The Horizon&

Chatterbox: Pudding's Place

The Horizon&

The Horizon

Birds fly and fly and fly,

Up to the sky, the sea, the stars.

They have no limitations, to the naked eye.

But every mama bird tells their young, 'you can only go as far as the Horizon will let you'

The Horizon seeming so far away,

Not a stress for any little bird,

Flying so free, so free.

But what if a bird were to cross the Horizon,

and get lost at sea?

What if it called for help, but no bird came to help?

'I cannot cross the Horizon' they say.

"The Horizon is my only limitation'

But what they don't see,

what they don't know,

is that the Horizon is an Illusion

and one can go past as easily as anything,

If they only listen to their heart instead of the older birds,

If only they knew how easy it could be obtained,

so millions of birds in millions of numbers could fly over the open sky,

without any limitations.

But if one bird,

alone in its cause,

was to fly out there with one goal in mind,

The bird could get lost,

or tire,

and fall into an ocean.

It would drown,

drown in all the lies,

the words,

a constant crashing sea of doubt and sadness.

If no one flies with that bird,

if no one listens to its cries of help,

If no one takes it's wing as it reaches out,

the bird will drown.

And the others only have themselves to blame.

Because who is brave enough to fly past the Horizon,

past the Illusion of their only limitation,

Who would start a revolution for all birds alike,

who would help the other birds in need,

who have gone out to sea and are drowning,

who will save them,

help them,

fly vast and free without limitation?

One can only hope.

Or wish,

Or convince,

Other birds to break their limitaions.

To go past the Horizon they have created.

Yes. I really like this too, its symbolic meaning and stuff. We all have to be the birds who fly over the horizon together.
