I'm obsessed! This roleplay will start tomorrow by the way. And I'll pause it soon enough for the holidays and all, because some people (including me) will be going on break. Thanks for submitting a charrie, and I'm sorry I missed your post for so long!

~Evie~

I slouched back onto the velvety carriage bench, a few tears slipping free. I couldn't quite believe I was heading straight for Wyvern Academy--though I could believe Mother and Father had decided to send me there.

The driver poked his head through the curtains separating us. "Miss Evie?" he asked in an edgy tone. I inclined my head.

"Yes?"

"We're here." the driver-Howard-replied. "Sir Cosima is waiting for you." I sat up, stretching. My spine popped. As I opened the door and stepped out gingerly, I noticed there was indeed someone waiting. He held out a hand.

"Welcome" was all he said. I frowned and chose not to shake his hand. A bold move, I realized, but it was too late now. I removed my duffel from the carriage and slammed the door.

"Who are you?" I demanded. I knew, of course, but it didn't hurt to seem ignorant. His mouth twitched.

"Sir Graeme Cosima." he responded, fidgeting with his navy jacket. "You may have heard of me?" I shake my head.

"No. I haven't, actually." I say impertinently. I know I shouldn't, but I can't resist. He rolls his eyes.

"Look, I kind of need to show you to your quarters. I'm supposed to welcome all of the new students and most of them should show up within ten or fifteen minutes." Graeme said shortly. He gestured toward the looming bronze gates, and began to swing them open.

We walked down the ornate hall to a lavish bedroom. A canopied bed sat in the corner, and I set my bag beside it.

"Well, I must go." he said as I spun around, attempting to soak the luxury in. "Your guide will be here soon." Graeme spun on his heel and left me in the room.

That's all! I'll post a little later. Someone else on Cricket asked if she could join so she'll be the last person to join-feel free to post your own POV today too! I'd appreciate it!

I had packed every single pillow I possibly could into my suitcases. I had also made sure that none of my clothes would be wrinkled since I hated that.

After I finished packing, my mother drove me all the way to the school. How long was the drive? I don't know since I slept through it all. When I arrived, I was amazed. It looked so perfect! But then I remebered that I didn't know anyone here and I felt a little sad. I immeditated wrote a letter to my best friend.

~Evie~

"We will begin with the art of poison." my Murder by Venom teacher says firmly. Tall, willowy, and stunningly gorgeous, Ms. Caedy manages to pull off practically any clothing. Today, she's wearing a crisp beige peasant blouse along with dark cotton leggings.

"You will each be assigned a partner for the rest of this class." she enunciates. "Together, you will practice poisoning mice. Tomorrow, we shall move along to a bigger creature, a cat. By the end of this class, you will be skilled in poisoning animals and humans." The class gasps. I keep my expression neutral, though inside I'm quivering. Humans?

Ms. Caedy begins to pair students together. I cross my fingers I'll be with a decent human.

"Evie and Subira..?" She glances around the room to find the other girl. Her gaze lands on a tall girl with purple hair and round glasses. Gesturing for her to move across the room, Ms. Caedy says,

"You, Subira, I have my eye on. Half-angel, eh? Don't try anything." My eyes widen. Half..angel? Is there really such a thing? Before I can think any longer about it, Subira's by my side. I try not to flinch.

"Well?" Ms. Caedy asks. "Get to work! The correct poison should be strychnine." We turn to each other and shrug.

My teacher assesses our work. The mouse has successfully died, though it took much too long to find 'strychnine'. She nods in satisfaction, opening the little mouse's jaws. Ms. Caedy examines them, nodding again when she sees the after effects of the poison.

"Good job, girls." she says. However, it seems the rest of the class wasn't so lucky.

"You used ARSENIC?!" I can hear her scream at a pair of teens set up in the corner. Their eyes are wide and frightened.

Subira and I exchange a worried glance. Could this be us someday?

Sorry it's so intense lol. The academy is supposed to be brutal but I kinda went overboard

I've edited your post, as the content was too violent and mature for the Chatterbox. If you would like to resubmit, with different revisions, you may. - Admin

basically this post makes zero sense anymore. so. yeah. im not going to resubmit but i still don't feel like ALL the writing should've been deleted, you know? it also took a really long time to write so i don't appreciate you not letting me at least know before you deleted it.

I'll get over it but I'm just a bit annoyed. Sorry if I was rude I'm just...frustrated.

I understand the frustration, Morticia, but our rules (http://www.cricketmagkids.com/chatterbox/rules) say no explicit violence and your post unfortunately went over the edge from cartoony ski-lodge-style shenanigans to actually depicting violence. Something to keep in mind for the future. --admin

I had finished my classes for the day and set up in my room. I decided to go ask around for any pillows I could have. I got a few and added them to my pile. Then I read some books. Eventually I fell asleep.

~Evie~

I yawn and rub my eyes, sitting up in bed. My momentary tranquility is broken by a figure looming over me. I scream and instinctively reach for my dagger.

"There's no need to shout, dahling." she says, syrupy sweet. I cut my eyes at her, frustrated.

"What are you doing?" I enunciate, stifling my anger. It's only then, when my bleary eyes focus, that I realize it's Mentor Laila, my Herbery teacher. "I mean-erm-Mentor Laila, I.."

"No need to explain yourself." she replies coldly. "You have a one-on-one session with your partner, Subira. Did you forget?" Oh no.

"Erm..no. Sorry, Mentor Laila. I'm simply tired. Give me a moment to dress myself, and I will be ready." I respond as formally as possible.

She leads me down a hallway lined with gilded portraits of men and women that seem rather important. With each step I take, my heart feels even heavier. It's not that I dread the school days-they're interesting and with each class, I learn even more-it's the worry of when I will have to kill my first victim. The anticipation, I fear, will be the least of my worries.

Mentor Laila opens a door and leads me in. "Here we are. Subira will arrive shortly." she says stiffly. I nod and take a seat on one of the rich plum velvet chairs. One perk of Wyvern Academy-its furnishings are extravagant.

Minutes later, the purple-haired girl enters. She in turn takes a seat on the chair beside me, fidgeting with her tunic. Mentor Laila smiles a fake, honey-like grin at the two of us.

"Why don't you two get to know each other? I'll leave you for a few minutes." I take the short time alone as a guilty pleasure, knowing that it won't last for long. I turn awkwardly to Subira, cheeks flushed.

"Where are you from?" I ask, attempting to begin some sort of conversation, uncomfortable as it is.

"London...well, in the forest, mostly." Subira tells me. "I'm an orphan. Wyvern recruiting agents found me and knew I had no parents to pay, which meant I was an easy target." Her eyes well up at the memory.

"I see." Thorny silence replaces our words. Hastily, I make an effort to ask another question.

"I have a family, but they care only about money and my younger brother. Never about me." I inform her. She gives a tiny nod, swiping at her tear-stained face.

"How old are you?" I say.

"Sixteen."

"I'm seventeen." I reply, smiling tentatively. The door bangs open, and Mentor Laila enters.

"Hope you two..bonded!" she says, a wolfish grin spreading across her face. "Now it's time for my favorite part-the murder of your first victim. Together, you should have no problem with it." My stomach turns, and I recoil into my chair. Beside me, Subira's face is a chalky white, and she looks like she might throw up.

"I'll leave you to it. You have twenty-five minutes." Mentor Laila leaves the room, slamming the door behind her.

That's all! Admin, is this okay? I won't write anything about the actually murder of the person, given your response to my previous scene. Hopefully it is. This time, do you mind giving me a few hours notice if you have to delete anything? Thank you.

Pancake, if you'd like to have anything changed, just tell me and I'll have Admin change it.

That's okay! Don't worry about it, just take your time. I'm mostly the only person making real posts-everyone else just posts 2 or 3 sentences, which is fine, just.. I need more content. And a lot of people who joined never posted either so I'm glad to hear you want to. Thanks!

Honestly, just mess around with what you want to write on here. I won't judge. I just write long posts because it's more my style.

~Evie~

I stare at the ceiling, stomach roiling. I just murdered someone. That..makes me sick. I already vomited twice, much to the frustration of my room monitor. Subira looked like she might die too if she helped me, so I did it myself. Mentor Laila looked sickeningly pleased with "our" work.

It's three in the morning, and though my wake-up call is five, I  still have a couple of hours. Unfortunately for me, I can't sleep. Mother used to call me Bullfrog because I hardly slept. According to her, bullfrogs don't need sleep, hence the nickname. But that was years ago, when Father didn't use his whip and Mother thought me an angel. Things have changed, clearly.

I rest my head back on my pillow, enjoying the luxury while it lasts. I doubt they'll keep me in this suite for long. After all, I hardly plan to obedient for much more than a few weeks.

Brushing the hair out of my eyes, I get out of bed and take a look in the closet. A sign stuck to it reads, Do NOT Open. This closet contains secret materials. I scoff. Like they're going to know if I open it. To my dismay, an alarm goes off and footsteps pound down the hallway. Quickly, I return to my bed and close my eyes. The door swings open and a heavyset man with blue eyes shouts,

"Hart, out of bed! Now! You have violated the code of Wyvern." I keep my eyes closed and my breathing even. How would he know?

Muscled arms shake me and I blink open my eyes. "W-what's going on?" I lie, rubbing my eyes for effect.

"You know what's going on, little girl! You opened that closet!" he says. I peer at the closet, and sure enough, I left it open. Great.

"Erm...I was simply looking for an outfit for today." I fib. His mouth forms a hard line.

"Right. And I'm the king." is his snarky reply. "You're coming with me, Hart. You'd better hope you've got a better story than this one, because the headmistress won't be pleased." My heart lurches. Whatever that means, I don't want to know.

Welp. If y'all don't want to post, just tell me. It's a useless roleplay if no one except me posts, so I'd like to know if you guys want to drop out.
