Hmm, you think, Saving a universe? That much sounds like fun - although I'm not too sure about the "accidents, injuries, and sudden deaths" part. Here goes! You sign the letter, and it disappears.

Well, this is my first ski lodge to either make or join, surprisingly enough. Other details are that neither AEs nor CAPTCHAs (or CAPTCHAEs) are allowed, and this Ski Lodge is based off of Dark Lord of Derkholm (by Diana Wynne Jones). If you wanted to know ;) Oh yes, and you can guess me if you want to. I'm an older CBer, was here for the reunion, and well. That's really it. Oh, plus here's the sheet.

I'll be able to post more after every-day swimming lessons are over. Here goes:

Kitten~

Kitten shifted from foot to foot as Ms. Edwards admonished everyone to always listen to their wizard guide, always stay with their wizard guide, do what the wizard guide says ... for the fifth time.
Kitten looked up at the huge, blue-and-purple flickering portal, letting her mind wander.

"... And always listen to your Wizard Guide." Ms. Edwards finished.  She looked at her watch. "It's time to go in. Please proceed in the order of: Soren Infinity. Leafpool. Gracia. TheaterGirl. Joan B. of Arc. Kitten. OrangeAndTealMermaid."

Kitten eagerly went through the portal. A slight fizzing sensation, a moment of darkness, and then ... "Welcome!" An overly-hearty voice said. "We're so glad to have you all here. Here are your bundles of equipment! Please change in your rooms. Here are your room numbers. Once you're done, please put your offworld things in the cupboards provided."

Kitten looked down at her bundle, then up at the speaker. He seemed to be ... an innkeeper, perhaps? He looked maniacally - and not quite sincerely - happy. "Dinner will be downstairs at six." Kitten shrugged and turned to go up the stairs. They were wooden and rickety. She was afraid that they might collapse, so she practically ran up and entered her room - six. There were seven rooms, one for each of them, and one extra ... oh, the wizard guide's, probably.

Kitten unpacked her bundle of equipment and looked it over. Roughly made pants and short-sleeved shirt. A belt with a small sheath. Leather boots with soles that seemed to be padded on the underneath, so they made no noise on the floor unless stomped. A bedroll, lantern, small amount of food that looked like beef jerky, a kanteen of water, bow and a quiver of arrows, and a small dagger. "Cool!" she said, and looked around the room. It was small, with a dirty-looking bed that had rough blankets, a tiny shuttered window, and what Kitten supposed was a washstand, filled with water.

Kitten quickly changed and hesitated. Did her glasses and ponytail holder count as "offworld"? Probably, but she kept them anyways. If anybody asked, well, she needed the glasses, at least! She walked down the stairs. "Excuse me?" she asked the innkeeper. He seemed to have not heard her. Kitten flicked her ears in annoyance. "Excuse me." she said, louder. He looked around and pasted on a fake grin. "Yes?" He asked.

"Where are the cupboards, please?" Kitten asked in return. After receiving her answer and stowing her things there, she sat down at the table to wait. Was the "journey" off to a good start? She wasn't sure yet.

Swift says "aidk". I'm not sure if she's offering aid, or if she doesn't know.
