I played the violin until September... I got so busy I just didn't have time to practice at least 2 hrs a day... but before I stopped..( I did suzuki) I was just learning the unaccompanied Bach gavottes...but I spent soooo long on the Bach double!! I learned it fine... but I could never play it with the other part!!!! I had an amazing teacher though... I'm really sad I had to stop playing..

I LOVE classical music! I grew up listening to it! I'm actually listening to classical radio right now! But there is no way I could tell you some of my favorite composers, because (unlike my brother, and just like my dad) I never remember names! Well, now tha's not quite true, I remember names of people I meet, whereas, my dad is a teacher, and he can't even remember the names of his students that he's been teaching for a year! But I will say, one of my FAVORITE pieces is Claire de Lune. It's almost magical to me and it takes me to another dimension. If you've never heard it, I'm telling you, you have to. It's one of the most beautiful classical pieces of all time!

Hi!!!!! I love classical music! I've been playing the cello for about 5 years now so I pretty much live and breathe classical music :). I've kind of moved beyond Suzuki books (my teacher's never been really big on them), but I guess you could say I'm in book 8 or 9. Have any of you heard of Certificate of Merit (CM)? Some of my favortie composers are Bach (Bach cello suites rock!!!), Mozart and Tchaikovsky (for orchestra).

YAY!
I play Suzuki method piano, but did you know it's not really called 'Suzuki method', it's called something like ' Mother Tongue Method'.
Um..............yeah.
I have been playing the piano since first grade. My li'l lis started before me, so I was behind her a little bit, then I broke my left arm the afternoon after my mom had said that I'm ready for my Book three recital, so I did two book three recitals, one right hand, and one both hands. so now I'm much behind my sis.
I hated having my arm broken because:
a) it kept me in the same place forever( as in piano)
b) it put me way behind my best friend who was on the same book as me.
c) because I had to have a surgery and they stuck two long pins in my arm because the bone was fractured.( btw, i still have the pins and a dent in my arm where they were)
d) because that year, there was a new boy, and I couldn't meet him untill about three weeks into the school year,
e) because they kept me in the hospital THREE EXTRA DAYS when my face began to sweel up, both because of the IV and the latex mask they put on my face during the surgery ( yes, I'm alergic to latex ( and most chemicals, too))
um sorry, kinda drifted off the subject here, didn't I!?
Hehehehe.............

I like most Classical music. I guess that's because I grew up around it, though. My dad has been teaching my brother piano for the past eighteen years or so, and my brother (B for short) has, apparently, real talent for it. We go to a lot of (student) concerts at his college and afterward Mom and Dad will be discussing the pros and cons of each performace and I'll be like "uh, what was wrong with that one?" I have almost no musical ear and can only tell if the player hits a wrong note in a familiar piece. So I enjoy the concerts even more than Mom and Dad do!
