Yesterday I was in a piano recital! I played the Spanish Dance #2 by Enrique Granados. Has anyone every heard of him?

Have you done any/many recitals? I used to not do any at all, but lately I've been doing quite a few....Granados writes really beautiful music! You should try and find some of it, maybe. You've heard of the Moonlight Sonata by Beethoven, right? One of these days I've gotta play that! Also the Goldberg Variations, but that's reaching. --as in, out of reach ;)

Yes, many. I've studied with three different piano teachers, btw. The first one did a recital every month, the second one every week, and my current teacher about two or three times a year. So, yeah, recitals, many, yes. Moonlight Sonata is sooooooo beautiful!!!! I can play ninths. Looong, slender fingers, yes?

Aah, yes. Looong slender fingers. I can reach ninths, too. If I want to try a tenth, I play more like four notes than two....:) Do you do any theory-work? I've had two teachers (well, three if you count my teacher from when I was an itty bitty kiddo) and I love them both! I've played the Maple Leaf Rag, by Scott Joplin, too, and that was really fun.

No, I've never heard of it, but I'm sure it sounded wonderful!!!!:):):) I love performing. I get WAY too nervous and freak myself out, but I forget all of it when I'm doing it on the stage!:) I haven't done a piano recital lately, but I've done a lot of them before!:):):) They're fun!:):):)

Thanks! I used to pretty much have a heart attack every time I went on stage, but now I only faint just before ;) No, just kidding. I actually don't get that nervous anymore. Do you play the piano, or another instrument?

I play clarinet...........and recorder, altho I'm getting kinda rusty on recorder.............need to polish up so can play duets with Franta...........rambling............

I've always wanted to play the guitar!!! I sort of play the penny-whistle, just by ear, pretty much (I don't have lessons for it). It's mostly because a character in some books I really like plays it (Jacky Faber, in the Bloody Jack series by L.A. Meyer).
