I was digging through Pudding's Place when I found Rose bud's "Writing/Art Contest!" and thought it was a really good idea! So, I'm gonna make one.

Here's how it works:
1. sign up as either an artist or an author.
2. on the 10th (or possibly sooner, whatever) I will assign each CBer a partner. There will be one author and one artist in each group.
3. There will be groups of two rounds. The groups will be judged on both partners' abilities. In the first semi-round, the author will post a short story. (Try to keep the stories under 1000 words) Then, the artist will draw a picture from the story. For the second semi-round, the partners will switch, with the artist posting a picture first, and the author writing a story for the picture.
Rules:
You can request other CBers as your partner.
We won't start until we have perfect two-person teams.
I will periodically post lists of all the authors, artists, and requested teams that we have.
Well, that's it! I'll post anything I've forgotten later, and make sure to ask me if you have any questions.

So... I had a good idea. Fallen Leaf, you can stay as an author, since that's your preferred placement. I will be an artist, and I will get my brother to rate my drawing out of 10 points (the same way I'll judge each piece of art and story). If you have an objection to this plan or you spot a problem, let me know and I'll fix it. Otherwise, I'll out the remaining people into groups and start the contest.

That sounds fair to me. Also, @Wree, will there be prompts/themes for each round? There doesn't have to be, but it's always easier for me to have a general idea of what to write beforehand :)

I agree with Silver, that sounds fair! I also think that prompts would make it easier, since it'd be difficult to write or draw something when you have so many options. :)

Right, so looking at the last list there was one artist and two writers. Fallen Leaf said they might decide to be an artist. If they did decided to be an artist, I'm open to being a writer to balance the scales, since I don't really like sharing my art.
Tell me if that didn't make sense, I'm terrible at wording. XD

Yeah, that would be fine with me. The only reason I said I preferred writing was because I'm better at writing than art (in my opinion) but I enjoy both and I don't think I'm really bad at art either. I just can't draw humans very well. I can still try, though! Once again, I'm flexible. Whatever's easier for you.

I know several people have asked this but... no, there will not be a theme. You are free to write whatever you wish!
We are starting now, so authors, go ahead and write your stories. If you wish, you can communicate with your partners to figure out what you want the stories to be about. Stories are due by the 17th. That'll give you lizards a week. If you need more time, I can give it. Artists, once your partner's story is in, you can submit your art (which is due by the 27th). Please make the art relate to the story in some way. It can even be a scene from the story, if that's what you want to draw. You can color your drawings, leave them black and white... whatever you want. Once again, you can communicate with your partners. You can also post WIPs if you want.
