Chatterbox: KYNGDOM™

*Kyngdom Q+A

*Kyngdom Q+A

Welcome, Chatterboxers, to the new Kyngdom board! You'll notice a few things have changed. We hope these changes will make it easier for both longtime and new users to participate in the story.

First, we've asked Dr. Sheepshank from Cypher Labs to comb through all the threads and put together a summary and history of the Kyngdom story so far. You’ll see that in the "Story So Far." He'll continue adding to it as the story grows.

Second, we've reduced the number of active threads. The only active threads will be the ones you see on the main page. These threads (many of which are inspired by your ideas!) will help us keep the story organized.

Third, to keep the story manageable, you will no longer be able to start your own new threads on the main page. A smaller number of threads will be easier for everyone to digest, and it will be more obvious where the action is happening, and what the action is. You can still create role-play (RP) threads on the Kyngdom RP Board

Don’t worry! Your old threads are not gone. You can still read them in the Kyngdom Archive, but you will no longer be able to comment on them.

We hope you like the changes. If you have any suggestions for new threads, new groups you want to form, or general questions for us, feel free to comment below.

We've had an exciting few months building and growing Kyngdom. We love all the ideas you are bringing to this adventure. Have fun, and happy writing!

Try this app called Notion on your mobile device if you like to compose. It's pretty good!

Dear editors,

I am not pleased with the changes that have taken place in the kingdom. It makes it impossible to tell our own stories and make new friends! Without the ability to write our own stories the kingdom will become bland. I know it may be chaotic but the chaos is part of the fun! Part of the reson me and my friends and I ( in real life and in the kingdom ) play this game is because we can create our own stories and characters and our own mission threads. Making teams to strategise overthrowing BIG is one of my favorite things to do when I get home from school.

Maybe you did this to organise the Kingdom better. If you can make the first page for the main story and information like codes, and letters, but then have the rest for things that other people made. Probably organise the ones other people made from the most visited to least, and probably delete the ones that haven't been visited in, maybe two months?

Can you please take my thoughts into consideration like you do with everything you put in the Archive? Thanks! I'm hoping to see changes soon.

Sincerely- Info Chan

Thank you for your comments, Info Chan. You make some very good points and I'm passing them on to the editors. You are still encourages to participate in Kyngdom, and there are many places and other threads on Chatterbox where you can write creatively with others and make friends.

Thanks for your input, Info chan! This forum--like the whole Kyngdom story--is a work in progress, and we love hearing new ideas from writers like you.

That said, we've been talking about you and Moonshadow, and we'll be creating a thread for your Army of Rebels. It will appear in the Groups section, and you can add your entire story to it. Look out for it very soon.

Psst...see our response to Moonshadow's post later in this thread. It includes a list of links to your stories. You can repost any or all of that text on your new thread, if you like.

Is this just for Moonshadow and Info Chan, or can other people post too?

Oh my gosh, this feels so selfish. I'm sorry for saying this.

But when I went on Kyngdom today I was like "IS THIS SOME KIND OF JOKE!?" And almost cried. I  had an ongoing series that I was writing for Kyngdom about my charecter, people read it and liked it.. It made me feel AWESOME that I had a story that I wrote daily and people read and expected it. So this is the selfish part....And it probably wont happen. Actually, it probably NEVER will happen.

But I used to be a shy writer, never sharing my work. Then I found Kyngdom and I wrote stories for everyone to read about my adventures in Kyngdom! Well, selfish me, I want a thread.... This is embarassing.

I want a thread that I can continue that story that people read on. It's based in Kyngdom so I can't use the Inkwell or anyplace else really and I feel the most comfortable in Kyngdom... But I desperately want a thread of my own that I can post my ongoing adventure stories in the comments. My stories originally made it to the first page (whoops, now I'm boasting) of the chatterbox.

I know it will be easier for people to digest, but what about my, Moonshadow, and Info Chan's stories? (other people included) If we shared a page, then the stories might get jumbled... I loved this because I could become part of the story and show my stories to people... Remember, I used to be a shy writer!

I probably won't get my wish granted (please prove me wrong) but I wanted to let you know... I loved writing my Kyngdom stories!

The stories helped out people with their quests but also were fun to read... Can you give me feedback, because right now I feel confused and sad. I know that the chatterbox was crowded, but I still really wish I could continue writing with other people... and I've never done your live chats before. I joined shortly after the Stone Tree message was discovered... I feel a bit confused, and a lot scared of what might happen to my stories... Can't I comment on stories that are mine in the archives, to continue the story? Like if you could comment only on threads in the archives that were your own? That might help me continue my story without me being selfish and screaming at you guys to get a thread, and that way allot of people could continue theirs and help the Kyngdom community out by using their stories to reveal more about the B.I.G, Zephyra, the guardians of the Powers, and tips!

Hope this wasn't too blabby.

Lots of love,

-Icy

We hear  you, Icy. I'm passing your comments on to the editors.

Hi Admins! I think that this change is a great way to keep everything organized. However, I don't see much for loyal B.I.G. agents to do. It would be fun if we had a thread or group to post on, too. It would be fun to continue creating B.I.G. classes and having complicated friendships with spies and betrayals and explosions and all that fun stuff.

These are good ideas, Seth. We'll consider them!

Hi, Seth! First, thanks for all the creativity you've brought to this story so far. We love the saga you, Trill, and others have been writing.

We're going to add a new thread for B.I.G. employees. It will appear in the Groups section sometime in the next day. Keep an eye out!

Um, Admins, I had an odd encounter with a B.I.G agent yesterday but I can't find anywhere to post it. Can you point me in the right direction?

I suggest the Search Mission thread.

Admin

This sounds like it belongs on the B.I.G. group thread, actually, depending on what the encounter was.

Yah, where are the classes? I REALLY want to take some because I want to join BIG. It sounds fun especially since I absolutely love inventing and well.... Everything that I have heard that BIG is doing.

Meh. I hope someone listens.

Hello, Icy! First of all, we're thrilled to hear that Kyngdom helped you become a more confident writer! That absolutely warms our cold, old Editor hearts Smile.

Second, we're very sorry you were frustrated by this weekend's changes. We understand how they might've bothered you. Unfortunately, we don't have the technical capability to open individual archived threads to individual users (i.e. so you and you alone could post on your own old threads).

But we really believe that you will find a home for your story or stories in the new active threads. And if you don't see a place your character and story might fit into the current active threads, please suggest a new thread here in the Q+A. We want to create a space where your voice can be heard.

ADVICE: When it comes to new threads, we're looking for stories that are related to the Kyngdom plot outlined in "Story So Far" (backstory counts). And please be specific about what your thread will be about, and why other writers might want to join in--don't just say "Can I have a thread for my stories?"

Thank you SO MUCH!

This clears everything up so much easier. I will continue to post my stories in comments everywhere. So y'all BETTER watch out! I am planning on meeting the Gryphon again after Claaws set him free in the mountains... Could I post that one in the Gryphon Encounters?

Thank you again. Also, your hearts aren't cold and old. I personally think that hearts and emotions don't grow old, no matter how old the body may be. I'm not saying you guys are old, and I don't think you guys are that old!

Anyways, thank you again for understanding. Now it's time for me to have a talk with that Eliyana fur *huffs impatiently* Caio!

Admins!!!!!

I don't like the changes to kingdom. Maybe you can have all of the threads for the story on one page and have more pages for other threads that we make. It's important for most of  us that we be heard and it's easier to post our own stories if we have our own place to post them. And I Don't Mean Just Comment On Other People's Threads!!!

Can you fix this problem?
