Misheard Song Lyrics

This has been a thread at least once or twice before, and I thought I'd start it up again! Just post whatever song lyrics you have misheard (bonus points if they're funny).

I listen to the radio a lot (pop) and since I'm not supposed to look up random stuff on the internet, and I don't have a phone or anything, I generally just don't understand the lyrics anyways and I really have no idea what they actually are, but I'm just not hearing them quite enough so I can only think they're saying nonsense words until I really learn what it was. HOWEVER, once in a while I actually honestly hear something as actual words, but they're wrong. Also, some music artists need ENUNCIATION.

That song by Portugal the Man, called Feel It Still? Well, I heard that on the radio quite a few times and there are these lyrics that go "we could fight a war for peace" and until I found out what the real lyrics were, I heard it as "we could find a waffle feast". Seriously. It still cracks me up.

Merry Christmas Eve!

My littlest brother was thinking that this line in Deck the Halls went:

"Strike the hat and join the forest!"

And I was doing Christmas crafts with my sister and listening to Christmas carols on her laptop, and there was this line....I don't even know what the song was called, and I'm not even sure if these are actually the lyrics or not, but it was going something like: "All those dear friends who are now...." And there was a word that started with d, I just don't remember what it was. But I was thinking, as I listened to it, before I heard all of the word, that it was going to say "all those dear friends who are now deeeaaaaad". Yeah. Because it was kind of a gloomy-sounding song.

In Marie's Wedding by High Kings, and there's this one line that goes 'Many bonnie bairns as well', but for some reason I've started hearing it as 'Many Bucky Barnes as well', which I think is hilarious for some reason.

There's this other song, Ooh Aah by Grits, and a lot of it is rapping-ish, so it's really hard to understand what they're saying, and me and my brother misheard like over half the lyrics. XD There's this one part we always sang as 'Like eatin' bread crumbs off a dirty old tray, my mom is like a fly so I swat her away'. It's actually 'Leavin' bread crumbs for when I stray, rely on sacrifice and the price you pay.' We listened to the song yesterday and read the lyrics, and it was hilarious to see what they really were vs. what we heard them as. xD
