Creativity Cafe was

Creativity Cafe was a cozy little shop located just past Writer’s Block, on the banks of the Rewrite River. It was owned by a person known as Mx. Scribe, who always seemed to teach anyone who visited their shop a lesson about one’s own self. Mx. Scribe had learned to work with all sorts of creatures over the years, and there had never been an unsatisfied customer in their shop. You wonder what lesson Scribe could teach you…

Hello, yes, this is a Coffeehouse roleplay! For those that don’t know, a coffeehouse/cafe roleplay is a kind of roleplay where writers use  their already-made charries, usually in order to develop them. For example, maybe you’re writing a novel and you’re not quite sure you understand your protagonist. Well, you could use them in a coffeehouse roleplay, where they interact with other characters from totally different worlds and stories--and it makes you think quite deeply about how your character would react to totally new things, helping you understand/develop them. You can also use any of charries, developed or not--sometimes it’s fun to let the characters we’re proudest of creating interact with one another.
Sounds interesting? Well, if you’d like to join, here’s the character sheet:
Name:
Age:
Gender/Pronouns:
Species:
Personality:
Appearance:
Abilities/Strengths:
Weaknesses:
Background (Optional):
Other:
Please only use characters you’ve created. They can, however, be a fandom character--for example, a character you made for a Harry Potter roleplay or something. I’ll post my characters once this shows up.
Have fun!

~Elsie~

I put one leg in front of the other and I keep walking even though my legs are tired. Millie, my puppy that I got for my tenth birthday, is panting, which Emmy told me is because she's tired and thirsty.

I realize, just then, that I'm thirsty, as well. I stretch out my tongue like I would if it was raining, but since it's not raining, no water drops on my tongue. I breathe in and out and try not to throw a fit because I'm thirsty and there's no water falling from the clouds.

But while I'm closing my eyes and doing the breathing exercizes Dr. Sutherland taught me, I end up standing in front of a funny little coffee shop with a big sign reading Creativity Café. I look down at Millie and then up at the shop, and decide to go inside.

A little bell rings on the door when I open it, and a person with a name tag that says "Mx. Scribe" on it. They glance my way and smile. "Hello, dear. Dogs on leashes are welcome," Mx. Scribe says kindly.

I nod. "Hello," I say, emphasizing the "L"s in hello, like Dr. Sutherland practices with me. "I would like water, please." I remember to say please at the end like I learned in school. The other week at school we practiced ordering food from a restaurant, and my teacher, Mrs. McNorris said to say please.

"Alright," says Mx. Scribe, "will that be all?"

I shake my head but then I not it because I don't know. Finally, I decide that it's all, and I say, "Yes." Then, hastily, I add, "Please." Mrs. McNorris didn't say whether or not to say please every time you speak to them.

Little do I know that I'm going to get a whole lot more then just something to dull my thirst out of this trip to Creativity Café

(By the way, I'm switching to first-person point of view, if that's alright. I'm writing my novel in third-person, so I thought it'd be nice to change it up a bit. :))

Mx. Scribe brings me a steaming cup of peppermint tea, and I thank them profusely. I'm still curled up in a study wooden chair, which is pushed next to a little table that has a stack of books in the middle. I'm very tempted to grab one of books, but I feel like I should at least attempt to be social. I stare out the window for a moment, working up the nerve to talk to someone, but get distracted by the view. A light rain is falling onto rolling green hills, speckled with colorful wildflowers. I have no idea how that works, considering that another grey building is supposed to be squished up against this cafe, but I like it. I turn away from the window and scan the room. I notice a girl with a cute puppy standing near the counter. She looks a few years older than me, but seems pretty friendly. With a sudden burst of confidence, I smile at her and wave my hand in a would-you-like-to-sit-over-here? sort of way.

Skye-

“Molora. You know, currency?”

I’m not in Inside The Clouds anymore.

Emma blinked. "Oh. Right. Of course, currency. I'll have a muffin, if you really don't mind."
