This new power is Ali and his protector is named Shadow, the Immortal Destroyer, and they are the gods but they do not know it. In Sumra war is waged against the looming Quendor peoples of the nearby planet Khimer, connected tp the Imperial City by a stream of interdimensional engineered magic, and the Sumrans have found their greatest ally and greatest enemy in the spirit-not-blood (ghanyas) twins.

The ghanyas are Ren and Ori, and one will betray. Then he will come back and he will not be forgiven by all but one. They will try to destroy him. Then he will burn. Auburn exists in a state of peace and calm, and all is perfect there. It is protected by a barrier generated by the immortal queen. It is populated by the peace loving Hatil cats, soft and warm and calm and loyal. When Shadow and Ali find themselves there, they bring terrible trouble.

Khimer: Tharesynd; Olivimire; Khimer; Theostine; Stellacite and Vulpo, the Twin Cities. Nothing is forgotten. Tharesynd battles Sumra and Olivimire quests for total dominion at the hands of Egninrocignoc, the Destroyer. Lo! The Destroyer has betrayed his bosom-friend Egninrocignoc. Legend weaves the two into one unstoppable image, but the truth is, the Destroyer remembers and so does Egninrocignoc. The Destroyer wants what he had - love - for even monsters are human. And Egninrocignoc wants him dead. The Destroyer finds in Cataria (she) a new aide and of other ragtag shanks he forms an army. Nothing stands before the Destroyer, all bow before Egninrocignoc, and soon their blood will mix and their lives will fail. Embers will be formed and Cataria will grieve and the rocks covering his tomb are nothing to them. They are perfectly matched and they burn up into the sky and they are: Protection. Perfection. Overthorn.

The Old Ones: The Old Ones are the ones who brew all lives and they give their lives in exchange for sight. They understand things perfectly and live in a glass globe called Tharesynd. They live on stories and drink half-plots as their nectar.

Kiriakakis: All over tiny islands - thousands of them, unnamed, unknown, burst apart centuries and centuries ago by the immortal beautiful Destroyer. One massive city with a flood pouring through its streets and a storm broiling overhead. Bloody handprints on the walls and muddy boots.
