Sage~

Other people join me outside- Lux and Glass, and people I don't know. People I could meet! I get out of the trampoline and walk up to a girl who's standing alone, but doesn't look quite lost. She has purple eyes and white sandals.

"Hey, what's up? I'm Sage! Cool hair," I say.

Dewy~

Lots more people come, passing me by on the porch. I fidget uncomfortably. I shouldn't stare at them, but I also shouldn't completely ignore them, but how should I acknowledge them? A small 'hi'? A nod of the head? Who knew this could be so stressful? 

I fold the wings of my origami crane upwards, stuff it in my pocket, and enter the house. Most people are standing a lone, and a few are in the rafters. My eyes dart from person to person, and sometimes their eyes find mine and we make eye contact for a secodn before I tear mine away, embarrassed. 

I approach the snack table, where a beautiful cake has appeared. Sea Glass stands by the table, looking severely stressed. Is xe okay? What should I do?

I reach over to cut a piece of cake, but I keep looking at Sea Glass, wondering if I should help somehow, or say something. 

Then I realize I have no choise- xe is blocking the forks. "U-uh, excuse me," I mumble. Xe jumps a little, then hastily and silently moves away from the table. I grab a fork, then look back at xyr. "Um, are you- alright? You look... nervous." I blush. Why do I always have to blush??

Lux~

WILD CARD explodes into the room, shouting as always. I see Glass's eyes flicker with rage and despair, and suddenly my gentle friend explodes at her sister. I lean up against a wall and space out, not catching anything that's said. After a moment of blistering words, WILD CARD races back out, her makeup making lines down her highly contoured cheeks. Glass collapses to the floor, tears streaming silently down her face as she hugs herself. Her grip is so intense I can see her knuckles going white. She sniffles.

"I'm so sorry, Lux. I don't know what came over me. I wish I could mend it..." The bathroom door slams downstairs.

"I found WILD CARD... Here-" I procure a blind-fold. Thank goodness for my creation powers. "We'll go downstairs, you blind-fold me, and I'll go get WILD CARD out of the bathroom. Okay?" Glass looks at me funny. "What?"

"Why are you doing this?" The question hits me like a ton of bricks. For a moment, my train of thought staggers. I really don't know why I am doing this.

"Would you prefer me not to?" I look deep into Glass's eyes, searching for her intent. Silence follows for a few minutes. Then, Glass sighs.

"...Let's do it."

"Okay." We go downstairs, and Glass blinds me, then puts my hand on the girl's bathroom's doorknob. I crack the door open a little bit. "To all the girls who are potentially in here, this is Lux. I am coming in, blindfolded. Please do not freak out. However, if WILD CARD could just come on out, this would be a lot easier."

I wanted to show Lux's peacemaker side in this, then later his... other... side will seem so much more dramatic... *Evil plot face*

LeAnn~

I brush away my tears and my hand comes back covered in smeared in mascara and eyeliner. Well, I know my next step is to find a bathroom where I can clean myself up. When I atempt to stand up I bang my head on the table, I had climbed underneath it to hide when I heard someone running down the stairs. As I'm climbing out from under the table a boy with large, white dragon wings and a girl with purple hair hurry though and head down the hallway. They look distressed, and I don't know if they noticed me. I stand up and follow them down the hallway at a distance. They stop outside a room that must be the bathroom. The boy with dragon wings is wearing a blindfold, he opens the door and calls a warning to any girls who may be in there, then he asks for WILD CARD to come out. She doesn't, so he goes in. I wait a minute and follow him, hoping I won't be intruding on anything. chzz

Lux~

Nobody answers, and I walk in, feeling my way against stall doors and walls. WILD CARD grabs my arm and thrusts me aside. By feel, there's a sink and some sort of box nearby.

"What are you doing here? Why don't you go back to doing whatever you were doing with my sister WHY CAN'T YOU JUST LEAVE ME ALONE?!" I wince as her already booming voice echoes off the smooth walls, intensifying and hurting my ears even more.

"I came in here to get you. I'm not going to lecture you or anything-"

"You're not...?" I can feel the shock in her voice.

"No. If you could just come with me, Glass would like to apologize for exploding at you." I almost feel her heart harden.

"Psh. Why should I accept?"

"Because she's you're sister and she is also in tears, possibly whispering to herself that she's sorry and why did she do that. Plus grudges are unhealthy." I step aside and thrust my arms in the general direction of the door. To my relief I hear WILD CARD's footsteps pass. "Uhhhh, I'll be there in a second. I gotta feel my way outta this place." Suddenly, I feel a hand grab mine and WILD CARD tugs me along with her.

LeAnn~

WILD CARD and dragon boy (whose name I believe is Lux) don't notice me as I slip into the bathroom. From what I hear WILD CARD is in a situation similar to mine, but unlike me her sister has come to apologise. I wonder where Daniel is, maybe he's gone back to find Logan. WILD CARD and Lux still haven't noticed me, I guess WILD CARD is too upset, and Lux is still wearing a blindfold. 

WILD CARD drags Lux out of the bathroom, and I'm finally alone. There are some makeup remover wipes sitting on the counter, WILD CARD was probably going to use them. I take one and wipe all of the makeup off my face. I wish I had brought my makeup bag with me... UGH! Where is Daniel?!?! Doesn't he care?! Doesn't he know how much his words hurt me?!?! I start to sob again...

Daniel~

It's been a while since LeAnn ran off, and I've been thinking about what I said. The longer I play the conversation in my head, the worse my outburst seems. Ugh! Why did I have to fly off the handle like that?!?! I need to find LeAnn...and Logan. Poor Logan, she's probably wondering where I went. I've got to go find them!

I see Logan talking to a girl with large, black glasses and wearing bright green converse, he hair is dirty blonde and pulled back into a long ponytail. "Logan!" I call, interrupting whatever conversation they were having. "Have you seen LeAnn?!?" Logan looks surprised to see me, but not unhappy. "Daniel! You came back!!!" She exclaims. "No, I haven't seen LeAnn! Have you seen her, Sage?" The other girl, Sage, shrugs. "I've seen a lot of people, what does she look like?" I struggle to describe LeAnn. "She looks a lot like me, we're twins. Her hair is SUPER long, it goes down to her hips? She's wearing a red, faux leather jacket? She might have looked a little upset? Have you seen her?" Sage thinks about it. "I think she might have headed inside? Yeah, that's right, I'm pretty sure she went inside!" "What's wrong, Daniel? Did something happen?" Logan sounds worried. "I said some REALLY mean things to her and she ran off. We need to find her!" "I can help you look!!!" Logan exclaims eagerly. "I can help too, follow me." Sage leads us inside... 

Sea Glass~

The tide of AEs ebbs and flows around me. With effort, I crank my gaze down to watch my sandals and the shadows moving around them. Every movement feels unnatural.

An AE walks up to the table beside me. I shift my weight politely away from them, look in the opposite direction as if minding my own business, and wait for their time in this space to be over. 

What comes instead is their voice.

"U-uh, excuse me."

I fair near leap out of my skin. Unwittingly, I have committed another small crime against common decency. I lurch away, feeling as a statue breaking from its pedestal. The AE--tall, with long green hair adorned with lilies and eyes of a similar hue to my own--pauses to consider me, then speaks again.

"Um, are you... all right? You look nervous."

She does, too. This throws me for a moment; Viola? showed me a picturing she did of her once, in which she appeared quite differently. But it is not uncommon for AEs' personalities to change, and so I put my mind to the task of simultaneously trying to remember if we have ever before spoken and thinking of a response. 

"I--er--well, y--not--maybe? I'm sorry."

"Oh, no, don't be," she says. 

"I'm sorry," I repeat dumbly. "I'm afraid I'm not accustomed to parties. And you? I haven't upset you, have I?" 

LeAnn~

Logan and a girl I don't recognize suddenly burst into the bathroom.

"What happened?" asks the unfamiliar girl. She's wearing bright green converse and is wearing her dirty blonde hair in a long ponytail.

"H-he yelle-he yelled at-at me!" I sob, my words are barely intelligible.

"Who?" asks Logan. She doesn't know? Wait...no, there is a bit of understanding in her eyes, she DOES know.

"Daniel," I sniffle. 

"LEt's go talk to him and work this out," say Logan calmly. She leads me out of the bathroom and her friend follows us. We walk by WILD CARD, Lux, and Glass. They glance at us, WILD CARD looks miserable and Glass looks regretful. They appear to be in a situation similar to my own. Poor WILD CARD, I make a mental note to introduce myself to her later. Now that I get a closer look at Lux I discover he is PRETTY good looking, though he obviously has feelings for Glass. It really is too bad all the guys are taken. Maybe WILD CARD will produce a brother out of nowhere or something...

Daniel~ 

I go upstairs to look for LeAnn, she's sure to have found some sort of clever hiding place. I open the door directly in front of me, I discover a cosy looking bedroom, but no LeAnn. Next I try the door to the left, LeAnn isn't in there but there is a lot of art on the walls. I try the only remaining door, the one on the right. To my suprise there is an AE standing directly behind the door, it's not LeAnn, this girl is taller and has her black hair pulled up in to a bun. I notice a blue streak in her hair, she looks sensible but stylish.

The girl is very startled, I think she might be WILD CARD's sister, and this might be her bedroom! "I'm sorry! I was looking for something...I mean someone...my sister," I stumble over my words, though I don't know why. "It's...it it fine," says the girl. "Who are you?" "I'm...uh...I'm Daniel, my sister is LeAnn. Have you seen her?" I mutter. "Uh...no I haven't." She sounds apologetic. "I'm Enigma, WILD CARD is my sister. I'm not a big fan of parties so I came up here." "That's fine, would you like to come help me look for my sister? I said some sort of not-nice things and really hurt her feelings!" Enigma looks sympathetic, "All right, she's probably downstairs. Come on!" Enigma leads me out of her room and down the stairs...   

Thank you, LeAnn, for the compliment, but I am not shipped as of yet. Glass and I are friends.

*Groans* Why does everybody think that we're shipped??

Dewy~

Xyr eyes dart around while xe replies, "I- er- well, y-not- maybe? I'm sorry."

"It's okay, don't be," I say instantly. I feel bad for bothering xyr now, I probably made xyr feel worse instead of better.

"I'm sorry," xe repeats. "I'm afraid I'm not accustomed to parties. And you? I haven't upset you, have I?"

"No, absolutely not!" I cry, probably too loud. (Definitely too loud.) I bite my lip. It's true, but I don't know if I sounded sincere. "I'm not accustomed to parties either. Even though I've been to like 4 balls. And participated in a few RPs. And a masquerade."

I shake my head. What am I even saying? "Do you want me to, like, leave? I made this so weird. Sorry."

Is it weird that I just want to hug these two awkward beans? Because I'm seriously internally fangirling over them right now.

Sage~

Logan (I think that's her name) barely has time to respond before several things happen. First, a boy with jeans and blue eyes comes over to Logan and asks if she's seen LeAnn. He looks worried.

"Daniel! You came back!" Logan exclaims. "No, I haven't! Sage, have you seen LeAnn?"

I shrug. "I've seen a lot of people. What does she look like?"

Daniel rings his hands, and he struggles to string a description together. "She looks a lot like me, we're twins. She has REALLy long hair, down to her waist...? She's wearing a red leather faux jacket, and she might have looked a little upset? Have you seen her?"

I think hard for a second, rewinding to when I was in the trampoline. "Yeah, I think I saw her! I'm pretty sure she went inside? Yeah, she went inside!"

Logan asks what's wrong, and Daniel claims he said some mean stuff to her. I'm not very good at identifying these things, but I think he sounds guilty. We agree to help him look for her. They follow me inside.

"Maybe we could check the bathrooms," I suggest. I mean, it's kind of standard for an upset teenage-ish girl to take refuge in a bathroom and cry while her makeup runs, right? I mean, I'm really not a standard upset teenage-ish girl, so.

"Ya, we'll check the bathrooms, and Daniel, you check the rest of the house. We'll meet you later," Logan decides. We all agree on this plan, adn after a whisper to Daniel, Logan and I head to the bathroom while catching a glimpse of WILD CARD and Lux.

oorWe hear faint sobbing. "Do you think it's LeAnn?" I ask, though I know it probably is.

"Let's see for sure!" Logan replies. We push open the door to the bathroom. LeAnn is crying by one of the sinks, holding a makeup wipe.

I rush over and put an arm around her shoulder. "What happened?"

"He- he yelled at me!" she wails.

"Who?" asks Logan.

"Daniel," says LeAnn. 

"Let's work this out," Logan says soothingly. We walk out, and LeAnn's eyes follow Lux and WILD CARD. "I'm Sage, by the way," I introduce to LeAnn. 

When Daniel comes back to meet us, I'm surprised to see someone else with him.

"Enigma?" I question.

LeAnn~

Logan and the other girl, who introduced herself as Sage, get me calmed down and help me clean the rest of my makeup off. Suddenly Daniel emerges from upstairs following another girl! I don't think I've seen her before, Sage seems to recognize her though. "Enigma?" She seems surprised to see her. Enigma smiles at Sage, and then looks back at Daniel, "Are any of these girls your sister?" Daniel looks at me and mumbles "Yes..." He looks a little flustered, and he keeps glancing at Enigma. Out of the corner of my eye I can see Logan's face, she looks a little disappointed to see Daniel with another girl...

Daniel~

I follow Enigma down the stairs and almost immediately we see Logan, Sage, and LeAnn. Sage looks at Enigma, they must have already met. Enigma turns to me with a little smile, "Are any of these girls your sister?" I look guiltily at LeAnn and mumble "Yes..." Enigma is kind of distracting me from what I need to do, I keep glancing at her to make sure she hasn't run back to her room...
