*A Travel Guide to Northwest Kyngdom That is Totally Not Top Secret and Has Nothing to Do with Anything Important

So you want to take a trip to Northwest Kyngdom? Wonderful! Pack your bags, grow an extra layer of fur, and hop onto the Badger Express, the high-speed badger-drawn train that will carry you northward.

Travel tip: The Badger Express has a wonderful dining car that serves a creamy, piping-hot soup called Pinesüppe: root vegetables simmered for hours with pine needles and topped off with a rich drizzle of sap.

Once you disembark, take a moment to notice how your breath turns into an intricately-patterned fog in the air. There is a magic to northwest Kyngdom that no one can explain--almost everything here, no matter how dangerous, is aesthetically pleasing. Gaze at the fields of soft, untouched snow, the evergreens glimmering with icicles so elaborate that you would have sworn they were carved by artists, and the aurora borealis that dance through the sky like omens of a better life. This is the home of Regina, the Silver Reindeer, who is…just your average reindeer!

Travel tip: Pack light but warm! Bring lots of high-protein snacks--we recommend grubs! Regina is the guardian of Hoof!

Though Regina looks so noble so as to be unapproachable, she is actually very friendly, and loves showing newcomers around her land. She lives in a mansion (nobody said reindeer weren’t materialistic!) that she named Jökull, the Old Norse word for ice. It is a place of good cheer, where the super-sweet juice of the local Winter Black Cherry flows year-round (delicious over ice or warmed up!). Zephyra loves to spend her holidays here.

Travel tip: Examine Regina closely when she walks. Three of her feet are shod in beautiful mother-of-pearl horseshoes that glimmer when she walks, but the fourth bears only a rusty horseshoe. Look closely at that horseshoe. I think you know what it is. Don’t you?

Regina will warn you about the forest of blue juniper trees that look so appealing and smell like Christmas on a platter. This is the Decoy Forest, and its pull is strong. When you walk through it--which you should never do--you will see what you want to see. Lost loves will cry out to you from the trees. Your mother, as a teenager, may appear, begging you to be her friend. Ignore them all. Have another mug of Winter Black Cherry cider. Enjoy your stay.

Travel tip: The pull of the Decoy Forest? B.I.G. feels it, too. When Cornelia Hornshaw stares into the Forest, she sees an image of the Fourth Power. But she still doesn’t know where it’s located. She’s heading there now, though. Will anybody stop her?

I awake to a strange girl's voice, as well as an overwhelming, if short, burst of cold. I hadn't known I was asleep until I woke up, in a chair beside the fire. Ronan, Shadow, and Brynn were still on vots by the fire. A girl was sitting on a small couch reading book, and a few people (including a girl who looked like she had just fallen off a cliff) were coming in through the door. So that was the burst of cold. But the voice, oh yes, then I notice a girl, Hazel was it? Hazel. Asking about a deer that had gone into the woods. A team member of hers. "I was asleep," I say shepsihly. "That's okay." She says. "Her name is Rain. If you see any sign of her, contact me immediately." Then it hits me. Rain. "Rain?" I say. "We're friends! I didn't realize-" I trail off. "I'll help you look." Then I jump up from my chair and head to the door with Hazel. But behind the girl (Sprocket, you're a girl, right?) and her companions is a wolf. A white wolf. "Moonshadow?"

"Anwen?"

Before I know what just happened, I grab Moonshadow around the neck and squeeze. He splutters and coughs. I release. "Oh, sorry, I, uh,-" I trail off, cheeks burning. I really need to work on my hugs. "Where have you been? I haven't seen you since the underwater ball!" He cries, and licks my face. "I know! I was afraid you'd-" I interrupt myself. "Moonshadow, listen, Rain's missing. She was here with a group, and, I'm afraid," I cut myself off, afraid if I keep going I'll burst into tears.  He nods, seeming to understand. "Let's go." He says something to Trillian (Sidenote of the Author: Trillian, are you the same person as Trill W.?) and then bounds out the door toward the forest.

Sorry if I controlled anyone!

"Ah yes," I say, holding back a laugh, "The shower's that way."

Trillian leaves, and once she's out of earshot me and the others burst into laughter. She did look pretty ridiculous, although I doubt I would look any better after going through what she just went through. It seems our allies have arrived, and I hope to soon meet and discuss strategy with them.

I emerge from my room later that day. Shadow is deep in a conversation with someone who wants to join up with the resistance, and a newly cleaned up Sprocket is building something (as usual) with random machine parts. A girl from the Resistance is tacking a copy of the Declaration of Liberation of Kyngdom on the wall.

Seeing nowhere to go, I just awkwardly hover in the doorway. (Figure of speech, I haven't had my wings in a while)

Then, with a dazzle of mother of pearl, a reindeer enters.

She's clad in mother of pearl hooves--one is quite rusty--and strands of pearl are wound around her antlers in a queenly fashion.

She walks properly to the counter. I catch one word--Regina--and find myself stepping up to her.

"Ma'am, are you the guardian?"

@Admins--

I only intend to gather information from Regina. I hope I'm not too controlling...

This felt good. I was clean. Hurting still, but clean.

The small hummingbird I was making whirred. I had installed the wings, but I was still working on the torso and head.

"I need people to go on an offenzive mission..." I hear Elliot mumble.

Getting up with difficulty (my back still hurt), I walk over to him.

"What is all of our plans? Do we have any priorities?"

 Rae, where exactly are you?

"And that means you have the right to vote here- wait, what's everybody looking at?" I turn from my conversation to look at what everyone else is staring at, and-

Oh my Claaws.

It's Regina.

Like, for real.

From the mother of pearl hooves to the beautiful antlers, I'm standing in front of the co-guardian of the Power of Hoof.

After I change back to myself and Shadow explains that I can join the Resistance, most of us head to the library to discuss an offensive attack.

"Thank you all for coming," Elliot says. "We have much to discuss, so I hope you are all here."

There are some nods and mutters, and Elliot begins. "We're going to try the Maoist Model tactic. It's definently an older one that they used a long while ago. Are any of you familiar with it?"

Nobody says anything.

I clear my throat and nod. "Used during the Eastern war a couple thousand years ago."

He nods. "You're new, right?"

"Yeah, our newer recruit," Shadow responds.

He nods again and continues discussing the tactic. "It starts with propoganda. We convince the people that something isn't right and they need to side with us and support us. Then, we start gathering supplies and going against small governments and places. We then build our way up and overthrow the centre of the government."

He goes more into depth about everything, but once he's done explaining, there's a small silence.

Until one person raises their hand and poses a question. "So where exactly are we going to get all of our troops?"
