Chatterbox: Inkwell

My wings were strong and powerful. I could feel them straining to lift me straight into the air so I could do my loop-de-loop and twirl my body to the beat of the music. The loop-de-loop was the easy part. All I had to do was somehow manage to twirl my body perfectly.

My wings and body twisted around and I had successfully completed the first part of my routine for the annual Thunderbird Festival. All that was left was the dive.

The wind whistled through my wings as I dove straight toward the ground. I was picking up speed rapidly. I have to pull up at just the right time, or else my wings will either tear off my back or get smashed into the ground. Luckily, I had memorized the perfect time to pull up.

And... now! I thought. My wings flared out and I swooped just above the ground. Perfect. My routine for the Thunderbird Festival was complete.

Excellent job, Jaybells!

(The reason it wasn't very long--I became bored. Which was also the reason I created it in the first place!)

I will write a poem for you, and I'll post it on the 'Regular Poetry Thread.'
