HELP! AUDITION!

HELP! AUDITION!

I am auditioning for Peter Pan and have never been to an audition before! I will be one of about 200 kids auditioning for a thirty-role play. Also I have a monologue that I am supposed to do, but have never done a monologue either. Tips, anyone? Please reply ASAP, the audition is ten days away. (Why didn't I think of writing about this on Cricket earlier?!)

Whoa. I have been in some auditions, but none that big! Well, something else you might be asked to move across the stage (or area).

Well it might help to calm down! Take a deep breath and let it out. And just pretend that when you are auditioning that no one is there.:) 8)

Thanks... I was really panicked all of a sudden when I posted this thread. A monologue is a really short acting piece (mine's about a minute and a half long) that you do yourself so that the people doing the auditionioning (the auditors) can see how well you are at acting. Also, does anyone know, where do you audition? On stage or what?

Normaly you would audition a the floor. I have only auditioned on astage twice. And I have been on over 100auditions. And trust me the most people I ave seen in an audition room is 5.And on the monologue : stick with it! If it works don`t change! Well have fun and don`t act nervous!

Just pretend that you're talking to your best friend and everything will be fine.

I auditioned yesterday; it was really fun! At the last minute, my best friend decided to audition, too, so that was fun and we went together. I think that I did really well, but I won't know for two more days whether or not I got in. Don't worry, I'll tell as soon as I know! :) I can't get the smiley face thing at the top of the page to work. Basically, we went in groups of ten and each did our monologue individually and then we all lined up on stage and learned a couple of dance steps (the play has music and dancing in it) and then we sang Row, Row, Row, Your Boat to see if everyone could sing on tune. I can tell you, though while I was singing well, there was definitely someone who could NOT sing on tune. Couldn't tell who, though. Keep you updated! :):):):)

Well, guys, I did do great (at least both my friends said so) but unfortunately I didn't quite make it.YellCry Neither did the friend I went with, but I have a sneaking suspicion she is not nearly as disapointed as I am. A couple of other people I know got in though, so I will go see them perform in January. The upside is, the theater people I auditioned for are doing another play with auditions in the spring, so I will go do that and hope I get to perform in their June production. Oh, and I heard that they are actually going to fly Peter Pan and Wendy across the stage! That will be cool to see.

Little note: I seem much more happy thatn I am as I write this. :(:(:(
