Musicals!

Does anyone else absolutely love musicals? How many have you seen? How many have you listened to the soundtrack but haven't actually seen them?

I've seen five* musicals: The Lion King, Waitress, School of Rock, The Wizard of Oz, and Wicked. I've listened to Hamilton, Heathers, Mean Girls, SIX, and Beetlejuice. I've also seen the movie for School of Rock, The Lion King, Mean Girls, and The Wizard of Oz. All of them are really, really good, but my absolute favorite is probably Hamilton. The way that the lyrics are written with all these little hidden rhymes and refrences is just amazing.

Mean Girls (the movie, I haven't seen the musical) is absolutely amazing. It's this dramatized version of high school and how difficult it is to manage your life while not hurting others.

Also Janis and Damian are hilarious.

*I've seen a lot of plays. For example, James and the Giant Peach, Ghost, Shrek (not the musical). I wasn't sure if those counted because they didn't have any music in it. This also counts for all the Disney movies I've seen that have music in them.

Ahhh, yes, musicals are the best.

Some musicals I've seen are Mama Mia (the movie and play), Little Shop of Horrors, and Hairspray. Those are my favorites, because of the music in them.

I love Mean Girls! It's my favorite musical and movie. Matilda the Musical is also really good, although Im not sure why they made up that weird story about Ms. Honey's parents. I like how clever the school song is (so you think that you are A-ble to escape this mess by B-ing a prince or a princess you will soon C there's no escaping trage-D). I have watched other musicals too, such as Fiddler on the Roof, and my favorite play is The Play That Goes Wrong. It's a play . . . that goes wrong. It's really funny. For example, there is this one scene where a character says something at the beginning and later he is supposed to say a different line, but he keeps forgetting so they do the scene over and over again, faster and faster, until he remembers.

"She doesn't even go here!"

Also, when I read the third Percy Jackson book and something happened and I don't want to spoil it, my brain went "I see stars . . . so many stars tonight!" My brain also went "Will she braid your hair, will she eat your heart?" at a certain point in the third book of Magnus Chase.
