Continuous Poetry Game!!!

Chatterbox: Pudding's Place

Continuous Poetry Game!!!

Continuous Poetry Game!!!

I don't think this has been done beofre. My idea is that someone starts off a poem (about whatever they want) 4 lines maximum. Then the next person continues (again, maximum of 4 lines), with whatever they think the poem is/should be about. Got it? Also, please please please wait until you see the last person's comment, or else we'll all be mixed up. Ready?

You step onto the dance floor

Hesitantly, falteringly,

Practiced.

The butterflies

Swarming

Attacking

Inside you

But you've done this before

Why should this be any different

That's what you don't know

Why do you always get this way

On the outside you are smooth,

Steady.  But on the inside you tremble, terrified,

balanced on your twitching toe,

always on the threshold, the precipice

Hey, this is a cool idea, TwirlGirl!

The audience is looking now,

You tighten up inside

Emotions flowing through your chest,

You wipe your tears and try

Ba-bump, ba-bump

You hear you heart beat.

One-two, One-two

To the music's solid beat,

you clench your heart's emotions and

try to focus on what you're doing--

meant to be here.

why can't you see the stage? it swims.

The music

The sweeping music

It's the only thing to keep you from falling

But it's too delicate to support your straining muscles

How about we make an end date? 'Cause if not it'll just go on forever... maybe the 19th? Then the person who posted last I guess, will start a new and totally different poem. It'll be really interesting to see the finshed poem. (It's so interesting how much my idea changed :))

It fills my head

Making my heart pound

My steps twirl

Like the memories

Rushing through my head

They often torment me

Not now

The daggers inside once cut

Now molten they flow through me

Hot

Into the fierce sadness of the music

You know it will be

The last time

Perhaps that's why

You also know it will be fine.
