Song lyrics that

Chatterbox: Pudding's Place

Song lyrics that

Song lyrics that speak to you

The title is pretty much all the description this needs, honestly. You can post lyrics that feel like they describe you, lyrics that get stuck in your head for hours, lyrics that you want to illustrate and put on your wall, lyrics that perfectly describe a feeling you've experienced, or more!

Here are some of mine:

"Sometimes you get in so deep / it seems easier to just swim down." -It's Quiet Uptown from Hamilton

"Lies are truth and truth is fiction / Everyone's talking, who's gonna listen?" -March March by the Chicks

"We have to make this moment last / Scratch that, this is not a moment, it's the movement!" -My Shot from Hamilton

I'm sure I'll think of more as soon as I post this thread, but those will do for now. :)

What song lyrics speak to you?

"It hurts just to wake up/whenever you're wearing thin/Alone on the outside/So tired of looking in/The end is uncertain/And I've never been so afraid/But I don't need a telescope/to see that there's hope/And that makes me feel brave" - Tidal Wave, Owl City

"I/I see You in the days gone by/Your promise never left my side/I know sometimes I try to give up/still You caught me when I fell from high/I/I see You in the days gone by" - Days Gone By, Y+F

There’s a song in my heart, I feel like I belong. It a better place since you came along. - Better Place by Rachel Platten

My power’s turned on starting right now I’ll be strong, I’ll play my fight song. - Fight Song by Rachel Platten

The entire song North by Sleeping at Last

I have written a few songs myself, just ask if you want to hear them sometime uwu

Well, I fought with a stranger and I met myself
I opened my mouth and I heard myself

It can get pretty lonely when you show yourself
Guess I could have made it easier on myself
But I, I could never follow
No I, I could never follow

The long way around by the Chicks

I love this one too!

"Lies are truth and truth is fiction / Everyone's talking, who's gonna listen?" -March March by the Chicks

and

Love is the answer
At least for most of the questions in my heart
Like why are we here? And where do we go?
And how come it's so hard?

It's not always easy and
Sometimes life can be deceiving
I'll tell you one thing
It's always better when we're together

Better Together by Jack Jhonson

and

Somehow, we end up on the same side
And you wouldn't think that we'd be alright
Even our eyes are different colors, but we see fine

Why by Sabrina Carpenter

Sorry, that was a lot, and I have a lot more.

"A hundred bad days make a hundred good stories

A hundred good stories make me interesting at parties"

- 100 Bad Days, AJR

"There's a man I've never met before who looks a lot like me

There's a little place called heaven that I'll probably never see

There's a thing called peace of mind that I have never known

I've got a long way to get before I get back home"

- A Long Way to Get, Bob Schneider

"How long 'til my soul gets it right

Can any human being ever reach that kind of light

I call on the resting soul of Galileo king of night vision

King of insight"

Also, later in the song:

"If we wait for the time 'til all souls get it right

Then at least I know there'll be no nuclear annihilation in my life time

I'm still not right"

- Galileo, Indigo Girls. Actually, I love all the lyrics for the whole song

"Well, I've been afraid of changin'

'Cause I've built my life around you

But time makes you bolder

Even children get older

And I'm gettin' older, too"

- Landslide, Fleetwood Mac

"I've been a long time gone now

Maybe someday, someday I'm gonna settle down

But I've always found my way somehow

By taking the long way

Taking the long way around"

- The Long Way Around, The Chicks

Anyways, that was a lot, and there are still many, many more that I could have put. Actually, I have one more long one:

"This is how it works

You're young until you're not

You love until you don't

You try until you can't

You laugh until you cry

You cry until you laugh

And everyone must breathe

Until their dying breath.

No, this is how it works

You peer inside yourself

You take the things you like

Then try to love the things you took

And then you take that love you made

And stick it into some

Someone else's heart

Pumping someone else's blood

And walking arm in arm

You hope it don't get harmed

But even if it does

You'll just do it all again"

- On the Radio, Regina Spektor. Regina Spektor's songs make me sad because they all remind me of old times, but in a good way. They used to get stuck in my head when I was going through a rough time, but I really love them a lot.

Love doesn’t discriminate/Between the sinners and the saints/It takes and it takes and it takes

-Wait for It from Hamilton

Just because everything’s changing/Doesn’t mean it’s never been this way before

-The Call by Regina Spektor

You only fail if you never try/And you’ll never live trying not to die

-Start Over by The Afters

Here we go in this crazy life/Cause don’t you know, we’re all a little insane sometimes

-Insane Sometimes by Grace Vanderwaal

You might get love for it/Or get hate for it/You get nothing if you wait for it

-The Room Where It Happens from Hamilton

There’s probably more, but it’s late, so imma stop now.

This is such a good idea!

Then you're left in the dust / unless I stuck by ya / you're the sunflower / I think your love would be too much

- Sunflower. This might be my favorite song of all time, because it just makes me so happy. I remember listening to it when it only had like 50,000 views on online because I just really liked Spider-Verse

She used to spend her nights / by firelight / singing to the stars / now she's ours

- City of Orphans (Classic Crime). This is such a beautiful song, and not that many people know this band. I think veryone should take a couple minutes to listen to it, because it's so good.

I hear in my mind / all these voices / i hear in my mind / all these words / I hear in my mind / all this music / and it breaks my heart

- Fidelity (Regina Spektor). This song and this line is the reason why I named myself Fidelity. I'm so happy other people put Regina Spektor songs!

"If I am just a girl / can I change lives? / If i am trying, if I am nothing, I think I can."

Daydreamers- AURORA

"Don't forget who you are even though you are hurt"

The River-  AURORA

"Often I am upset / that I cannot fall in love just yet / but I guess it saves the stress of falling out of it" I relate to this sometimes.

This is Home- cavetown

"When the last trees have fallen / and the rivers are poison / you cannot eat money, oh no." It's true.

The Seed- AURORA

"I'm sick of faking diary entries / Got to get it in my head, I'll never be sixteen again / I'm waiting to live, and waiting to love / Oh it'll be over and I'll still be asking when"

When- dodie

And all the Hamilton ones people said.
