MYTHS AND LEGENDS

MYTHS AND LEGENDS

This Book of Myths and Legends is intended to inform, illuminate, educate, and elucidate. But the trepidatious Reader must proceed with caution. Once the Reader has filled their mind with thoughts of Beasts, the Reader can no longer un-know them. Sometimes, the only safeguard against the shuddersome creatures that stalk this Globe is to utterly deny their existence.

I think I am one of these beings, called shape shifters.  Shape shifters can transform into any living creature at will. In normal form, they look like humans. Signs of a shape shifter are   1. An animal like  birthmark, 2. Unusually animal like grace 3.a wild look in there eyes.

How did you know so much about us? i thought that we were supposed to be kept secret. How can we trust one another if you keep revealing us?

Drago, you know yourself well. Shape shifters are like elves to some degree. A wild look in an elves eyes means that the elf is either angry (I am patient, don`t worry), upset, or mad( it takes almost forever for an elf to go mad. Normally the cause of the maddness it darkness or being imprisiond away from trees). Unusually animal like grace is the most uncommon in shape shifters, probably because it is most common in elves. Elves normally like to be signifigant in some sense and do not want their signifigantness to be used by others. I am not of the opinion that only elves can have animal like grace, and I think that the more gracefull souls we have the better.

I believe I have encountered such a creature. I went to sleep one night with a strange feeling in my head and hands. My hands shook like I was terrified, but I felt at peace. My head spun, but I was hydrated and healthy. Just before I fell asleep, stars shone before my eyes, and not like I just hit my head. It was like galaxies had been laid ahead of me, like I was floating in outer space. It lasted for about thirty or so seconds before I collapsed into dreamland. I saw a light ahead of me in a dark place. I know it sounds stupid, but it shone every color and with no color at all simultaneously. I could never take myeyes from it, but using my peripheral vision I spotted several of my past nightmares floating towards the glowing sphere. I felt like my fears were being sucked away. I reached out to hold this beautiful light but my arm retracted as if I had cradled a flame. Pain shot through me and soon I bolted straight up in my bed. I checked the hand that was burnt and was surprised to find it carried a blister. It was not huge, but big enough to notice if you looked for it. So far I have read every myth at my local library-- do you guys know about these 'dream dancers'?

As a tiger living in forbidden parts of Kyngdom, no one has gotten up close studying like I have. Hunting is considered a victory for carnivores, the competition is rather insane due to low population. While I was hunting, I was lucky enough to come across one of the larger wild dogs. As I prepared to strike, the wild dog began to stir. As he did this, I noticed that he had small gills on his face, and some 'flippers' on his arms. This was no normal dog, this was a nyquic. Nyquics, I soon found, we're a very rare breed. Manny captured and killed by B.I.G. I was surprised to find this one, because it was a silvergill, the leader of a pack. It appeared he was hunting too, because he lunged for me, but sadly was denied, and killed. His orgins had not blood, but a seeping silver liquid. Files stolen from my great friend; Gessa the hummingbird, show the following facts:
Animal: Nyquics
Origin: Eastern Kyngdom, migrated to South.
Species: fish
Skill: Delivers a painful cry to make ones ears bleed. Once delivered, it eats the deaf victim.
Weakness: Unknown
The paper was tattered, and I couldn't get all the info, but I hope I helped.

Admin, can you delete that first one? I forgot the picture.

Creature the Third: The Flower-Carrier

The Flower-Carrier, a small, young, mermaid, is the picture of innocence. She lives much upstream of the Lioncrook Falls (http://www.cricketmagkids.com/chatterbox/kyngdom-wing/node/201131) and plays in the horizon.

As her name suggests, she carries a mystical plant in her right hand, a flower with no name. Legend has it that within this flower, the petals contain an amazing power that no one in Kyngdom can even imagine.

The petals glow gold, the same gold color that poor Zephyra spotted before she was captured by the scientists.

Legend also has it that every few centuries (She doesn't age), the Flower-Carrier leaves her home, plucks out one of the petals, which changes into something, and hides it somewhere.
