*squee!* For my

*squee!* For my birthday my parents got me tickets to Wicked!! It's in Philadelphia, this Saturday... I am excited. :D

I already had the CD (Kristen Chenowith/Glinda/Galinda = teh pwnsomeness <3, and Idina Menzel and Joel Gray and NLB as well, but to a slightly lesser extent) and now I'm reading the book (Mom finally said I could). It's flamabulous.

*quietly dances*

Ooo Happy Birthday! Sings loudly. For she's a jolly good fellow...

You're going to see Wicked? I haven't seen many plays except Beauty and the Beast, but I've seen a lot of high-school ones. Grease, The Emperor's New Clothes, The Frog Princess, Jonah and the Whale,, The Snow Queen, Footloose, 100 Dresses. (I could go on and on, seriously)

But anyway, Happy Birthday!

100 dresses?  Is that based on the book?

Happy birthday! Enjoy Wicked!

((Incidentally, the Forbidden Broadway sporking of Wicked is brilliant.

"Idina, listen to me... We can still be friends, just say you're sorry... and hand over the Tony to me..."

"WHAT?"

"[cough] I mean, Stephen Schwartz could use that Tony/For he's never won before/You could save a starving writer..."

"I know."

"Trust my wisdom..."

"No."

Yes, I am geeky enough that I find this funny enough to laugh aloud. Silence!))

*ahem* Regardless. Have a good time!

Thanks, guys. :) And what's Forbidden Broadway?

So, I just got back, and omigosh, it was *amaaaazing*. I can't think of one bad thing about it. "Popular" was *hilarious* (as a rule, Galinda was just too funny for words), and "Defying Gravity" and "No Good Deed" were incredible. I'd never heard "The Wicked Witch of the East" before, because it isn't on the CD, but it was actually really sad... *sniffles* Actually, the whole thing was sad, but also very funny. Again, Galinda was probably the best part...

"Good to see me, isn't it? No need to respond, that was rhetoric!"

"Hair flipping." *looks serious* "Watch me." *pause* "Toss, toss!" *tosses hair*

"Ballgown! ...Ballgown! ...NOW!"

"Glinda. The gah is silent."

"They're just shoes. Let it *go*."

And Elphie was very great as well...

"...just been riding that filthy thing around!" *in snarky tone* "Well, not everyone can travel by bubble."

"Imagine, stealing from a dead woman! Were you raised in a barn or something?"

I loved it. <3

Forbidden Broadway... well... makes fun of Broadway, really. It's hilarious, although Quinn doesn't like it because they apparently "ruined" Phantom, Sweeney Todd, and Aida FOREVAH!

"I'm marrying Fiyero!"

"He's asked you already?"

"Oh, he doesn't know yet."

Though she does have her epic moments, arresting Madam Morrible for instance.

Ahh. That's fun. *looks up* Oh, look, there's a whole site... Interesting.

Yes... reprising the "Frankly, I don't think you have what it takes. I hope you'll prove me wrong. I doubt you will" line = win.
