This is actually an idea for a book I had, but I decided to convert it into a RP. So, here we go!

The countries of Amalquar and Veeran sit directly next to each other on maps, but that doesn't necessarily mean they're right next to each other. In fact, a huge, magical portal is the only access between them. The portal is right on Amalquar's border, though, which is why confused mapmakers placed them beside each other on maps. In Amalquar live the humans. They are innovative and progressive, constantly pushing forward with new weapons, machines, and inventions. They are ruled by one all-powerful king. The elves live in Veeran. They are, by default, tall, thin creatures, with elongated ears and large, sparkling eyes. They have magical powers, harnessed through staffs with colored glass globes on the end: red globes for battle magic, blue for healing, and green for nature. They are ruled by a star-chosen leader, the Elfair, who is born with a glowing mark on their forehead to show that they will be the next Elfair. Solfar, the king of Amalquar (who I will post a charrie sheet for, along with my other charries, including the Elfair) went nearly insane with rage and sorrow when his wife, Queen Emeria, died from a magical arrow that was meant for him. Solfar immediately declared war on Veeran. The war has now been raging for 15 human years... will it ever end?

Battle magic consists of blasts of fire and red, harming light. Healing magic is a soft blue light that heals. Nature magic is bolts, kind of like lightning, made of green light.

Keep in mind that there are elves that live in Amalquar, for various reasons. These elves (if they're male or look male) are forced to choose between incarceration camps or joining the human army. (If they're female or look female, they have to be incarcerated)

I realized there's a typo in the elfs' charrie sheet! When it says "Do they live in Amalquar or Veeran (if Veeran, and they're male, look male, or are disguised as male, tell whether they're going to join the army or be incarcerated)?" I meant "if Amalquar".
Here are my charries! I have the king, the Elfair, an elf soldier in the human army, and an elf battle mage in the elf army.
Name: Solfar Meeroma
Age: 34
Gender/pronouns: male, he/him
Appearance: He is of average height and build. His messy hair is gray-brown, and he usually has scraggly stubble on his chin, except for special occasions. His crown is made of solid gold and embedded with shimmering blue-gray jewels and lined with crushed velvet of the same color. He often wears loose “peasant man” shirts and tight-ish pants with a blue-gray velvet robe. His eyes are a dark, stormy, intelligent silver with lighter gray flecks in them. His figure is not exceedingly tall or commanding, but it is very frightening and intimidating. His eyes are often clouded by blind rage and disgust at everything he sees.

Personality: To summarize would be to say that he… does not have a winning personality. He is dark, dreary, mysterious, and brooding. The kingdom was a much happier place when Queen Emeria was alive. Now, the sky seems to be perpetually clouded over, as if a storm were just about to hit. He treats no one well, but he does bribe to get his way, frequently. He is also extremely explosive and volatile.
Backstory (optional): His backstory is explained in the intro to the RP!
Name: Zeena Fororak
Age (for elves, just take what age they'd be in human years and multiply that by 4): 104; 26 in human years
Gender/pronouns: female, she/her
Appearance: Tall and elegant with shining tanned skin, of a slim build. Her hair is deep, dark red, and her eyes are a soft hazel brown. She wears swishy, pale-colored dresses and her crown is a series of delicate golden straps that hold a vibrant green emerald in place on the middle of her forehead. She walks gracefully, with an impeccably straight back. She stands and sits in much the same way. She is regal and royal in all aspects.
Magic Type (battle, healing, nature): nature
Personality: She is cold and aloof with nearly everyone, since she’s, y’know, the Elfair and all. However, with the people she’s close to (which is not many), she is extroverted and excitable, bright, peppy, and bubbly.
Backstory (optional): When she was born, she had a glowing green mark on her forehead. She was immediately given to the current Elfair to be trained for her tasks.

Other: A little elf girl with pale skin, pale hair, dark eyes, and healing magic is going to be the next Elfair, and she tags after Zeena. Everywhere. Her name's Leelia.
Name: Aerian (no last name)
Age (for elves, just take what age they'd be in human years and multiply that by 4): 56; 14 in human years
Gender/pronouns: male, he/him
Appearance: Average height, slim, with average pale-ish skin and a few freckles. His eyes are a dull, unassuming blue-gray. His hair is soft and a light blonde-brown. Before the Elf-Human war, he would usually wear simple beige tunics and brown leggings, with old, worn leather belts cinching it at the waist. During the war, he wears a chain-mail shirt with a tunic over it, chain-mail leggings, and a helmet with a nasal on it. He has a nearly-permanent look of frightened concern on his face.
Magic Type (battle, healing, nature): He's actually never known about elf magic. He grew up in Amalquar with only his (also uninformed) older brother. I'm thinking he'll discover that he has nature magic further into the RP.
Personality: Quiet and kind, loyal to his friends and family, though he doesn't make friends easily, and doesn't become very attached to them (for reasons). He's introverted and somewhat cowardly, and he doesn't talk to pretty much anyone, focusing on whatever task's at hand. He's a hard worker, which makes up for his lack of strength. He also has a lot of stamina, and is resilient to heat, though not to cold.
Backstory (optional): His parents immigrated to Amalquar to escape the hierarchy and power-Aerian doesn't know much about them, but they were actually dark elves. They died after Aerian was born, leaving him in the care of his older brother. The two found work and a minimal wage as farmhands. When the war against elves was declared, Aerian escaped being incarcerated by joining the human army.

Name: Teemo Enfranzo
Age (for elves, just take what age they'd be in human years and multiply that by 4): 80; 20 in human years
Gender/pronouns: male, he/him
Appearance: Tall, average, muscular build. Half of his head is shaved, he has dark army-green-dyed hair to his shoulder on the other (right) side. His left eye has a scar running through it that wraps around to the side of his head. That same eye is a pale, milky, silvery color, and he's blind on that side. His right eye is is a harsh, sharp yellowy-green color. He wears white shirts, dark pants, and often a short, bright red cape with a hood. He has abnormally long canine teeth; a side effect of becoming a skilled battle mage.
Magic Type (battle, healing, nature): battle
Personality: His personality is dark and loud. The color most commonly associated with him is red; he gets bloodlust often and severely. He talks often and to everyone; he's an extrovert, though not many people know it; they're too scared to really get to know him. He is strong, fast, and has a lot of stamina; he's resilient to pretty much anything.
Backstory (optional): I dunno I can't think of anything for him right now heh

Age (for elves, just take what age they'd be in human years and multiply that by 4): 76, Or 19 in human years.
Gender/pronouns: Female, she/her/they
Appearance: Soft brown hair, dark rich eyes, wheres tan tunic and shorts, has tan bands wrapped around arms and legs. barefooted.
Magic Type (battle, healing, nature): Nature but also has a hint of healing.
Personality: determind, strong, ferce, brave, challging.
Backstory (optional): mom was nature and dad was healing, so she had a little bit of healing in her.

Gender/pronouns: Female, she/her
Appearance: Short for an elf, with bronze skin, long bleach-blonde hair with braided bangs, turqoise eyes, and a thin scar on her cheek. Wears a white blouse, short dark blue skirt, light brown leggings, and a black cloak with gold patterns. She also wears a lot of jewelry.
Magic Type (battle, healing, nature): Healing, but tends to hide it
Personality: Serious, clever, competitive, defensive. She's a warrior and tries too be tough and not show emotion because she thinks it makes her weak. She also hides her healing magic because of this.
Backstory (optional): I can't think of anything right now, but I'll probably come up with something dramatic later.

Name: Akhera Muskad
Age: 17
Gender/pronouns: She/her
Appearance: Tall for her age with waist length brown wavy hair and bright blue eyes. Often will wear a knee length blue dress with a leather belt and leather boots. Apart from her eys she is very avarage looking and would not stand out in a crowd.
Are they a civilian, a soldier, or part of the king's Spy Corp?: Kings Spy Corp.
Personality: When at home she is very bright and sunny, unless her mother is around where she becomes sullen and moody and very quiet. However she is very good at becoming a compleatly diferent person if a mission demands it.
Backstory (optional): Akhera was born to Alana Muskad but Alana strugled with her drinking problems and left her newborn baby with her grandparents, a average civilian family. Alana will visit every now and again, but mostly she forgets. Especialy on days that are importent to Akhera. When Akhera was a 7 year old girl she was drafted by the Kings Spy Corps for a mission where they needed a young girl, and ever since then, Akhera has been a spy.

Hope the backstory meets up with the world you are disinging. If not just tell me and I will change it. Do you have any idea how often these will come out so I can be ready? I am so excited!

Personality: introverted, shy, quiet, cowardly, caring, kind, understanding, hates battle and fighting, likes reading, peaceful, sensible.
Other: I'm planning on making him find an injured elf soldier and after struggling internally with alliances and all that, taking the elf in and hiding it from the humans. It can be someone's charrie or an npc, it doesn't matter to me.

Gender/pronouns: Female, she/her
Appearance: Short for her age, black eyes with a glint that looks like fire, brown skin, red-brown hair, wears flexible clothing mossy green clothing.
Magic Type (battle, healing, nature): Nature
Personality: Underestimated, skeptical, doesnt like to talk. Good with swords.
Backstory (optional): Her parents were in the army and had her in Amalquar where she grew up with a human family who never let her out of the house. Everyone knew her as Nancy and Ross's sickly girl. When she was 44 (11 in human years) they sent her to go to Veeren where she began training for the army, began hastend magic lessons, and got her parents last name, Winspur

Other: Has a hawk and a wolf, trying to become best friends with the elfair and so far has succeeded in only a small freindship.

Appearance: He has narrow gray eyes. His fine wavy, brown hair is neck-length and is worn in a severe style. He is tall and has a boyish build. His skin is tanned. He has prominent ears. His wardrobe is strange and tight, with a lot of gray and green.

Personality: Strong-willed, tough, protective
Backstory (optional): Raised from a large family of barbarians.
