Procreate?

I received an iPad for my birthday, and just downloaded Procreate on it. I haven’t really used Procreate before, and I’m kind of overwhelmed! So, does anyone else use Procreate? Do you have any tips for a beginner? What canvas size should I use? What are y’all’s default brushes? Are there any features I should know about? I’m a complete beginner, so. Thanks for any help!

I haven't even downloaded Procreate, but I would like to know if the app is worth the money. I am thinking drawing a book cover for an Inkwell story, creating an awesome animation, and just drawing more detailed pictures than the drawing app I already have (Simple Paint).
