Two years ago there was an incident in the town of Silvertoe, Colorado. A nearby nuclear plant had a malfunction, destroying the plant and causing strange abilities to spark in the young people who lived nearby. Some discovered they had enhanced physical abilities. Some discovered they could resonate with the environment around them. All discovered that their lives would never be the same again.
Soon after, the town was put on lockdown by the governmentto prevent the news of these "superpowered" humans from getting out, and to keep them in check. The citizens protested at first, but that changed nothing. This conflict caused the once-tranquil town of Silvertoe to become divided. Rebels became crimminals or plotted plans of escape, relishing in their newfound powers. Heroes used these powers to try and keep the peace, or willingly joined the special force that the government had created to use the citizens' powers for military goals. The others, known as "Neutrals", tried to retain as much of their typical lives as they could, wishing for the peace of the past. This is where we find our story.

Personality: Nerdy, sort-confident, SKATEBOARDER
Powers/Skills (please try to avoid an OP charrie!): Shape-shifting, but only into animals; not other people.
Hero, Rebel, or Neutral?: Rebel/Hero, so I'm kinda on neither side, helping both sides when they need it if that's okay

Appearence: Humanoid,blue skin and hair,catlike ears
Personality: Although she is by no definitions a 'hero" She refuses to take human life. She is a huge dork and tends to switch costumes and catchphrases at least daily. She doesn't seem to truly understand the consequences of her actions And treats life as a game,attacking enimies much stronger than her and shipping her fellow superpowered. She can be shy around others but that is generally only when she's in her secret identity form.

Appearence: tanned skin, white-blonde short hair, light blue-gray eyes, often wears tight clothes like leggings and T-shirts
Personality: Shy around new people but excitable and talkative around familiar people. Intelligent, loves to read. Creative an imaginative, loves to write and draw.
Powers/Skills (please try to avoid an OP charrie!): Can create imagiantive animals to help her (such as wolves with wings and antlers or ting seahorse-looking thing made of water)
Hero, Rebel, or Neutral?: Sort of hero, sort of rebel. Helps people with their powers but is not compliant to the government's wishes.
Backstory (optional): Mother disappeared when she was only 6. Her father died when she was 8. She lived with her loving aunt and uncle until they were killed by the nuclear radiation. She loves her powers, and the animals she creates are her best friends.

@Sterling, ALSO, all my characters share my religion, Messianic Judaism. If you don't want to study into that, you can just make him Christian. :)

Gender: female, she/her
Personality: Marina has a somewhat cynical view on life, but still wishes she could do something important someday. Hard worker, serious and sensible. She can seem unfeeling and even a bit mean, but she isn't really. She feels things deeply but hides her emotions from most people. She can be influenced to do bad or good, and if she was in Hogwarts she'd probably be a Slytherin.
Appearance: dark skinned with long black braided hair and dark brown eyes. Tall and lanky but strong.
Powers/skills: She has amazing balance and speed, and can land on her feet no matter what. She can hold her breath under water for 1 hour. (that's not too much, right?)
Hero, Rebel, or Neutral: Honestly she could be any of them, I'll let you choose.
Backstory: She grew up on a small farm near Silvertoe with her parents and brother and sister, but she wanted to do something more and moved to the city. She had just arrived and gotten a job when the malfunction happened.
