URGENT IDEA!!!!!!!

Chatterbox: Inkwell

URGENT IDEA!!!!!!!

URGENT IDEA!!!!!!!

I just had an amazing idea- I’ve actually had it for a bit but I was kind of afraid that nobody would like it. But anyways, here is it.

What if I make something (with help, obviously) like Kyngdom?  I understand if you don’t want me to becuase I’m so new, I just thought that it’s something I would enjoy doing with some help!

Now here’s a few problems, it would probably (unless the CB Team is interested in granting us a new category like Kyngdom does, although that could be tough) have to all be on Inkwell, but with a lot of pages like that we’d have to figure out how to keep it well organized, maybe make a table of contents, although then we’d have to rely on the Admins putting up with us asking for all of the edits, I’m not sure if they’d like that very much owo

Anyways, I’m probably thinking too far into this, I need to know if you guys and the Admins think it’s okay/it would be fun UwU I understand if you want somebody who’s been on the CB  longer than me to do it.

What a great idea, Niteskiies! You are welcome to start a new
thread for your project. We think other CBers would be interested in joining
and helping to develop your idea as they have on other threads over the years.
There are discussions, art forums, and various contests on this site organized
and run entirely by our creative and enthusiastic Chatterboxers. --Admin

Hey, that sounds really cool! Just one lil quick question - did that idea come from my charrie in the Chatterbox City RP (which sadly didn't take off)?

Yes, at least the part about the bug gods. You don't mind do you?

So here's my idea, tell me if it's no good

It's a sci-fi setting in the galaxy of Verin, specifically the planet Klay. Klay is the central planet, the planet where people, or rather aliens as most of them are, can gather, take refuge and generally live.

One day many of the aliens living Klay receive a piece of mail, an important looking message from somewhere called 'Earth'. The message invites the aliens to Klay Center to meet with the 'humans' and discuss something about some sort of business. A few moments after that, an automated bird (very common in Klay) flies up to the bird and spurts out a letter. "If you received a message from Earth, destroy it immediately and Do Not Go."

I know the plot is a lot like Kyngdom, but it will be quite a bit different.

Yeah I like that! And then (obviously) you would recieve a letter from Earth (probably on a new thread) and it would be like "come immediately because ____, ____, and ____," and then everyone would have to make a choice, and that would basically be the starting prompt. And we could try to keep it to one thread, so it's a little more like and RP, where you just post parts from that thread? I don't know. I'm not super familiar with Kyngdom, because I felt very daunted by the amount of old threads to wade through in order to even understand what was happening XDD

I think this is a great idea!  I don't have a ton of time but I'd like to join.  Maybe as a small or easy job.

oo can I join? If it's not too late. Sorry for my three-day absence from the CB...

Ooh, and for the intergalactic space thing, there could be a third party (like catastrophe in Kyngdom), like some sort of interdimensional association that's like the main baddie, but doesn't appear until like midway or something?

Also, if we want to make a sort of map thing for the space thing, I volunteer!

Just wondering, since it seems like we are going to go with sci-fi, would people still like to do my idea too? Just as a seperate thing?

Sorry for not being quite so active recently. I love this idea and think that it is 100% brilliant. I would love to be a part of it in any way I can. I do not have a ton of time right now though but bottom line is: idea sounds great and may I join in with it.

Here's the story idea that I had:

A group of robots mysteriously appear on a seemingly abandoned planet. There are cities, highways, and a strange dome located at the planet's North Pole. These robots don't know where they are or how they got there - and there are other strange robots that look just like them, mindlessly prowling the planet, looking for something - what, the robots aren't sure. Eerie guards hover over the robots constantly, occasionally hunting one down. These hovering guards are working for someone who wants the robots gone; the robots have no clue who it is. As war breaks out among the zombie robots, each faction trying to claim the planet for its own, the robots realize they must solve the mystery of why they are here if they are ever going to be free of this mysterious evil...

I know there's a lot of unanswered questions in this description, but the original story synopsis is about six times as long as this. There's a lot of opportunities for RPing here - you could be one of the robots, a zombie, one of the mysterious guards, maybe even one of this planet's original inhabitants. Let me know what you guys think!

Hmmm, I think the concept is pretty cool, but I think there's not two clear sides. I think Kyngdom was as fun as it was because of its diversity - they had two main sides, the animals and BIG, but there were more subcultures as well, and no clear bad guy, until about the middle of the story. I feel like if everyone's robots, it won't be as interesting or diverse. This is just my opinion :).

I think for the main plot, there should be a clear conflict at first, like FAFA vs. BIG (but no one side is clearly evil), and different groups arise because of the direction the plot is taking.

Wait, here's a plot idea that combines both ideas.

A distress call from (insert planet name here) is sent to hundreds and hundreds of planets, all across the galaxy--clearly, whatever happened there is a big deal. But the leaders of the galaxy try to cover it up, saying nothing has happened and the distress signal was just a technical error. However, some choose to investigate what's going on anyways. These investigators get another mysertious message--this one very odd, as it's written on paper--something that hasn't been used to send letters in a very long time. It says 'TRUST NOBODY.' Our charries are suddenly plunged into the middle of what looks like a galactic cover-up, and possible war. Those who choose to investigate go missing in strange ways, and more distress signals are being sent from (insert same planet name here) each day.

Sound good? I did my best to combine elements from both. This leaves a lot open--and it's not very similar to Kyngdom, either.

That’s an awesome idea!! I think I’ll incorporate that into the main plot for sure. Lemme write what I have so far below quick a sec...

Plot Idea So Far (Admins, do you think this is any good? I’d like your opinions too!)

A huge galaxy, Krein. There are many planets, Klay, Nemia, Annow, Slatu and Pari. The story mainly takes place in Pari, although I’ll tell you about all of them anyways. (Yeah I swapped the main planet, I liked the name Pari better and it sounded more modern xD)  Klay is the desert planet. Not many things live here, though you may eventually meet up with some soon enough. Those people are the Rouges, the ones who have strayed from society and made their own. Rouges isn’t nessecarily a bad title, most of them are very nice, they just couldn’t deal with society overcoming their homes. Nemia is the ocean planet. The planet is made entirely out of water and sand, and the Mervian Species live here. They have evolved to have gills and fins, and can swim easily with no trouble. They’ve developed a civilization, an underwater Kingdom, Altan. To go to Nemia you must ask for a Mervian to bestow upon you a special necklace which will protect you and let you breathe. Annow is the diverse planet. Everyone who comes from Annow has a distinctive color of skin, and their names are whatever color they are. Annow is known for its wide range of things planet-wise, there’s a city, Pyrin, which is very bustling and modern (not nearly as bustling or modern as Pari, though, mind you.). There’s a forest, Creme, and the rest is grasslands. Slatu is, to put it simply, a smaller wanna-be version of Pari. Slatu is half the size of the other planets and is one big city (alike to Pari). It’s not as modern or bustling as even Pyrin on Annow. It’s really not much to talk about. The folks from other planets call it disgraceful, and anyone from Slatu is looked down upon. And finally, Pari. Pari is one big, humongous bustling, modern city. Folks from every planet dream to come to Pari, to live and work there (A lot like Zootopia). All of the last set trends are made in Pari, and the most famous celebrities live there. It’s bigger than the other planets by a smidge. Pari is the symbol of peace, friendship and unity. Or is it? One day the rulers of the planets get letters of distress from an unknown planet, (no not Earth) But as to not worry the people they decide not to tell them. Eventually it’s no more to keep the people happy, it’s to stay away from the unknown planet. The rulers know who they are, but will you uncover the secret?

Any good? Questions?  Comments? Anything I should add?

I think it all sounds intriguing and it offers many possibilities for creative story lines! I look forward to reading what develops.

Sounds good! One question though: so, like I said earlier, I haven't waded through all those threads in Kyngdom, so I'm not sure about this one thing. Do we create charries and post as charries? Or do we create charries and post as we would in an RP, as a CBer with a little "[Insert charrie]~" and then the installment?
