Christmas Songs.

Chatterbox: Pudding's Place

Christmas Songs.

Christmas Songs.

I was just wondering, what are your guys's favorite Christmas songs? Or least favorite?

I really like "Have yourself a merry little christmas," "deck the halls," "carol of the bells," "holly and the ivy," and "in the bleak midwinter."

I also really like White Winter Hymnal even though that's technically not a Christmas song.

And it so happens that I'm listening to this one album our family has, which is a mixture of American and Swedish Christmas music (called "Home for Christmas"). And I love it sooooooo much. (The song playing at the moment is Oh Come all Ye Faithful). The first track on the album, "Koppengan", is SO pretty. (Well it's the first track and the last, 'cept the first time it's English and the last time Swedish).

So, yes, those are some of the Christmas songs I like.

Ones I don't like are "santa baby", "let it snow", and "winter wonderland." The last two aren't technically Christmas songs anyway, just winter ones, and santa baby is weird cuz who would be in love with Santa? (No offense, Mrs. Claus).

Anyway......

Merry almost-Xmas!

Ooh, cool thread! I love We Three Kings, Mary Did you Know and Silent Night, but my favorite is Christmas to Me by Pentatonix. I don't like Santa Baby either, or (and don't kill me) All I Want for Christmas Is You. I'm not a huge fan of Here Comes Santa Claus either.

The Straigh No Chaser and Pentatonix versions of almost any given Christmas song are awesome.

You dont like Let It Snow?? It's so good, especially when sang by the classic singers like Bing Crosby and Dean Martin!

I love all types of christmas music, like Someday at Christmas (Stevie Wonder), Wonderful christmastime (Paul Mcartney),  Lauren Daigle's Christmas album, Burl Ives and his classic album, and basically all of Justin Bieber's Mistletoe album.

I dislike most of Pentatonix's christmas songs, only bc they tend to be repetative.

I’m not the hugest fan of Christmas songs in general, but they can be really pretty when sung by people who are actually trying (i.e. not most of the people who sing them).

I don't really like most modern Christmas songs but the older, traditional ones are pretty good. I also like just classical/instrumental because sometimes lyrics are too hard to deal with. oof

Something interesting I found on youtube was a youtuber named Peter Hollens made an evoultion of christmas songs from 1744 to 2019, where he sings a whole bunch of christmas songs with classic modern and everything in between. There are also fun facts about every song. I know I sound like a walking ad, but the video is pretty cool. I recommend you go check that out.

Hmm, yes. Those are all very classic Christmas songs, but the most classical and, by far, the best Christmas song is "Grandma got run over by a Reindeer".

If you don't know it, I sujust you go listen to it.

Also, my absolute favorite song is "Greensleeves"... it has a different name as well when it's put to words but I can't for the life of me remember it. If any one knows what it's called please tell me!

I love all Christmas songs. There is none that I really dislike.

I LOVE "Carol of the Bells", and the Pentatonix versions of "Little Drummer Boy" and "White Christmas"(though the original is good to).

I really, really hate most Christmas songs. However, I really like a lot of Grand Siberian Orchestra stuff. They turn a lot of traditional Christmas songs into rock songs, while still not making it unrecognizable. I recommend checking their stuff out of you've got the chance.

I also really like "Run Rudolph Run" by Chuck Berry. There's also "Snoopy Vs. The Red Baron" , which is the greatest and strangest Christmas song there is.

Right, it's "What Child is This?" Thanks.

Also, here's a good one that I forgot about. It's called "Mr. Heat Miser". If you don't know what it is listen to it, and tell me what you think of it.

Ooof, I keep forgetting the CAPTCHAs have five letters now... Holly says "bnpnx".

Christmas is over now . . . but I like Santa Tell Me, by Ariana Grande :)

In my family we celebrate the 12 days of Christmas, so it's not over for us!
