CHAPTER ONE: In which the lords of chaos meet, and of the lonesome end of Regis edgewater.

The meeting had begun. A man calm and still sat in the center of a group of... Things. Men, women, children, animals, things from fairy tales, things from the pages of lovecraft, everything in between. The one in the middle clear his throat.

it begins

Immediately a clamour rose up.  A small yellow bear cleared it's throat: "Am we am be ready?" To heck with 'being ready'" cried another "I've ben waiting for years!  A small group off to the left looked around, nervous.  Lord entropy, formerly doctor howdee cleared his throat.

" Ahem, um. I'd love to do this. We've been waiting for a long time."

The assembled ones roared with joy

"But... Uh what of edgewater? He knows us. He knows what we are, or enough to know what we plan."

The one in the center smiled. It was a convincing smile, if scarred. he flipped his blood red hair out of his eye

Deal with him.

Ooooooh that's so well written! The character in the middle of the circle... I'm simultaenously scared of him (as a reader, he's pretty creepy) and impressed by him (as a writer, he's written super well and I love how you wrote his dialouge) Great part!!!

Relax. Instead of posting secrets about the next chapters i'll just post one of them.

CHAPTER 2: In which we are enlightened to the origin of a certain folk tradition, and the first of many releases occurs.

In southern wales there is an intresting tradition. The village rapscallion puts on a sheet, and a horse skull with a lever. The Rhymer does not look like that, but it looks close enough.   The rapscallion then knocks on a door and sings about why it should be let in. The rhymer does the same. Both expect the person in the house to sing back about why they cannot. If the inhabitants do not sing, both can come in. The rapscallion takes the peoples food. The singer takes something else.

The singer is free now. The chaos perpatrators freed him. Hopefully the people in the town below remember the songs. Hopefully the people remember the singers.

Have a great day guys! And remember that if you find  yourself engaged in a rap battle with a demonic horse stay calm. You're just in wales.

XD Great part! Also, that quote is hilarious! "And remember that if you find  yourself engaged in a rap battle with a demonic horse stay calm. You're just in wales." The weirdest thing about that is that it actually makes sense...

Chapter Two and a half: In which a horse walks into a bar, the bartender asks him why the long face, and i share some important information for the future of this thread.

So this horse walks into a bar. It's not really a horse though. And before it walked in it was singing at the door, and before that it was in a cell waiting to be freed. And before all of that it was the terror of wales, screaming and singing and...

A horse walks into a bar. More of a pub really. The bartender heard it singing at the door. He had heard that beautiful voice begging to be let in from the cold...And he had smiled, "come on in! Have some food, on the house!" And then it walked in. He saw the horrible thing, A horse skull, tentacles, white, oozing flesh. And hysteria took him over. He wasn't scared.  A monster was in front of him and he wasn't even scared.  He grinned: "why the long face?" And it opened it's mouth and took what it came for.

Yes. I wrote an entire chapter Just to make a stupid pun.

Truly, I have no shame. Oh right, i promised lore didn't I. Okay.

Chaos and order are the two main factors at war. The lords of chaos (loki, entropy, etc. we've met them.)  Are trying to use chaos to recreate a better world, by destroying it.  The paladins of chaos (ben franklin, The Claus family and it's counterparts, etc. Can't wait for you to meet them) Have chaos powers as well but the try to use it for good/keep chaos in balance.   And there are also lords and paladins of order, They're basically the same.  (but with order.) And anything else i can tell you is a spoiler.  Also, that tradition is real. Look up Mari Lwyd. And i want a name for this series so recommendations are appricieated.

Remember, you can't fight fate, but you can fight unicorns.

This keeps getting better and better...

Also,  two things:

One: I did look up Mari Lwyd, and I did read about it. My only question is: How on earth did you find out about that?! That's gotta be the most random, obscure tradition of all time...

And two: Thanks for the explanation! I understood each part but was a little confused on how it all came together. Until, of course, you posted Part 2.5.
