I was reading some comments in the CB guide and I saw that there was some talk about making an Admin Appreciation Day, was that ever done? If so, what's the date?

Admin Appreciation Month is August, I believe. It consists of weekly events and, on the very last day, a Day of Silence to give the admins a break.
