More written picturings - but this time by Amethyst! I really like the idea, and I'd like to try some of my own. Hopefully no one will have too long a wait for their picturing...

Sterling:

The emerald meadows, spangled with flowers, stretch away from you. A very few trees are scattered over the land, and from their shade a few shy deer look at you. The sky has only one soft white cloud in it.

You revel in the peace of the place, then look up at the azure sky, like the deepest sea. Your gaze goes to the cloud - and you stare, transfixed.

The cloud is moving, swiftly, like a banner blown by the wind. First it grows into a tall figure, who looks down on you with a smile; then it suddenly turns into a horse, shining with the sun, a sunset horse in the clear skies. What surprises you is how clear-cut the lines of the horse are - not puffy as cloud shapes usually are. And this is not a shape. This is alive. You see an expression in its fiery eyes, you hear something like a neigh ripple through the meadow, you see its mane ripple as it tosses its head. Then, with in indescribable motion, it becomes real, and gallops down from the sky. It races like silver lightning through the meadow, and in an instant is by your side. You have never seen anything so magnificnent.

It drops its head a little. "I am born of the Elements," it says. Its voice is strong and powerful, but its brown eyes are gentle. "Every child knows me once, but then - they forget, because they are mortals. Come, my child, and I will take you to the Vale of Dreams."

Suddenly you are on its back, and you are off together. You go like the wind, and before you know it you are in a valley with strong, clear sunshine and a fragrance like the sweetest flowers there could ever be.

For a long time you and the wilver horse are togther, and it is a half-hour that will change you - forever.

And then, like a dream, they have disappeared.

WiLdSoNg:

You look around. Old, crumbling stone walls, covered with moss and ivy, and a few arches still standing. Why did you never find this place before? Silently you pass through it. Ages ago it must have been a castle. Soft gray clouds, harsh gray walls, and emerald ivy leaves that have wrapped their secrets close to the stones they cover - that is all that is left. Memories lie thick here, and yet you cannot see them.

Or can you?

Suddenly, a piercing, wild, rising song comes echoing through the air. It twists itself around the castle, around you, and spirals towards the sky. It gives you a strange happiness. You turn. Standing a little way away from you is a girl, probably about eighteen years old, singing. Her head is lifted proudly, and her arms are raised in front of her, facing north. She has curling, flashing auburn hair, steady gray eyes, and a small, clearly defined face. She is wearing a long, dark red dress that falls in thick folds and is fastened by a girdle with swirling designs on it. She seems to hardly see you, and her voice, though sweet, is haunting.

You stare at her. And as she sings, the clouds part. The sun casts misty rays of light over the ruined castle. The song stops, and for the first time the girl looks at you. "I am not a ghost," she assures you. "I am the memory of Castle Eireanne and all of the people who lived there." For a second she seems to shimmer on the air; then she is gone.

You smile suddenly. The girl may be gone, but Castle Eireanne will always hold magic for you.

I hope you like it!

Darkvine:

The golden sunset light floods the world with fire. It strikes trhough the shining leaves, it highlights every slender pine needle, it illuminates everything with the only real gold in the world.

Through the forest, moving through the beauty in silence, is a girl. She has dark brown hair, wavy, that catches the flaming light. Her pointed face and quick, shining green eyes have the expession of one who knows all the secrets of the world - why we are here, who the foxes truly are, how the wind moves. She is one you would trust as soon as you saw her, and she would repay your trust. She is tall and pale, with cheeks faintly flushed with rose. Her sweeping green dress is shining with diamonds and has delicately interoven designs in purple and silver. A black cloak, also with patterns around the edges, swirls behind her. Her hair is not held back, and its only ornament is a single ice-white flower.

She moves like one of the gliding, glinting beams of sunlight, and also like them, she seems to leave the things behind her touched with gold. But the sunset is fading, and its last rays draw away from the forest. The girl watches with a strange expression in her eyes as the sun touches the clouds far above her and cool twilight settles over the land. The birds are singing their last sweet droplets of song, and another day has gone in the world of beauty which surrounds all of us, if we can only see the beauty.

I'm afraid I'm not that good at creepy things... I did my best though! I hope you like it :)

The moon is swathed with swirling clouds, and the bare, pointed branches block what little light it does shed. You shiver in the chilly air. But it isn't the coolness of night that makes you shiver. It's the almost menacing feeling in the air. It's nearer to Halloween than you like to think, and the dark forest is a strangely ghostly place. Although part of you doesn't believe in ghosts, part of you - does.

Suddenly you know with a driving certainty that someone - no, something - is watching you. You whirl around, and your breath catches in your throat. Two glowing, inhuman green eyes look at you from the branches above. You cannot see what creature they belong to, and you don't stop to look. You start running, terrified and panting.

A little way away you stop and draw a deep breath. You must have imagined it. But in your heart you know you didn't.

Something brushes against you.

You scream and almost run again, but you force yourself to stop and take a closer look. The same green eyes look up at you, but you see that they belong to a black cat.

You aren't very reassured, and backing away from it a little, you look warily around. A slightly shining white something catches your eye. You gasp. Whatever it is, it's gliding toward you through the dark, bare, clashing trees.

Somehow you can't run away. Even if it's a ghost. And what else could it be?

Then a girl glides into the clearing, and you nearly die from relief. She's wearing a softly shining silver dress - she's your "ghost". Even when the cat goes over to her, you aren't afraid. Her deep brown eyes are comforting. She has black hair, thick and straight, fastened with a dark green brooch.

She smiles. "You see," she says, "it is not the forest you should fear. You frighten yourself."

You nod. In your heart, you know the maiden's right. The cat looks at you wisely with its deep green eyes. Then it and the girl have vanished - vanished away into the forest that you do not fear.

Hawkstar:

There is no sound except for the soft splash and sigh of water against the ship's sides. Huddled in your cloak, you sit on the deck of your boat and look up at the night skies. One star, bright and shining, draws your attention. It was in the sky when you were born; ever since then, you have seen it every night. It was your grandmohter who told you about it; even now you can almost see her proud, eagle-like face and hear her strong voice: "It is the Hawkstar, child. The Hawkstar, that has always shone for our family... you, your parents, and I have been born under it, have sailed uner it, and will die under it. We are the Hawkstar's family. It is said that it is really a young girl, our guardian, who will someday come down to us. Perhaps that is true; perhaps not. But whatever it is, be sure that it will guide you always."

The whisper of the waves, the shining of the stars, and memories slipping back to memories. You smile. While the Hawkstar shines, you are happy.

I'm afraid it's a bit short... hope you enjoy it

May I have one please? I'd like one as you imagine me and my pronouns are she/her. If you could throw in something about books and/or pens that would be great, but if not, that's fine as well.
