Day 1

Jaybells had followed the letter’s instructions very specifically, and now Sierra was standing in the middle of Africa at 1:08, five minutes early with Jaybells. Nobody else had showed up yet, and she was doubting her sanity and the letter’s trustworthiness. However, her doubts were taken away when she saw someone she recognized - Enigma. Then Glass, WILD CARD, and Fleet in a small fighter jet, and Barnswallow, a little farther off in a giant rainbow balloon!

“You got the letter too, did you?” Jaybells asked Fleet and Barnswallow

“Yep!” Fleet said.

Barnswallow fidgeted a little. “I would show you it . . . but I kind of burned it because I was afraid it would explode . . . these types of things happen.”

Jaybells laughed. “That’s kind of awesome.”

~~~
A little later, 13 CBers had assembled, so Sierra assumed that the blessing of unicorns was coming. “Hey, what’s that-” someone started, and then they were encircled in unicorns.
“So . . . I guess we pick one?” Kitten said, breaking the shocked silence.
Sierra swung herself up on a beautiful palomino unicorn, with a glowing horn. She had barely time to grasp what looked like braided handles in the horse’s mane, before they were off, with a jerk and abrupt surge of speed.
Once they were going, the unicorn seemed to sense Sierra’s hesitance, so they slowed down a bit. At the back, it was peaceful, with only a few people, including Gracia and Nymph. Someone came up behind her, huffing and out of breath.
Sierra looked at them sympathetically. “Oh, did the unicorn start without you?”
“Yeah, you think they’d wait. It’s like suddenly being pied, except a little more painful.”
Sierra laughed. “You’re okay, right?”
“Yes, I’m fine. You should be more worried about yourself, little weak one.”
“I’m not weak! And what do you mean worried about myself?”
“How will you do on your own? Especially since you’re not going to this vacation, weak one.”
“I’m going! I’m not-”
A kick from the other person’s horse knocked Sierra straight off her horse.
As Sierra fell into the soft grass, the other person rode on ahead. Sierra looked at them, riding off. “But I thought you were nice . . .”
~~~

They had arrived at the resort, and Conan thought it wasn’t too bad, pretty awesome actually. It was a huge modern building, with a green lawn and wide concrete pathway surrounded with sculptures. There was a sign for ‘Unicorn Crossing’, and they rode into a unicorn stable area.

Everyone hopped off their horse, and Conan went to find Jaybells and Sierra.

Before Conan could find Jaybells, Jaybells found him. “Hey, where’s Sierra?” Jaybells asked.

“I thought she was with you! Let’s go look.”

They couldn’t find Sierra. “Um, let’s not panic, we can just call-”

“Jaybells, were in a different dimension! She’s probably wandering in the middle of Africa!”

At that moment, someone came out. A person, dressed in light white jeans, a blue sweater, and a top hat. They had feathery wings sprouting out of their back, and a white masquerade ball mask with gold trim. “Hey! Director! I think we left someone behind!” Jaybells yelled, quite panicked.

The Director shuffled a little. “I may have some extraordinary cross-dimension mail connections, but I can really only change things in this dimension . . . your friend will probably stay in the middle of Africa, or somewhere else . . . she’ll be safe either way, I sent someone to transport anyone left behind to their home dimension.”

“Why not transport them here?” Summer spoke up.

“That’s how we get uninvited guests. But anyway, it’s getting late. Let me show you to the dining hall.”

Conan was relieved, knowing that Sierra was safe at least. But what an opportunity she had missed! When they went into the dining hall, they were greeted by a marble floor, and a long wooden table, with all sorts of food (organic and non-GMO, of course), everything Sierra would have loved.

During dinner, the Director explained their 12-day trip plan. “Tomorrow, we’re going to a rollercoaster. Depending on weather, we might go to the beach sometime. We are definitely going to tour Baygullwood sometime, and you all will actually have a chance to shoot a mini-movie. The rest is all in the air, because our weather guy has seen some incoming storm clouds. That’s the game plan. Right now, we’re undergoing some renovation around the back, so only the front rooms are available, so that’s why we provided this special opportunity trip. You guys will be split into rooms of three, and you’ll each receive your room cards.”

Conan was exhausted. He didn’t know why. He stumbled into his room with Obsidian Fox and Boo, and went straight to sleep.

I'm not anyone that you guys have guessed so far :)

Ooh, cool!

Also, I know you aren't Summer, because you said you'd been gone for a bit, and also she wouldn't say anything about K-pop, but do you have any sort of connection with her? I mean, this is a summer ski lodge, like her name, and your age box says 'Exactly Pi,' like hers (which is just 'pi,' but close enough), so...

Day 2

Summer woke up in her shared room with Raksha and Vivian. It was a nice room, like a hotel room except bigger, and with pastel decor. They had been woken up by a flying snake, which had jerked its head at the great hall, broken their window glass, and flown away.

“Breakfast!” Vivian said, and rushed down without waiting for Raksha or Summer.

At breakfast, the Director told them that they would be going to an amusement park. “Yeet!” HarmonicArtist yelled.

Awkward silence followed.

“Oh-oh, I’m really excited,” HarmonicArtist said, and rounds of laughter erupted.

Summer was excited too - though not so enthusiastic about it. After breakfast, the unicorns cantered at a slow pace to the amusement park. It took a while to get everything sorted out, and by the time they were there, it was lunchtime.

They sat down in a shady pavilion, hanging from a huge tree branch, a few feet off the ground. The refrigerator was packed with all sorts of fresh food. HarmonicArtist opened the refrigerator, and pulled out some chocolate ice cream. “Who wants ice cream?” she asked.

Silence, again. Then Summer broke it. “I-I wouldn’t mind some myself.”

The two started eating a small scoop of ice cream, while the others found healthier food. After a while, Summer finished, and stood up to find maybe a salad or something, but was rocked by a sharp stab of pain. She doubled over and coughed.

“Summer! Are you okay?” Spring asked, concerned.

“Uhhhhh-no,” Summer said.

HarmonicArtist suddenly gave way to a coughing fit. The Director stood up. “Poison,” she said, and pulled out a needle. “Stay still.”

The Director gave an injection to Summer, and then to HarmonicArtist. “Nobody touch anything, I doubt it was only the ice cream that was poisoned,” The Director said grimly.

So their lunch ended up being Soubway footlongs. It was okay though - Summer had nearly died, and she was pretty shaken.

~~~
Secret and Dream, not at all bothered, went to the Fantasy Coaster in the afternoon. It was an adorable fantasy-themed rollercoaster, with little mushroom carts, seating two. They chose a red mushroom cart.
“Drea mLik esCo aste rs~~!” Dream yipped.
“I like rollercoasters too, now come on, let’s get in!” Secret said.
The mushroom started off in a fairy tunnel, with fairy lights and little dioramas of fairy houses. The tunnel gave way to sunlight, and they started clacking up the track, up till the tippy top, at which they sped down with the speed of dragons.
Secret felt a thrill, and something else. Something was kind of . . . wrong. Secret looked down, and figured out what was wrong. The cart was derailing.
Secret desperately tried to shove the cart back in place. Her seatbar snapped up, and then she and Dream were free falling.
“Secr ettt!” Dream screeched.
“Dream, I’m coming for you!”
Secret clutched Dream in the arms, shielding her from the impending fall . . .
Crack, into the roof of the mermaid river tunnel, Splash, into the deep river, with Secret, just dead weight sinking to the bottom of the river, and Dream, struggling to climb onto the shore.
~~~

“She’s gone.”

“What?”

“Dream, she disappeared.”

“ButS heWa sRig htTh ere!”

“I don’t know where she went, but she’s gone. I’m sorry, Dream.”

~~~
Dinner was somber, with silence resounding all throughout the hall. Seaglass felt the silence was so loud, she couldn’t bear it anymore.
Seaglass slipped out of the dining hall, into one of the corridors, careful not to make a sound. It just didn’t feel like she should. She still heard sound, but from someone else. Where?
Seaglass peeked around a corner, and she saw something that made her heart beat oh so much faster.
Levana, threatening Jaybells. “You have to be careful!” Levana hissed, pinning Jaybells to the wall.
“You were almost caught, by the Director!”
Jaybells looked scared, and annoyed. “I-I-I told y-you! I don’t want anything to do with you or your plans! I hate what you’re doing!”
Levana’s eye twitched. “I’ll tell everyone that you killed her, if you tell them my secret!”
“B-but I-”
“Hsst! Someones here! Out!”
Seaglass walked back to her room, with a lot of new thoughts in her head.
Wow, I was really worried for a second. But I'm glad HarmonicaArtist and I are both okay.
On another topic, could you be NatureWriter? I haven't seen him post in a while.
