others existence. All they know of is the worlds need for their role. But they are tired. They are tired of this endless work- and for what? Nothing. Inspiration gives inpiration, but he has none. Fear knows no urgency, that feeling of being alive, and afterwards being safe. Desire knows nothing of satifaction, of happiness, for she has never wanted. So what if they just stopped? What would happen to them? And the world...what would happen to it?

Also, I love the fish thing. It's so...perfect. It's kind of like Horton Hears a Who, accept for not at all.

That idea is so interesting!

Well, Inspiration hadn't stopped last week bc I was able to think of that weird giant sky fish thing...(and make a comic page about it. I should probably share that on the Art Posting thread at sometime...)

hmm....

I was imagining what if there were those for every human? That would explain why sometimes we think we should feel fear but we don't, or creative block. Humans always desire something more, so I can't think of Desire taking a break....

But while your idea (only three in the whole world) is better for a story, the concept I was imagining is really just personifying brain cells haha

Horton Hears a Who? It's like it but also not at all? Interesting. Because my birthday is shared with a certain person...

Oh, cool. That is very interesting...

Coincidence? Perhaps not.

I thought it was like Horton Hears a Who becasue of the way it flips thing, because the Who's are essentialy humans, but they're smaller, they're completely vulnerable, and it's up to animals, who are so much larger and have complete control, to save them. I don't know, my mind works in weird ways sometimes.
