So yeah. The music is AWESOME and it brings an amazing storyline along with it. I only recently found it, so I'm not 100% sure if it's a musical, but there have been a lot of interpretations of it, and I saw a video of the two MCs singing "Evelyn, Evelyn," one of the songs, but that gives no proof.

Yeah, its pretty cool music!
To answer your question, it's not really a musical. The two Evelyn's are Amanda Palmer and Jason Webley. When they were performing they would dress up as their characters, play the piano and sing. They wouldn't really move around or dance or anything.
