Can I ask for help?
So, I want to learn how to play guitar. I will have to teach myself, but I know I can do it with the help of the internet, books, and my friend who plays the guitar. I only have a vague idea of how the guitar works, but whatever... what I need help with is deciding what type/brand of guitar I should get! It obviously can't be too expensive. What would you guys recommend for a beginner, and do you have any tips that would help me out? Thank you in advance!

Well, I only ever started because, um, I have commitment problems. But my father, brother and sister all play. So I would recommend starting with chords and not lead because you'll get stuck on it otherwise. I think most people prefer chords anyway...
