CONCERTS! I

CONCERTS!

I'm so PSYCHED because in 10 days I'm going to see LINDSEY STIRLING for the 2ND TIME and she's coming to my town! Aaah!

I'm really excited, but I'm also freaking out a bit. At least I (sort of...?) know what I want to wear....

Anyway, it's so crazy because I went to see her in Boston in November (the tickets were a bday present) for her Warmer in the Winter tour! And she's coming to Portland Maine now!!! There are so many details about how I got the tickets and EVERYTHING that I could mention, but I won't, because I tend to go on about things like that. Anyway, she's coming to Merrill Auditorium and my best friend is getting to see her too! She was pretty disappointed when I went to see her in Boston (but she was nice about it.) because we're both super huge fans of Lindsey and my friend actually dances and plays the violin. (I don't.) But anyway....I'm SUPER excited. I'm wearing t-shirt from her last tour and depending on the weather, I'm either going to wear shorts or capri jeans. But I'm also trying to decide if I want to paint my nails or not, (because I only just recently figured out how to do it again after years of screwing it up) and there's also the fact that I want to be louder than I was at the last one, because (I'm going to switch to a new paragraph now)

1) In November I was starting to feel like I was getting the flu, and

2) I was sort of caught up in the whole concert-craziness-and-seeing-my-idol part.

I've figured out that I can't scream that loudly. It's disappointing. Does that sound weird? I don't really know how to do the cheering thing. I can't whistle either. (It's hopeless.) Because at the first Lindsey Stirling concert, there were these people who could both cheer really loudly and whistle and I kind of wished I was less timid about being loud at concerts.

You're probably fed up with my incomprehensible ranting so...I have questions for y'all! You can either break this up into a questionnaire or just talk about concerts.

Have you gone to concerts before? If so, who was/were it/they by? Have you gone to concerts by people you really love anything? What did you wear, was it a stand-up or sit-down concert, did you do meet-and-greets? Did you have to travel to go to the concert? Who did you go with? Did you stress about what to wear or not? Did you love the concert?

And...so on.

Thanks.

I love love love love LOVE concerts!! I was super anxious when I went to my first one, but it was soooo fun. My one tip is to not scream or make noise while you are videoing, because in my experience when you go back to watch the videos afterwards all you can hear is yourself.

Anyways, yes, I have been to two concerts. My first was the Coldplay A Head Full of Dreams world tour(which was hands down probably the best experience of my whole life), and my second was José Gonzales. I love both of those artists/bands, so going was super amazing. For both of the concerts I just wore jeans and the band/artist shirt, and yes, for both I did stress out about my outfit. Coldplay did have seats because it was in a huge stadium, and sadly I was not down in the pit, but I stood up and danced along with everyone else like the whole time. José Gonzales was in a smaller venue and was sit down and waaaay less wild. For both of the concerts I went to Phoenix, which is about three hours from where I live, and I went with my older sister both times.

Oh yeah. :P I only have a camera, which doesn't take the best audio anyway, but I also had this flash thing on that I couldn't turn off so I had to just take videos of the audio, and when I listened to them again, I could hear myself clapping--it was sooo weird.

That's really cool! Coldplay must've been amazing. I haven't heard of José Gonzales, what kind of music does he play?

Yeah, the Lindsey Stirling concert was my first concert ever, which was super cool! I also got to see Apocalyptica a couple months ago. They came to the State Theater, which is in Portland (of course) and it was SUPER AWESOME. It was technically sit-down but we were in the "orchestra" and about halfway through the concert they invited people to stand up and/or come down to the front. I had to stand up because I was shorter than everyone around me. XP

But it's cool! I hadn't been to any concerts before, and now as I'm 12 I get to see my sorta-kinda-idol twice and another really cool concert!

I've been to three concerts: Adele, Green Day, and P!nk. All of them were awesome and in Boston, about an hour's drive feom my house, but for Adele and P!nk I went with my mum, my bestie, and her mum, and we took a train. For Green Day, I went with my dad and we drove. I didn't stress about what to wear to any of them, but I don't stress about clothes in general.

Also: you're going to see Lindsey Stirling? For the second time? I am so jealous. She's awesome.

Yeah, I am lucky. Going to see Adele and P!nk were both birthday presents, and I wasn't actually supposed to go to Green Day, It was meant to be my mum and dad, but they couldn't get a sitter for me and my brothers (because they'd have been gone past midnight and my brothers were ten and seven, and I was twelve), so my mum stayed home and my dad I went instead. I feel guilty, because even though it isn't my fault, I kinda stole my mom's ticket.

@Leafpool

José Gonzales is a guitar player who has an indie/Americana style of music. If you’ve seen The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, he did almost all of the music for it. Also, I am so jealous that you get to go see Lindsey Stirling. She is absolutely fantastic.

I’ve gone to a lot of classical music concerts(Including an awesome Hanz Zimmer one. Tina Guo was there, she’s my cello idol) but the only pop(ish) concerts I’ve gone to were Halsey’s Hopeless Fountain Kingdom tour and Lana Del Rey’s Lust for Live tour. Both were awesome!
