I've wanted to make this for a long time...am I allowed to make an RP of a pre-existing fictional world? I hope I'm not plagiarizing. Um.
Oh, and there might be spoilers??? I mean I don't know exactly what's going to happen, but here's a warning.
Also I've never made an RP before so I don't really know what I'm doing. xD I made it pretty vague so that there's more room to create characters and a plot as we go along.
It's the first week of school, and you're sitting in the Great Hall at your house table. The large room is full of delicious aromas and chattering students. You look up at the doorway, but your best friend still isn't here. You wonder if they're angry at you for some reason.
Your first class is Transfiguration, but they don't show up there, either. Did they fall sick? But you remember seeing them at dinner last night, and they were perfectly fine then. After Transifiguration, you race back up to your House common room and search the room, but you can't find them anywhere. Finally you have to run to your next class, but you're worried. Where could they be?

Name: Rasmus Switch
Age: 12
Gender/pronouns: He/him
Personality: Kind and observant, but incredibly shy. He has only a few friends, who are in other houses. Has very intense emotions. Dislikes conflict and avoids it whenever possible.
Appearance: 5’3, brown hair, brown eyes. Often seen wearing some kind of polo and jeans under his robes.
House: Hufflepuff (they don’t get enough love)
Patronus: Elephant (though he doesn’t know how to cast a Patronus Charm)
Pets (if any): None
Other: His father is a wizard (writing textbooks, some of which are used at Hogwarts) and his mother is a Muggle (works as a realtor)

There are a lot of Hufflepuffs, but I love Hufflepuff, so I'm making one! @Lupine, are we allowed to make multiple charries? Also, is this pre-Potter, post-Potter, or during the series? Or just kind of in a parallel Hogwarts where Harry Potter doesn't exist? I'm so excited for this!

Gender/Pronouns: Female, she/her
Personality: Bubbly, enthusiastic, extroverted, loves being around people, she’s basically sunshine as a person, and she will make friends with almost anyone she meets. She’s super trusting, and once she’s your friend, she’ll be loyal to you no matter what. She tends to overlook flaws, which can be a blessing and a curse- she sees past mistakes, but she also sometimes ignores red flags, which can get her into trouble. She’ll pretty much go along with anything, which means if her friends are climbing to the top of the Astronomy tower at midnight, she’s climbing to the top of the Astronomy tower at midnight. She also loves hugs.
Appearance: Chin-length floofy pastel-pink hair, light skin, lots of freckles on her cheeks and nose, light brown eyes. She’s short and petite, and her ears are double pierced. When she’s not wearing her robes, she’s usually in something flowy and floral, or oversized sweaters when it’s cold.
House: Hufflepuff
Patronus: Dolphin
Pets: A barn owl named Athena
Other: She’s a half-blood.

Personality: Serious and studious. He's pretty ambitious, and really wants to do well in school and magic. He wants to be an auror! Pretty brave, will speak out, and he can see through things. However, he only has a few friends, and isn't particularly exciting in any way. Ongoing rivalry with Charlie (they've known each other since they were little).
Appearance: Messy kind of long blonde hair, sometimes in a ponytail. Gray eyes. Wears glasses. Half-blood. He likes wearing red.

I probably won't be back on most of the site for a while, but I'm going to try to be active on a couple of RPs, just to get my creative juices flowing (What an odd phrase. I wonder what creative juice would taste like.) and to ease back into being here and at school at the same time. I missed you (and everyone else) too.

Personality: Bubbly, friendly, and very mischevious. Doesn't follow rules and often spaces out. He's very creative but lacks focus. He's not that good at school, but he's very social and popular.
Appearance: Average height, almond shaped eyes and warm skin. He changes his appearence a lot because he's a metamorphagus. He likes the color blue a lot, so he'll change his hair into shades of blue and change up the style. He likes to shift into animals and pull pranks on people.
House: Ravenclaw! (We can't all be Hufflepuffs)

Other: Although he's a Ravenclaw, he's a terrible student. He's not quite sure why he's in Ravenclaw at all. He's also a chaser for the Ravenclaw quidditch team.

Name: Letitia Margaret Woodburne
Age: 14 (4th year)
Gender/pronouns: Female, she/her/hers
Personality: She loves animals, and she always carries around a copy of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them (the textbook). When she grows up, she wants to become an advocate for the rights of non-human magical beings. But for now, her only place of work is the halls of Hogwarts, where she host protests on the second Friday of every month. She is quite smart when she cares about something, but if she isn’t entirely interested in something, her mind tends to wander off. She is rather scatterbrained when it comes to everything except her protests (they are immensely organized), and is often late to class.
Appearance: She is tall and rather gangly, with extremely pale skin that will not tan no matter how hard she tries, extremely large, grey eyes under thick, dark eyebrows, and thin, pale lips. She has thick, wire-rimmed glasses that always seem to be slipping down her large, beakish nose. Her hair is a dark brown that is nearly black, which she wears in a chin length bob with long bangs that always fall into her eyes. She often wears a gold hair clip, but it doesn’t do much to help. Her favorite outfit (of which she has many similar variations) is a long, mint green skirt with two large, forest green stripes, one on the bottom, one on the top; a black tank top, an open, transparent, button-up dress shirt of forest green; and black flats.
House: Slytherin, but she was a Hatstall. She’ll never tell anyone the other House she was considered for.
Patronus: A hare.
Pets (if any): A slinky tabby cat named Liberty.
Other: She believes she is a halfblood, but she isn’t sure. She was adopted by the important (pureblood) family the Woodburne’s when she was an toddler, and doesn’t remember anything before that except a very dirty, smelly orphanage run by a kind but poor young woman. Also, if no one else has a 4th year charrie by the time this starts, I will change Letitia to be 13.
