they looked out

Chatterbox: Inkwell

they looked out

they looked out onto the city. so many artists and kindred spirits and readers and aes and writers and charmers and lovers. so much... imagination. thats all chatterbox really was wasn't it? a bunch of kids imagining, dreaming, creating worlds for themselves. an illusion, a mirage. "so why does it feel like more?" they said aloud. they sighed. it wouldn't be to long now, till they left fairyland.

this wasn't what they came here to do. they had more important things beckoning, but did they beckon stronger than the cheerful glow of the personified city? that was the question.

the darkness feels so comforting at night. why doesn't it now?

Not sure exactly how to respond, but this is quite moving. :)
