OK, I got this idea from Leaf, but this is not the same thing exactly! OK, so I want to write an apocalypse story, but since I am not the best writer, I really want people to help me write this. So, I have a idea for a plot and some other ideas that will be listed below!
PLOT IDEA:
(Insert name) has been living in New York City since they were born. A couple weeks ago, it was announced that a test subject had escaped from NeoNeLab. What the scientists at NeoNeLab didn't say was that the test subject had been purposefully infected with a disease they were working on. The disease was not meant to be released. The test subject hasn't shown up yet, so everyone is advised to stay inside for now. But one week later, a report on TV says that the subject had broken into a apartment no far from (insert name)'s apartment and the people inside the other apartment hadn't been killed, only injured. The police said that the people had been acting strange. After questioning the scientists, it was reported that the test subject was infected with a virus that could only infect others through contact. In other words, don't touch anyone with the disease. (insert name) is now very worried and decides to lock themselves up in their apartment. Luckily, (insert name) had always stocked up on food just in case they got stuck in their apartment. Now they only leave their apartment when they absolutely need to. But more attacks and news of people being infected are reported every day. Now almost the whole city is infected.

OK. So that was my idea for the plot. The (insert name)s were who the main character will be, but I don't know the name. So I need people to help me write this story and come up with characters. Uh, use whatever charrie sheet you want. But make sure to have this on it: role:
It will be saying what their role is. Like the main charrie or a side charrie or something. I can answer any questions once this shows up. Bye!

Okie, here's proposal 1, draft 1, chapter 1:

No one means for mistakes to happen. Especially not ones that have to do with the fate of the world.
Yeah, and now the lead scientist from [NeoNeLab] was trying to explain that concept to the media.
No one had meant for specimen 4.9.19.1.19.20.5.18-2 to escape-- It had just happened. Of course, when the mayor of New York City asked how specimen 4.9.19.1.19.20.5.18-2 had come to be contagious with specimen 4.9.19.1.19.20.5.18-1, a deadly disease, in the first place...? Well that was a sticky question.
In the end, lead scientist [insert name 1 here] admitted it was done on purpose. Not to be cruel, of course! They just... needed a test subject to properly assess the risks of the contagion... The lead scientist's voice trailed off, head hung with the knowledge that [insert name 1's pronouns here] inevitably be fired by the end of the week.

Deliquencent worriedly look on at [insert name 2 here], her best friend since junior high. [insert name 2's pronouns here] was biting [2's prounouns] nails as the TV flashed against [2's pronouns] face. Apparently, specimen 4.9.19.1.19.20.5.18-2 had been reported to have broken into an apartment only a couple doors over from [name 2], and [2's prounouns] was not taking it well. The time spent in quarantine had already taken a toll on [2's pronouns], but the added stress of having a contagious disease practically confirmed to be only two doors over had sent [name 2] into a dangerously-low spiral. Deliquencent brushed the hair out of her best friend's eyes, but [2's pronouns] was so absorbed they didn't even react. She sighed; what was she going to do?

I'm not really great at writing apocalyptic stories, but I can still give it a go, just for fun! Tell me what you think, or if you'd rather have anything changed. <3
