Magical School RP!

Petrichor Academy sits high on a cliff somewhere in an undiscovered part of Scotland, on the border between the mediocore and the magical.  The Academy has been an institute of education and magic for ages.  Here students learn things like alchemy and rune-magic alongside math and literature.  Petrichor Academy's student body and faculty are made up of both humans and magical beings.

The school has three Houses- House Kelpie, House Leprechaun, and House Roc.  Unlike other house system such as the Hogwarts Houses, Petrichor's houses do not determine dorm arrangements, sports teams, or tight social structures, and the Houses do not compete exept during the school's annual Midsummer Festival games.  Instead, these Houses represent their students' unique pursuit of knowledge and exploration, and the path they will take after graduation.  Each House has a designated faculty leader, one or two specialized classes, and at the end of the year partakes a Crusade- a House-wide quest that may be something such as finding an ancient relic or solving a mystery plauging the land.

House Kelpie represents those who seek mystery and discovery, House Leprechaun represents those who seek innovation and imagination, and House Roc represents those who seek glory and adventure.

This is the first RP I've ever made, so I'm excited!  Feel free to help shape the world of Petrichor Academy and let me know if you have any questions!  Here's the form for students-

Here's the form for teachers, if someone wants to be a teacher or just come up with some teachers we can use-

Excuse me, but what order are the classes in, and also how long are they? Are meals held in Aspen Hall?

Yes, Aspen Hall is the central gathering place and the dining hall.  Classes are probably around an hour long, but there isn't really a schedule.  I can make one if you'd like it though!

Two students cross the threshold of my classroom. The first has dark hair and green eyes, and the second has white and purple hair and sparkly eyes. Aisling and Realta, I believe. I'm head of their house, so I'll probably see them often.

"Hello, I'm Per Dresden (note, Pr. often stands for professor, but for Dresden it stands for Per, as in a gender-neutral title). We'll wait a few more minutes for any other students, and then I'll begin class."

Aisling? asks, "Does it matter where I sit?"

"No, but you'll sit in the same one for the year," I say, "so choose carefully." I chuckle.

Here's a map of the classroom! The long rectangle is the ingredients counter, the circles are cauldrons, the squares are student desks, and the shorter rectangle is Dresden's desk.

A girl clad in green strolls through the door. Darkvine, I believe. "Let's see. I think there are only one or two students not here." I glance at the clock again. "I'll get started."

I begin by introducing myself. ["Please call me Per Dresden."] I sign and say at the same time. ["I'm Deaf. I can read lips but you'll have to face me. Sign language is also acceptable."]

["Please take a seat."]

(Note: the six squares are the desks. Please explain the placement as left-center-right and upper-lower. E.g. 'center upper')

Realta turns her head and stares at me for... an... uncomfortably long time.  i start to sweat nervously, but finally she turns her sea-blue gaze away from me and sits down in the left upper seat and pulls out a notebook.  I wait for a second, and absentmindedly stare at her, but she doesn't look my way again.  I take the seat nearest to me, the right lower one, and wait, staring off into space.  Potions was the class i was most excited for.  i couldn't wait to learn.

(lol sorry for the capitalization i'm on my phone and don't feel like doing that without autocorrect)

After a long alchemy lesson full of controlling myself, I head off to Aspen Hall to see if there is any lunch. Of course, I haven't had any breakfast, so the pots of spaghetti sitting on a table are very welcome. However, there are no chairs. I serve myself and take my bowl and one of the provided forks to the floor, where the entire student body is sitting. Everyone else is chatting wildly. Of course, they've already made their friends, those friends being their roommates. However, another student turns to me.

"Hi there, I haven't seen you yet," they say. "Late to lunch or something?"

"I guess," I answer awkwardly, trying to eat spaghetti at the same time. "Who are you and why don't they have any chairs?" They look older than I am.

"Drius," said the person. "And you know, they haven't had chairs this morning either. But they had them dependably all last year."

"Strange," I tell them. "Well, pleasure to meet you, I'm Dorrie."

I smile. The only thing I love more than being energetic and making lists is solving mysteries. I open my notebook and write down No chairs in Aspen Hall to eat lunch had them all last year.

"What classes do you take?" Drius says.

"Alchemy, rune-magic, casting-magic, math, literature, history, and one more, I've forgotten--oh, it's healing."

"Nice. I do a lot of the same ones," says Drius. Then the bell rings.

"I have to skedaddle," I tell Drius. "Nice meeting you then." And then I am skedaddling, heading to classs once more.

Is there only one teacher who is being played by one person?
Shannon walked into Aspen Hall. Rows of pots were laid out on the tables. Except, there were no chairs. Shannon was far too hungry to really care about that, though. She walked over to the table and heaped a huge amount of spaghetti onto it.
Shannon glanced over at Aspen tree and bit her lip. She wanted to slip into its branches to eat, but if she did that she'd end up staying there three hours straight like she did earlier. So instead she went over to where everyone else was sitting and sat with her back against the wall.
"Can I sit here?" Shannon looked up in surprise. It was the young man from earlier.
"S-sure," Shannon stammered. He slid onto the floor next to her and began wolfiing down his noodles. Shannon felt strange sitting next to a teacher.
When he had finished he set down his bowl down on the floor and sighed with satisfaction. "So," he said, turning to Shannon, "how olf are you?"
"Thirteen," Shannon told him.
"What classes are you taking?"
Shannon tried desperately to remember. "Um, well, one of them is healing..." She felt her cheeks burn. "I have math and history to, I think," she hurried to add.
"Well, if you're in healing, then you're in my class!" said the teacher with a smile. Shannon smiled too. She was glad she was in this man's class. He was nice. He wasn't glaring at her for what she'd done earlier, like that other one, Morgan, probably would be.
"Well, I'd better go," he said, looking down at his watch as he stood up.
"Wait!" Shannon said. "Uh, what's your name?"
"James," he said with a pleasant smile. He waved and jogged off before Shannon could ask what his actual proffesor name was. Surely he wasn't going to have the class call him James! Was he?
Shannon finished the rest of her spaghetti in silence. As she stood, a bell rang. Probably a signal for me to get to class, Shannon thought. She looked back at the Aspen with longing. Maybe she could just... slip away. Suddenly, Shannon ran smack dab into someone. She stumbled backwards, flailing to keep her balance, but it didn't work. She toppled to the ground, hitting her elbows hard. The air flew out of her. "What are you doing?!?!?" The person who Shannon had crashed into glared down at her. She had long brown hair and bright green eyes. "Well???" she snapped.
Is there a certain time schedule for classes? If there is and healing isn't next, please tell me the right one, if you know!

oh, that's me!

"uh..." the person stammers.

"Well?" i say again. "watch where you're going!" i hiss.

her eyes dart around, looking for an escape path. i sense something, and push it away hurreidly. not the time.

i offer her my hand and help her up. "trying to slip away, right?" i say. she looks startled and scared. "h-how do you know that?" she asks fearfully.

that, i thought, was a good question. "you weren't with anyone, and you looked like you were trying to be sneaky." i said. "i know you like the Aspen."

"again, how do you know that?" she asked.

instead of answering, i said, "what's your name? don't worry, i won't tell anyone about any of this."

"Shannon." she said.

i nodded. "i'm Darkvine." i answered.

sorry if it is a little short... again

Pretty sure I'm the only teacher, except I think the creator of the role-play is going to do some classes?

Shannon looked uncertainly at Darkvine. Now that she wasn't angry, she seemed ok. Shannon felt a tiny pinprick of hope. Could she possibly make a friend? "What class are you in next?" Shannon asked eagerly.

I considered breaking into a run, but there were too many people around. Two of them, I saw, had already bumped into each other, and I didn't want to be next. My stomach complained at the spaghetti, and I gloomily remembered my mother's fettucine alfredo. It always, always filled me up and she sometimes added meatballs and tomato. Her cooking was one of the things I missed most. I was trying to think about what caused the nightmare last night when I bumped into someone. Perfect. She had strawberry-blond hair and bright gold eyes. She was wearing socks with sandals, jeans, and a soft-looking sweater. I said hi, then apologized. I couldn't be late to math. I then recognized the girl as the one who sat next to me in math.

Flamrestii, that's you!
