Chatterbox: KYNGDOM™

*Kyngdom Q+A

*Kyngdom Q+A

Welcome, Chatterboxers, to the new Kyngdom board! You'll notice a few things have changed. We hope these changes will make it easier for both longtime and new users to participate in the story.

First, we've asked Dr. Sheepshank from Cypher Labs to comb through all the threads and put together a summary and history of the Kyngdom story so far. You’ll see that in the "Story So Far." He'll continue adding to it as the story grows.

Second, we've reduced the number of active threads. The only active threads will be the ones you see on the main page. These threads (many of which are inspired by your ideas!) will help us keep the story organized.

Third, to keep the story manageable, you will no longer be able to start your own new threads on the main page. A smaller number of threads will be easier for everyone to digest, and it will be more obvious where the action is happening, and what the action is. You can still create role-play (RP) threads on the Kyngdom RP Board

Don’t worry! Your old threads are not gone. You can still read them in the Kyngdom Archive, but you will no longer be able to comment on them.

We hope you like the changes. If you have any suggestions for new threads, new groups you want to form, or general questions for us, feel free to comment below.

We've had an exciting few months building and growing Kyngdom. We love all the ideas you are bringing to this adventure. Have fun, and happy writing!

See our response above! Sorry it took a few days to get back to you--the Admins are on the Chatterbox all weekend, but the Editors are usually only here Monday through Friday.

I hope, like Icy, that this doesn't sound mean and selfish.

Well, my family and I were on a trip to Gatlinburg and staying in a resort hotel. (I am not trying to brag, just giving the facts.) I woke up in the morning, struggled with the slow internet and finally pulled Kyngdom up on my iPad. But I was devastated with what I saw. My threads were gone. Everyone's threads were gone, replaced by official threads and threads that explained why the other threads were gone. I wanted to scream, I wanted to cry, I wanted to run to my bed and hide under the scratchy sheets, but instead I clicked a thread and read it. What I read stated that Kyngdom was confusing and cluttered and all the stories were jumbled up. It was true, but I love getting home from caring for my chickens that live at my grandparents across the road, and being able to plop down on the couch and write a story. My story. But since I can't start story threads, and I couldn't use something like the shall we start thread, I couldn't write. Not only that, but my friend Info Chan and I had a thread going, and how will we communicate now? What I loved about Kyndom was writing stories. My story, and reading other stories, like Icy's or Info Chan's. It felt good, like Icy said, to write stories that people read. It feels good to know that someone else in Kyngdom knows you! I know how you feel Icy, Info Chan, because I feel the same way. This isn't the Kyngdom I know! Give me back the Kyngdom I love.

I have a suggestion. Give people with stories like me, Icy, and Info Chan and anyone else, their own thread. It could say, for example, Moonshadow's Story, on the thread. And the same for other threads. Give us back the Kyngdom we love. Info Chan and I need a thread too. We can't communicate anymore.

~ Moonshadow

Thank you for your comments, Moonshadow. We'll consider them.

Amen :P       I think that if we could only comment on our OWN posts in the archives our stories could continue, less comments to administrate, less threads, and a generally happy world. Whoops, said this twice. But oh well... I'm proud of the old Kyngdom and I know that the new will be good, just not as good. I'm happy to know that people noticed everyone's stories. I wonder how this will play out? But anyways, thank you for writing this. It summarizes my as well as so many other's stories and our feelings. -Icy

P.S: anyone who wants to hear more of my story can look in the gryphon encounters thread.

Inner Icy: always advertising your stories I see.

Icy: yup. Also a good chance for Admins to check out my PowerFriend thing, and see if it's allowed. *wink wink*

Please say if it's allowed. I would love to be a part of it.

Hello again, Moonshadow! See our responses to your post later in this thread, as well as our response to Info chan above.

Um... How. Is the story going to continue if we can't write anything on our former threads?

Also, who is Admins?

You can comment on the active threads. Admin is short for Administrator. There are two or three of us who take turns reviewing and posting comments on the Chatterbox.

Hey, Wiseowl! If you have an idea for a totally new thread, you can also suggest it here.

Admin, I have two questions.

Question One: When the Power of Wing flute was played, was it any specific tune? If so, can I compose it? I'll take a picture of the sheet music and post it somewhere here.

Question Two: Can you ask the editors to dedicate a whole Cricket issue to Kyngdom, so we can fit everyone's stories about everything that is going on in Kyngdom? With higher levels of spelling and grammar, of course. It's a great way to advertise Kyngdom, and that way, all of us will be published! Please?

I've got a question. Two, actually. Both are for the Admins.

1. Why did you only post comments at night yesterday?

2. Why was the CB so laggy yesterday? Nothing I tried worked- I cleared my browsing data, restarted the computer, tried a different browser.....

It was "laggy" for all of us, too, and our webmaster said it was probably a problem with the service provider. I was actually posting during the day, but it was a very, very slow process so I didn't get much done. Thankfully, today things are back to normal. You must understand, though, that there are times when no one is posting comments, because we all have other things to do, too.
