Okay, so, I forget what this was called before and who made it *heh* so... I'll (try) to explain!
Someone will give a fake book title. Then, someone else will give a synopsis of that book (no limit to how long) and another title. And so on and so fourth.
If I find (or someone else finds) the thread, I'll post it here!

The Whispers:
Cy has been hearing The Whispers since he was 10. Voices; all kinds of voices; speak to him undistinguishable words - but they don't belong to anybody he knows - they don't seem to have a body at all. They are simply...there. And worse, The Whispers seem to follow him everywhere he goes. School, home, vacation. No break. Ever. Except, that is, for music. Music, oh the sweet relief! Sounds without words, beautiful. To Cy, there is nothing better. It is no wonder he is a pianist and baratonist. But one day, when Cy turns thirteen, his parent's announce that there will be no more music for him. His grades aren't high enough for him to continue all of his extracurriculurs, they say. Cy was devestated. Now, there would be no escape from the haunting voices at all. But, when the voices start speaking words to him, audible, understandable, words, Cy begins to realize that The Whispers he's been hearing since he was little are much more dangerous than he thought: In fact, they are hiding whole other worlds behind them...and they're planning to take him away...

The Face In the Window
Serenity lived in NYC for her whole life until her mom announced they were moving. At first, serenity was devestated. She would have to leave all her friends. After a while, she tried to get used to the idea of living somewhere new. Eventually, she was sort of excited. That disappeared when the house turned ot to be in the middle of nowhere. The house was quite old and needed some paint. The inside was covered with dust. Their mom had known about this, so they had left early enough to clean it before bed.
After all the cleaning was done, Serenity went to bed. She woke up to a noise downstairs. She ignored it. It began to move. Now she was scared. She ran to her parents room. Luckily they let her sleep in thier room. She glanced out the window... someone was looking in. She never had the chance to scream.

Triskaphobia:

A Fleet Of Seven Ships
For the longest time, Avi dreamt of sailing. From the time he could walk, he could swim better than kids three years older than him. He studied pirates, made his treehouse into a ship, and begged his Uncle Viktor to take him to the docks.
But the world is changing. As glaciers melt the seas rise and flood costal towns. Fearsome storms attack mercilessly. Avi begins having dreams of cold, watery deaths.
Then, one day at the coast, a sudden riptide sweeps Avi out further to sea. The riptide pulls him under, trying to chain him to the many others who had met their demises in the ocean. As he fights to stay alive, six ships appear out of the mist, another ship on tow. They pull him out of the water, soaking wet.
"We need you. A little while ago, our captain met her end at the hands of the Fire Army. They are killing us. To be at our full strength we need seven captains. Seven captains for seven ships. We are the only ones fighting back. We are the Fleet of Seven Ships."

Amelia knew that she didn't live in a normal orphanage. Not the ones that she's read about in the books in the library. This orphanage is a training center, where the kids learn how to fight with their fists and with their minds. One day Amelia and her friends journey into the outside world, where they realize that they can't be seen to anyone else. The director explains that orphans have a kind of magic, and that she has sheilded them from the rest of the world-for now. But one day, when the orphans' magic gets strong enough, they will rise and defeat the tyrant that rules the country, and who may or may not be an orphan himself.

The Ruby in the Lake
It was supposed to be just a family camping trip, albeit one Kit was dreading. A week in the wilderness with their large, loud family certianly wasn't their idea of fun. But this all changes when they encounter Rinn. Rinn is a lonely dragon that lives in the lake, with shimmering red scales and a wish for friendship. The two quickly become close and Kit begins to abandon their family for Rinn. But a huge storm is brewing on the horizon as Kit's family prepares to leave, and they become trapped by it. Kit realizes that Rinn is the one causing the storm, not wanting her friend to go, and they are torn between protecting their family and keeping their one true friend.
I came up with this on the spot so it's not great :P

Every Fallen Star.
