You unzip your coat and look around you in wonder. The snow that had lain on the ground for months is finally melting, new grass blades are poking their tips up from the soil, and the clouds are disappearing. You open the door of your house to go back in, before realizing that the weather is too nice to stay inside. You turn around and continue down the street. A soft, gentle breeze whistles through the budding tree branches and you smile and close your eyes in bliss. Suddenly, you open them again as something smacks into your face. You peel it off and look at it, about to throw it away. But something stops you. Instead, you look at the object. It's a piece of paper. No, an envelope. A slightly stained, old-looking one, but still an intact envelope just the same. You see a faded name on it and peer more closely to read it. It's your name! You rip it open with growing curiosityand pull out an abnormally thick sheet of paper. It reads,

~Storya and Poetina

You read over the letter again, look around you to mark the exact spot where the letter hit you, and head home to fill out the form in the letter. You skip along the roadside giddily, happily anticipating a camping trip to the Moonlight Forest, wherever that is. What you don't notice is another piece of paper on the sidewalk behind you, crumpled and muddy. It's marked by a large blot in a red substance that looks suspicously like blood. If you turned around to look, you might have been able to tell that the marking on the paper looked quite a lot like a bear pawprint...

This is my first ski lodge! Feel free to guess me. Also, this ski lodge is a little different than most in that there will be clues that you can solve to find the murderer, and you can recommend things to me that you want your story-self to do. There are 10 slots and I'll start on Dec. 20, unless the slots become full before that.

Day 3, Part 2

*

Sterling sat on her bed in the Bear Cabin, staring down at her hands. Her cabinmates were on their beds, too, or at least the ones who were still alive. Storya and Poetina and postponed the scavenger hunt and sent them to their cabins so they could speak alone. Everyone was extremely bored, but they could here the sounds of yelling and thumping from the Cougar Cabin, so apperantly those CBers had found something to do. The Wolf Cabin was nearly silent, as was the Bear Cabin. Suddenly, Silver thrust the door open. Sterling jumped, and saw that Juni was standing, looking awkward, behind Silver. "W-what...?" Kitty looked up from her notebook. "We should go snoop around!" Silver exclaimed, ahint of pride concealed behind her words. Lumi shot the girl an incredulous look. "Remember where your last idea got NoOne?" Silver looked chastened for a moment, but then she replied swiftly, "We'll be fine. Besides, we'll just be in Storya and Poetina's room." "But, aren't they there right now?" Kitty asked, putting their notebook on their nightstand. "No!" Silver exclaimed happily. "I watched them leave. They went into the forest." "But if they left," Sterling countered sensibly, "shouldn't we just do as they said and stay in the cabins?" "Silver shrugged nonchalantly and turned away. "If you're going to come, then come," she said. "If you're not, then whatever." Lumi stayed on her bed stubbornly, but Sterling reluctantly followed Kitty out the door, shooting an I'm sorry look at Lumi as she exited the log building. "What about the Cougar Cabin?" Sterling asked Silver, jogging to catch up with the girl's swift strides. "They opted out," Silver shrugged. "They were having too much fun playing-what was it called?" she turned to Juni, an inquiring look on her face. "I think moon kitsune said it was called floorball, or something," Juni replied, tilting her head wistfully as if she would've liked to play as well. "Yeah, floorball," Silver relayed to Sterling. Then, the group continued across the worn packed-earth paths towards the cafeteria. Storya and Poetina's room rested on top of the cafeteria, like a bird's nest in a tree.

*

Juni looked around the interior of the room. It was identical to the room they'd seen in the dream-vision, with its worn gray carpet and graying log walls. She glanced around again, and spotted a floor-to-ceiling bookshlef filled with dusty, old-looking books with faded leather covers, most of them embossed in gold filigree and lettering. She stepped forward and was about to pull out a dark blue-black book that had a shimmery gold stripe on its spine when Sterling knocked her hand away. "We don't know how much of this could be dangerous," she hissed worriedly. Juni looked at her friend and wondered what could have made her so paranoid, but she dropped her hand quickly. Sterling drifted away, distracted by a huge, shallow marble basin. A dark-purple ink-like liquid swirled and convulsed inside. The other CBers gathered around, too, and stared in fascination and revulsion at the way the viscous fluid moved. It was disgusting and captivating at the same time. Kitty shook themself and stood up from they'd been squatting. They dusted off themself and studied the floor. On closer look, the carpet on the floor wasn't actually gray. It was a pale, spring green color, dirtied through the ages. "Look," they beckoned the others down so they could see it, too. "I wonder why they'e never cleaned it," Silver wondered aloud. Before anyone could supply their theories, Sterling shrieked. "They're coming back!" she cried. "Hurry, everyone out! We have to get out of here, quick!"

*

The CBers doubled over, panting, in the Bear Cabin. They'd only just barely made it before Storya and Poetina emerged from the forest. "Well-" Sterling gasped, "that was lucky." Kitty smiled at her ruefully. "We should go get some water from the cafeteria," they said, sensibly. The other CBers nodded. "Too bad we didn't find anything," Silver said, a little sadly. "Hey," Sterling smiled, "we should race to the cafeteria! Only rule is no sabotaging others." The others seemd a bit excited at that, despite being tired and out of breath. "Sure!" Juni agreed. Kitty and Silver nodded, too, and Sterling guided them all to a spot on the path. "5...4...3...2...1...go!" She set them all dashing in different directions. The 'only one rule' concept seemed to have invited the CBers to take whatever way they thought was fastest.

*

Once they'd all reached the cafeteria and gotten ice-cold glasses of water from Karina, the CBers sat at a table outside. However, just as Kitty was about to take a deep swig of their water, there was a scream from the Cougar Cabin. "Oh, no!" Dragon could be heard exclaiming. The CBers exchanged quick looks and dashed oof, leaving their water on the table. moon kitsune stood in the doorway, an orange rubber ball sitting on the ground beside him. His hands covered his mouth, his eyes were wide, and his face was pale. "What is it?" Juni asked, concerned. "L-look for yourself," he whispered, pointing into the cabin. Dragon had plopped onto his bed and was staring across the room, where Quill's prone, bloody figure lay on the bed.

Dead: Luna-Starr, NoOneKnows, Quill

Suspects: Iyan, Silver, Juni, moon kitsune, Sterling

It's a tad bit short this time because I've been super busy. Tell me if you think anyone should get removed from the suspects list. Also, any more, smaller choices you want made?

Oh no! I'm dead! I wonder how I died... I don't think it was Dragon or moon kitsune, since they would be the most obvious suspects.
