So, there's a poetry contest and a photography contest and writing contests pop up a lot, but there's not any drawing contests right now. I know that there are soooo many awesome artists on CB (many are way better than me lol), so I felt like it would be a good idea to start a drawing contest.
The first theme is going to be "beach", and I'll be judging on the 12th if more than two people enter. I hope this catches on!!

Your drawing was very detailed, down to the elfs crown! The coloring was nice and the added commentary was a nice touch!
Second goes to Kitten!!
Your hand has good perportions and I like how the inked lines are so smooth. Actually, I quite like the coloring. It adds life!
To both good job! I love seeing each others art styles.

I hope this is the right thing for this topic and I hope you enjoy. This is my attempt at drawing a rose, and it's much better than I thought it was going to be. I also hope it's ok that I just lightly colored this and that the outline is pencil.

In first place: Jaybells! Your proportions are excellent and I love the different textures.
In second: Fleet! I like the characters and the color scheme is really pretty.

@alizarine i am a bit confused. The rose i posted was for ths topic, i know it was early and i get it if you were just showing the first two people, but my rose WAS for this topic. Just reminding/telling in case you didn't know. Sorry if i sound rude, i just wanted to know cause i'm really proud of that drawing.

@Sunshine Wings- Oooh, I'm really sorry! I thought everyone only judged 1st and 2nd place, but the last judge only did that because two people entered. I wasn't trying to ignore you or anything. I'm sorry if I came off as rude :(
