Chatterbox: Pudding's Place

Apocalyptica. I saw Apocalyptica live last night at the State Theater (Maine).

It was so amazing. If you don't know who Apocalytica is, they're basically a band of four cellos who play Metallica covers. They're from Finland, which I just learned last night. I hadn't really been gaga about their music, or even really listened to much at all but my family likes it, and you have to admit they're pretty cool. So I wanted to go to the concert and it was just....incredible. They're amazing. They're four guys with cellos. Two of them have long blondish hair and at parts of the concert they were flipping it around like heavy metal/rock artists. While playing their cellos. We sat in the orchestra, maybe six or seven rows back from the stage, and while it was a seated concert (just bunches of folded chairs; the State doesn't usually have seats) after the intermission the band invited people to stand up, or come up to the front. And people did. It was awesome. And the music was great. So were the lights. It. Was. Just. Incredible. My brother offered to let me sit on his shoulders (we had to stand up because everyone in front of us was) but I wasn't really feeling that daring so I declined the offer, although I sorta/kinda regret it now.

But it was amazing. I've got to go now, but I might talk (rant) (excitedly) about it more tomorrow or something. I just want you to picture in your heads four people with black clothes and cellos, up on a stage with flashing lights, playing Metallica songs with their cellos. It was great.
