Chatterbox: Pudding's Place

You're walking home

You're walking home from school on a beautiful fall day.  The sky is blue, the weather is pleasantly cool, and the leaves of the maple trees lining the sidewalk are brilliant shades of orange and yellow.  You breathe in the crisp air and wonder how you're going to write the history essay you were assigned for homework when you ahve no idea what to write about.  The prompt was to choose a time period and "explore" it in writing, whatever that means.  At least it isn't due for two weeks, you think.

Coming up on the street is your favorite cafe and you can smell the mouth-watering scents of coffee and fresh-baked pastaries.  You can't resist, so you walk inside.  The bell on the door jingles as you push it open and walk into the cafe.  There are tables all around and local art decorates the walls.  You order a hot chocolate at the counter and sit down to wait.  Soon enough a waiter brings it to you, piping hot, along with a cream-colored, sealed envelope.  You start to tell the waiter that the envelope isn't yours, but he has disapeared.  On closer examination, the envelope has your name printed on the front in swirling calligraphy.  Curious, you tear it open.   Out slides a sheet of paper that reads:

Dear Friend,

You are invited to a week of vacation at my home, the Traveling Mansion.  If you choose to accept, you will be able to experience wonders you've only dreamed of.  You will explore beyond the gates of time.  And you'll have lots of fun with your fellow CBers!  Please bring no companions, and fill out this form if you will be coming.

Name: PygmyOwl

Pronouns: She/her/hers

Appearance: I feel like I might want to change my CB appearance to something not so close to my real self. But for now:

I am sort of tall for my age. I am pretty skinny, with long legs and feet that are really too big for my liking. I have hair that is finally reaches definitely past my shoulders and is sometimes-sort of-not-really-curly. And blueish-grayish-greenish-who knows what elseish eyes. I will be wearing a forest green tunic with black leggings and brown, ankle-high boots.

Personality: Shy, and introverted, but I can be less so around my friends. I love reading, writing, acting, and my flute. Also, I am pretty creative and I stand up for what I think is right. I am pretty opinionated. I am an INFP-T, according to my last Meyers-Briggs test a mew months ago.

What You're Packing: A copy of The Book Thief, and one of The Hobbit, and Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, and book about phoenixes for research. And a purple e-reader with a complete collection of Agatha Christie's novels and short stories. Likewise, for research. Assorted clothes and toiletries, my flute and sheet music, most importantly a book of Les Mis songs. Dream/poetry/random thoughts notebook. NaNo notes notebook. Extra notebook just in case. Purple fountain pen. Retractable pencil w/ extra graphite. A very old Macbook. A flashlight. A raincoat and boots, because why not? And a very large suitcase because I am, obviously, an over packer.

Where in History You'd Most Like to Visit: Anytime when the Earth isn't so polluted that it is in danger of turning into a huge ball of slush. People have been asking me this question a lot recently. I wonder why?

And the formatting is going to come out oddly. It always does. *sigh*
