Monsters!

I like to draw them. Not scary monsters. Not nescisarrily scary. Just monsters. I doodle them and like to make up names and designs for them. Often inspired by another form of media, I'm making a thread for me (and for you guys if you want) to share all my monster drawings. I'll begin posting after this thread shows up.

NOTE.

I am not a brilliant artist. In fact, I kinda suck. So don't expect these to be stellar.

Maybe I'll draw a monster and post it here too.

The first monsters are a group of guys I like to call the Smiling Quartet. They are all kind of based around smiling and laughing and stuff. The guy on the top left is Takawarai (Hirigana for 'Loud Laugh'). He likes to laugh and smile and tell jokes. The guy on the top right is Yubitobu (Hirigana for 'Smile Lift'). They have a little stalk atop their head that can lift stuff up in the air psychically. THe one of the bottom left is named Ricalus (Latin for 'The Smiling One'). He's got five mouths and three eyes. Also 16 fingers. The last guy on the bottom right is Gühül. I fogot what language and stuff he is. He's got two massive horns and a smile above his eye.

This has nothing to do with monsters, but...

Can you post a re-draw of the original General Waffleson?

What do you mean? Like the one that looks like a Waffle? Or the one that looks like a person? What do you mean by 'the original'?

Well, on the live chat thread you said you doodled a waffle with a unibrow on a napkin or something and got inspiration for your name from it. I'd like to see that. :D

I'm not good at drawing at all... in fact I am horrible... but maybe I'll give this a try later.

I love your pictures of the monsters though!! :)

Just a small sidenote; this has nothing to do with drawing monsters, but reading this post reminded me of one of my favorite Disney movies: Monsters Inc.

I don't often draw them, but I do sometimes imagine monsters out of household appliances. Old air conditioners are window-trapped monsters whose function is to breathe (this occured to me when I noticed one with orange sticky notes on it that reminded me of half-lidded eyes), and shredders are hungry little monsters with infinite appetites that can occasionally cause them to eat themselves to sleep (overheating), and using them is like feeding scraps to a puppy. Just today, though, I happened upon a picture of a mysterious device that probably had something to do with time travel in a webcomic, and I saw a cute little one-eyed beastie in it. So I drew it.

I like it! It's cute, and also slightly terrifying. But then again, I was frightened by................. (Fill in the blank with your choice of wimpy move and/or comic and/or book and/or novel)
