Anyone want to write an RP on dragons?

I believe, Endey, that we are speaking english (right?) but I just gave the runners a fancy Latin name because I like the way Latin sounds. :)

P.S: I love this rp so so much!!!!!!!!!! XD

Kerra--

Sunflame flies slowly and silently over the forest, and we follow the trail of runner footprints that I hope will lead us to the dragon catcher. The footprints lead into a thick part of the woods, where the trees are too thick for me to see where the tracks continue. Then I spot a small bit of smoke rising up out of the trees, and getting Sunflame's attention, I point toward it. She nods and turns so we are flying directly toward the smoke. She flies lower and lower as we go, getting so close to the tops of the trees that if I wanted to I could reach down and touch them.

As we approach the smoke, I give the signal to Sunflame (by pressing gently on on side of her neck) and she flips over so that she is flying upside-down. I hold on tight to her lower neck with my legs and let my arms dangle below me, waiting for the right moment to let go. Now! I let go right as we pass above the smoke. I flip over so that I'm right-side up again, and as I fall I grab the nearest tree branch with one hand so that I'm swinging above the source of the smoke, which as I suspected is a runner fire-breath. The runner is harnessed like a horse, and I can see that its footprints go back the way that me and Sunflame had come. Nearby was a man sitting against the trunk of a tree and staring at me.

"I freed your catch, but you're smarter than most catchers, to use a runner to catch another runner," I said casually, as way of breaking the silence.

"Thank you." He also spoke nonchalantly, as if having a conversation with a stranger that had seemingly just fallen out of the sky and was now swinging from a tree was completely normal for him.

"How'd you catch the first one?" I asked, pointing toward the harnessed runner.

"You mean Natt? He was a gift from my uncle who was a breeder. He sold them as pets." The man sounded like he hadn't particularly liked his uncle's line of work. He picked up a branch and drew his knife, proceeding to sharpen the twig.

As he turned his head away from me to draw his knife, however, I noticed something odd about the man. He only had one ear. Where the other ear should have been was a gaping hole in the side of his head. It was very disgusting, but it also reminded me of a story my father had once told me.

"Rilleyo," I muttered.

"What?" He looked up from the now half sharpened twig.

"Your name is Con Rilleyo," I announced. He put down the twig and sheathed his dagger.

"Have we met before, girl?" he asked suspiciously.

"No, but you knew my father; Waltin Frinche," I said.

"Waltin Frinche? Now there's a name I haven't heard in a long time! He was in my troop of dragon riders!"

"Yes. He told me about you, how a dragon attacked you and took...." My voice trailed off as I gestured to where his ear should have been.

"Yeah, Waltin and another man, Crultoll, they dragged me away before it could do anything worse," he said. I nodded, my father had told me about Rilleyo a few times when I was younger.

A screech from above reminded me that Sunflame was still waiting for me.

"Good bye, sir," I said, hoisting myself up into the trees. I had just decided that I liked Rilleyo when a strong arm wrapped around my waist and pulled me back down onto the ground.

"Now, young miss," Rilleyo said in a cold, frightening voice, "you may be Waltin's daughter, but that don't excuse you from following me and freeing my best catch of the month." As I opened my mouth to respond, (or maybe just to scream) Rilleyo took a damp rag out of the satchel that hung by his side and held it over my nose and mouth. The smell of it was very bitter, and as everything started to go fuzzy in my vision, I recognized it as Zorweed, a very effective herb that if it's flowers' pollen was mixed with water, the mixture could cause whoever inhaled it to go unconscious for many hours. I cursed loudly, and the last sound I heard before I spiraled into a deep sleep was Rilleyo's cruel laughter.

In that moment, I changed my mind. I did not like this man.

THE END!!!!

Hope you like it! :D

i hadn't thought about it but someone can save me if you want to and if that works with your plans! ;)

If no one minds, can I save you or just follow your acquaintance Rilleyo (I hope that's his name). We do need to meet sooner or later.

Kk. I'll just post then.

"We have to somehow stop him, Ferr. He's more of a danger than brainless knights. Or she, for that matter."

Ferr nods in agreement, and we take off. Suddenly, we see something below. A flash of gold-- a dragon!!! Odd... gloden dragons aren't native to these parts of the forest.

"Ferr," I whisper. "Go down. Something is wrong."

"How many more times will we have to get sidetracked???" he asks angrily.

"I'm sorry, Ferr," I say. "But it's a dragon. A GoldenScale."

"A GoldenScale?" Ferr asks in amasement. "Well, then... let's see what he wants."

"It's a female." I say, grinning. "Ferr has a weakness for GoldenScales.

I'll continue it later!!!!! I have to go.

"Hello," I say to the female GoldenScale in Draconian, making sure to make eye contact. "I am Siara, though I go by Draco. This is Ferr, my very good friend. We greet you and wish you luck, whatever you're doing. May I have the permission to ask you what brought you here? Please do not be offended, and do not answer my question if you don't wish to." Not all dragons require such formalities, but it's best to be on the safe side.

"I am Sunflame. My rider and I were passing by, when she decided to find something out. She is probably in there." Sunflame gestured toward a place where trees grew very close together, making it impossible for it to go through, even as a human. "She hasn't come back."

"I shall find your rider," I say. "Or try to, at least."

"And I'll stay with you," Ferr says. "And I know that you can take care of yourself. I just want company. Be careful, Draco."

I shrug, then cut take off my cloak and bag, and climb a tree. Then, I climb a tree, and land on the other side of the brambles.

Tracks are on the ground--runner tracks. I follow them, and eventually find the tracks of human boots in a clearing. Two humans have been there--one probably not much older than me. After that, the bigger tracks continued, and the other tracks had dissapeared, except for two tracks, running across the ground as if someone was being dragged.

It seems like Sunflame's rider had been in some sort of struggle. But where was she now?  Only one way to find out, I finally decide.

I follow the tracks.

THE END!

That was good!!!

You guys see that shirt that the boy is wearing on the cover of the September Cricket? That's the shirt that I saw Endey wearing, except maybe a little darker.

Also where are Alexandra and Annie? Did they say that they were leaving for a month. Or was that somebody else? I'm on so many threads right now.

Endeyrory Pracea, Dragon Slayer

I urged my horse faster. And faster. There was a large....hump coming out of the forest on the side of the road. I reined in sharply, and dove to the side of the road, where I could see the hump, but the hump couldn't see me. I hoped.

A man stepped out first. Leading a horse. I knew him by name and race. Rilleyo, Dragon Catcher. We've worked together in the past. On the horse was an unconciouss girl, about my age, or so. Should I stop and help? Or just ride on?

My sixth sense tingled. There were two dragons, very close. Neither of them were Rilleyo's tame Runner. Shoot.

I leapt onto my horse and rode right past Rilleyo.

Sorry! School started for us and we haven't had the chance to post in a while. I'll try to write something really soon!

Okay, here's my post! Sorry if it's short, I wanted to get something in before starting my homework. I have to write an essay on the history of dragon catching. ;)

Elyana-

Xell jerks up sharply as we come to the edge of the forest.
"What was that for?" I yell, clutching one of his spikes tightly. In reply, he only roars and motions with his tail. I look down from our spot in the air and gasp. Hundreds of knights, glittering in silver mail, are streaming into the forest like molten metal. We dive down fast, tree branches crashing into my face, and land in front of a group of about ten. They stop suddenly in surprise.
"What are you doing?" I demand. One of them laughs.
"Out of the way, little missy. It's not safe for young ladies like yourself to be flying around on dragons in these parts. You could get hurt." Hurt! I growl, sounding almost exactly the same as my dragon.
"I asked you a question, now answer me. Why are all of these knights in the forest?"
"Well, what do you think?" asks one of them with a smirk. "Do you ever read? We're knights. We're doing what knights do." My face pales, and I know what he's going to say before the words are out of his mouth.
"We're here to kill the dragons."
"But- but how could you...?" I sputter. Killing all the dragons? That's not even possible! Knights never think anything through, let alone use logic. They just rush in screaming with a sword in their hand. Still, with that many, the dragons are clearly in danger. "You can't do this!"
"Of course we can! You'd best be on your way now, before someone mistakes your little pet there for a wild one and sticks it with a sword." Xell snaps at them, sending the group scuttling backwards.
"Calm down," I say, and turn to the knights. "Xell is not a pet, and he is not an 'it'. I hope you know that dragons have feelings too," I say with steel in my voice. "You will never succeed with this." But there are too many knights for us. We can't stop them now. I jump back on Xell, and with a small tug, we rise into the air. "I wouldn't be surprised if most of them were smarter than all of you!" I yell over my shoulder, before they're nothing but tiny silver specks in a big green world.

I wish I had a dragon, I think to my self. If only my cousin
were here. She'd know what to do. I sigh as I walk by a cave. I hear a
sudden wimper of pain coming from inside. I enter the cave and see a
dragon. She is obviosly in pain. I come further into the cave, the
dragon sensing me and tensing up. I wisper soothing words in
Dragonion.

"It's ok. Don't worry. I'm here to help." She seamed to relax. I reach out and feel her stomach.

"Please help me. I..can't lay my egg..." She trails off. I help out, and she sucssesfully layes her egg.

This morning, I see has regained her strength. I am about to leave, but she calls me over.

"Thank you for helping me. If it wasn't for you,
I wouldn't be here."

"You're welcome. I just hate seeing any living thing in pain," I reply in Dragonion. I start too turn, but as I do, she picks up her egg.

"I would like you to have my egg as a token of my thanks."

I stare open
mouthed.

"But, don't you wan't to keep
it?"

"I would rather you have it."

I take the egg.
"Thank you so much! I will see you again some day!" I gather my stuff
and leave the cave.
