It's pouring outside.

Chatterbox: Pudding's Place

It's pouring outside.

It's pouring outside. Rain spatters down on your yellow slicker, wet enough without you splashing through the puddles that dot the sidewalk. But, you think to yourself, wouldn't sidestepping around them take more time? You stop your pursuit of your house to think about this. But you come up with no answer, and end up getting more soaked by standing there. Finally, you reach the porch. Fumbling to insert the key, you spot a flash of red behind you and hear footsteps. Swiveling around, you see nothing, and open the door. Weird. 15 minutes later, you are toweled off and preparing to attack your Croatian homework. You crack open the laptop that sits on your desk, and jump back when a cream-colored envelope flutters out. You nervously look around, and pick up the envelope. You turn it over. A red, fancy sticker holds it in place. Peeling the sticker off, you pull out the two pieces of paper. You start with the first.

Thank you Agent Winter! Sorry, I was in a rush.

AND NOW, THE ZERAVINCA SKI LODGE BEGINS.

Darkling woke up with a start. "Agh!" She wiped the trail of drool from her chin and palm and gazed outside at the calm sky. Adjusting the digital clock by her bedside table, she discovered that it was a couple minutes after midnight. She picked up her sci-fi novel and flipped to where she left off. Even though she should have been off in dreamworld at this time, she didn't want to miss the taxi, or train, or whatever mode of transportation she would be taking to The Zeravinca. She wasn't sure that it would come in the night, but Ski Lodges were supposed to be mysterious, and showing up during lunch wasn't mysterious in the slightest. Just then, the shriek of a bike bell broke the silence. Time to go, she thought to herself. She grabbed her backpack and headed out, running back into her room only to grab her glasses just in case and turn off the lights. Outside, a figure wearing the traditional doorman outfit was perched on top of an antique bicycle. Attached to it was a larger version of a luggage cart. Glass doors were attached to it so the CBers in it didn't fall out. The figure spoke.

"Hello Darkling. Welcome aboard. Please, put yourself and your bags into the bell man cart behind me."

She obliged and climbed into the cart.

Moonlight ripped her earbuds out. The opening notes to "Guns and Ships" poured out into the cart.

"Oops! Sorry, I'll turn that off," she apologized to the other Chatterboxers that occupied the cramped space. 9 pairs of eyes swiveled over to her in unison, taking the attention off Darkling. Grateful, she smiled at Moonlight. Moonlight barreled on, not noticing this feat of thankfulness.

"Oh, this is just SO odd! Exciting, but odd. Ooh, I'm just so excited to get to know all of you!"

Several introverted CBers blinked in amazement. No one said a thing. Used to having people not respond to her, a sympathetic Jade exclaimed, "It really is! I'm excited too, but I'm mostly excited to see if there are any good views of the sky." She gestured to her telescope and exclaimed, "I'm a bit of an astronomy nerd!" then laughed hysterically because she, JADE, was anything but a nerd. Intrigued by this last bit, Hollyshock started to ask what type of telescope she had, but was inturpted by the nauseating sensation she got when she climbed the hill on a rollercoster. She and Darkling looked around frantically. "Oh no, not again!" Holly cried. Doodlegirl reached over to comfort her. "Don't worry, we're perfectly safe." Quill noticed Darkling's quzzical and frightened look, and explained, "It seems that The Manager seems to be a bit magical. We think they've been using their magic to fly us to the hotel." "Yeah, isn't it EXCITING?" Ace intergected. "No!" Darkling wailed. "It's going to be fine," Mistia proclaimed. She took out her journal, therefore ending the conversation, and everyone followed suit, occupying themselves unitl the whole contraption settled on the ground in front of a showy, glowing, neon decorated building. The Manager shooed them all out of the luggage cart and assured them, "I'll get your bags later." They stumbled into the lobby and were greeted by 10 familiar faces and 3 new ones. The Manager stood on top of a big desk, and boomed, "Chatterboxers, welcome to the Zeravinca hotel."

Sorry it was so long XI!

Agent Winter woke up in a pale icy blue room with white furnishings. How posh, she thought to herself. She put on her ninja socks and slipped outside her room. Quiet. She looked down the hallway and assessed her suroundings. At the very end there was an elevator, staircase, and firepole for the thrill seekers. There were two other doors occupying the corridor, one light silver with copper speckles, the other dark purple and black. They all overlooked a fancy lobby with a big fountain. To prevent them from falling over, The Manager had put up a golden barrier. If she poked her head through the thin pillars she could she the floor beneath her, this one holding a blue and red door, an paint spattered one, and a lucky red one with gold accents. A "well-this-is-odd" voice made her jump.

"Win, Win, Win. I knew you were weird, but I didn't think this was the first thing I'd see you doing on this vacation." AW swiveled her head and laughed. "Hey, Lumi. For your information, I'm looking at the colors on the doors. They're all different, can't you see?" Luminescence layed down and peeked over. "You're right! This setup is so weird. It's like a bunch of balconies on top of each other." "Right?" Suddenly two of the doors opened, the blue and red one and the speckled one. A freshened-up DoodleGirl emerged from the painted one and Barnswallow, looking a bit more like Agent Winter (who had thrown on some socks and decided she was ready to face the world) came out of the blue and red one. They waved at each other, oblivious to the two CBers watching the from above, and headed towards the elevator, stairs, and firepole. Doodlegirl paused, debating in her head about which to take. Barnswallow opted for the elevator, walked in, and waved see-you-later. Finally, Doodle grabbed on to the firepole, held on tight, and slid down.

"I guess we should go downstairs too," Lumi said. Win agreed, and they both took turns sliding down the railing on the staircase.

When they finally walked into the ornate dining room, every other CBer and Æ were sitted at a long table filled with food. Grace shoveled pancake after pancake into her mouth, salivitating at the deliciousness. PygmyOwl, seated next to her, turned away in disgust, but was laughing. The only free spots were next to Shaow, seated in the middle, and Luminara. Luminescence opted to sit next to Shaow. Agent Winter made her way over to Luminara, who was reading a thick book about the Constitution.

"Hi Lumi! What're you reading?" This was a stupid question, since The Constitution was written in big letters on the front, but she figured this would be the only way to get Luminara to open up. "Oh! Um, a book about the Founding Father's struggle with writing the Consitution. And, um, since Luminescence is here, can you call me Nara instead of Lumi? And, maybe, you know...spread it around? I already told Moonfrost when she asked me about my book, but I don't know if she told anyone..." Agent Winter heartily agreed. "Of course! You'll see, everyone'll be calling you Nara by the end of the day."

Lumi pulled her chair out and was preparing to sit down on it. Perfect, Shaow thought. She slipped a whoopee cushion onto the embroidered seat and giggled. Lumi sat down. Blarp! It was perfect. The giggle turned into a full out laugh, and it kept going until she was out of breath. Moonfrost was shaking her head at her. Not good. Luckily for Shaow, a punk-rocking looking lady wearing rollerskates screeched to a halt in front of the table before she could get in too much trouble.

"Hey there! I'm Roxie, and I'll be your cook and server for your entire stay here! Now, if anyone has any allergies, I'd like you to tell me now. We don't want you having an allergic reaction!"

Several people raised their hands. The murderer payed close attention and wrote notes on their hand. This is good info, they thought. Well, good for me. For them? Mwahahaahhaa. For them, it's not good at all.

End of Day 2, Part One! Sorry it was so long! Thanks Admin, for reading this >_<
