"Harry Potter and

"Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows"!!!!!!

I-went-to-the-midnight-showing-last-night!!!!! I still can't believe it. It was so good--the best one yet. Now only... eight months until part two. Okay, so I remember last year when the Half-Blood Prince came out she wrote the entire plot and put it on here, and I thought that was pretty neat, so I'm gonna try to do the same.

WARNING: Those who haven't yet seen "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part 2" and want it to be a surprise, please do not read the following.

The movie starts with Snape coming to Malfoy Manor. Voldemort is at the head of the table, his deatheaters around it. They are talking about things, and a lady is hanging above the ground, almost crying. Bellatrix says she would love to kill 'the boy' but Voldemort says he must kill him, and Bellatrix slumps back into her seat like a little kid. Then Voldemort says he needs a new wand. He walks around and stops at Lucius. He unwillingly hands over his wand. Voldemort breaks off the snake head and Lucius flinches. Then he says that the person who was joining them (the lady over the ground) works at Hogwarts as a muggles teacher and thinks that wizards should mate with muggles, and deatheaters make disgusted noises. Then Charity Burbage says, "Snape, please. I'm your friend." Voldemort kills her and says, "Nagini, dinner." Scrimgeor  is talking to a large group of people in the ministry of magic. Many pictures are taken of him. The scene skips to Hermione in her bedroom in her home. Close-up of a newspaper on her bed. A picture of a small family with the caption being something like "Muggle family murdered", or "Found dead" or something like that. Then her mum calls her and she goes to the living room. Her parents are on the couch, their backs to her. She take out her wand and points it at them and says "Obliviate". And Hermione suddenly starts disappearing in the pictures around the room. She goes outside and starts walking down the street in her neighborhood. Then it goes to the Dursleys packing up their car and Dudley asking his father why they have to leave. Then it shows Harry looking at them. And then Ron of course. And he's just standing outside, and then Mrs.Weasley says something I couldn't understand. And then Harry lets Hedwig go. Or maybe that comes right before he leaves. I can't remember. And then he's in his room packing a sachel-satchel?. Then he goes and opens his old cupboard under the stairs. He picks up one of the toy soldiers he had been playing with in the first movie. Then he opens the front door and Ron, Hermione, Fleur, Bill, Hagrid, Mad-Eye, Mundungus, Lupin, Tonks, Fred, and George all go into the living room. Bill explains how he got attacked by a nsaty werewolf named Greyback. And Fleur then says how he is still handsome to her. And then Lupin says something that must have been funny, though I couldn't understand it, and Tonks says, "My husband, the joker." And then she starts "Hey, you guys won't believe this. Remus and I-" and then Mundungus Fletcher is introduced, and he says how he's always been a fan of Harry's, and Mad-Eye tells him to be quiet. And Tonks is at the window, looking out into the sky. And then Mad-Eye explains how everyone is going to drink polyjuice. And Harry protests. And then Fred or George says something like "It's not like we want to turn into you", and then Fred or George says " Yeah, what if something goes wrong, and we'll be a specky little git forever". Then Hermione pulls hair out from the back of Harry's head and gives it to Mad-Eye. The potion starts bubbling, and Mad-Eye first gives it to Fred or George, and they both shrink down a lot. And then it's passed to everyone else except Hagrid, Tonks, Lupin, Mad-Eye and maybe Bill doesn't take it. It doesn't work on half-giants, and I guess Tonks could've transformed herself to look like Harry, and I 'spose it doesn't work on werewolves either. I don't know why Mad-Eye didn't take any. Then Lupin looks out the window as well. Fred and George turn to eachother and say, "Hey, we're identical." Then they change their clothes, and Fleur turns away from Bill while taking off an under garment and says "Don't look at me, Bill. I'm hideous." And then they all go outside. There is a bit of talking, then they take off. Everything goes well until they go into this one cloud, and it's complete mayhem. There are deatheaters eveywhere chasing the Order of the Phoenix. Then Hedwig flies near Harry, and a deatheater kills her. Then they hurtle down onto a muggle road. They go into a tunnel, and then the motorcyle flips over and Harry almost falls out and has to run across the top of a bus while holding onto the side car. It was out of control. And then Hagrid bumps his head on something and passes out, so Harry has to drive. And then they're in the air again and Voldemort comes. Harry is almost passing out, too, from the pain I guess. Their wands meet like they did in the Goblet of Fire, and Voldemort falls into an electical line. Harry and Hagrid crash into the Weasley's pond and Hagrid looks at Harry and has this expression on his face I can't describe, but it was kind of funny. They start walking to the house, and Ginny runs out to Harry and says that Tonks and Ron should've already been back. And then Lupin arrives with George/Harry with blood all over his ear. And then he turns all the way into George. Harry puts his arm under George's like Lupin and helps him into the house. Mrs. Weasley sees George and looks very scared. They lay him on a couch. Lupin seizes Harry's shirt and pushes him against a stone wall, points his wand at him as Hagrid exclaims "Lupin!". But Lupin ignores him and asks Harry "What was in the tank the first time you came into my office?" and Harry stutters, and Lupin yells "What was it?" Harry says, "Grindylows," and Lupin releases him. Hagrid asks what that was all about and Lupin explains that the deatheaters knew that Harry was going to be moved that night and that somebody among them betrayed them. Then there's a noise outside and Lupin bounds out the door. In the yard is Tonks and Ron. Then Fleur and Bill arrive on a thestral. Tonks walks fast to Lupin, throws her arms around him and says that Ron was amazing. Hermione turns to Ron and says "You were?" and Ron answers "Always the tone of surprise." Then they all go inside. (Sorry, I forgot when Hermione and Fred and Arthur arrived) Inside, Fred kneels beside George and asks "Georgey, how are you feeling?" "Saint-like." "...What?" George opens his eyes. "Saint-like. I'm holy. Get it? I'm holy." Fred shakes his head "Of all the ear-related jokes in the world and you come up with 'saint-like'... Pathetic." Then Bill cuts to the chase and says that Mad-Eye is dead. And it goes real quiet. And he says that the moment Mundungus took a look at Voldemort, he disapperated. Then it's night and Harry is having a dream of Voldemort cornering a wandmaker and asking him questions, and then a boy on a ledge or windowsill jumps off. And Harry wakes up. He goes outside with his satchel and starts walking away. Then behind him "Going somewhere?" and it's Ron. And Harry says how no one else is going to die, not for him. And Ron says how it's never just been about him, how it's always been about something bigger. "Do you think Mad-Eye died for you?" Then Harry tells him to come with then. And Ron says "And leave Hermione? We wouldn't last two days without her... Don't tell her I said that." And Harry kind of nods. Then Harry walks to Ron and drops his satchel, and Ron picks it up, and they both walk to the house. Next morning, and another close-up of a newspaper. A man is on it that had something to do with Dumbledore. And then someone says "Zip me up" and Harry turns around. Ginny's bare back is to him. Harry walks over and zips the dress up. Ginny turns around and they kiss. Then George comes skipping or running into the room, picks up a tea cup, leans against a counter and looks at them. "Good morning" he says. Sounds not that odd, right? Well, his head is bandaged and a toothbrush is stuck in his ear. It was SO funny. Then it shows them all outside and raising the tent. Now it's night and Harry is walking toward the tent, and Lupin follows him, looking at the sky all the time. Bill and Fleur are dancing. Luna and her dad are dancing, waving their hands around their head. It was cute. It shows some other people. Then Luna comes over to Harry. "Oh, sorry. Did I interrupt a deep thought?" and Harry says no, but she says "No, I can see it slowly fading away in your eyes." and her dad comes over. Luna tells him she had been bitten by a garden gnome. Then he leans close to Harry and talks to him. He is wearing teh Deathly Hallow symbol around his neck. Luna then says, "Come on, dad. Harry doesn't want to talk to us, but he's to polite to say so." Harry sits by Elphias Doge. Behind "You knew Dumbledore?" Harry says. "I thought I did", Doge answers. Then Muriel starts talking about some bad stuff about Dumbledore. Behind her you can see Lupin, Tonks, and Mrs. Weasley talking, and after a few moments Mrs. Weasley claps her hands together and smiles. When she leaves, Tonks and Lupin apparently start talking to one another, using their hands a lot. You can't see their faces, though.  And when Harry seems surprised about what Muriel is saying, she says "Are you sure you knew him [Dumbledore]?" Harry looks troubled and says "I thought I did." Then a patronus comes and Kingsley's voice comes from it saying that the minister is dead and that 'they' are coming. It even shows in the patronus kind of what was goin gon on his end. Then everyone panicks. Ron and hermione run to eachother, and Harry runs to Ginny, but Lupin stops him and pushes him in the other direction, yelling "Go!" Then the trio disapperate onto the middle of a street and nearly get run over by a double-decker bus. Ron says "Let's get off the road and somehwhere safe". Then one of them ask where they are, and Hermione says some place that I can't remember, but that she used to go there with her parents to go to the theatre. They go into an alley and Hermione tells the boys to get dressed and she puts her arm in the teeny bag all the way to her arm pit and takes out their clothes. then there is a clunking noise and Hermione says "that'll be the books". They go into a cafe and the waitress listening to her iPod takes their oder. Hermione says a cappuccino, and Ron says, what she said, and Harry gets one, too. They talk, and then two men come in. One takes out a wand and Harry yells "Down!" right when the deatheater casts a curse at them. A fight starts and then the trio stuns both of em. The lady comes out and Hermione tells her to leave. Then Ron says that he will kill them, and Harry says no because then the others would know they were there. but Ron says, what if that one killed Mad-Eye. So Hermione reluctantly performs the memory wiping charm. Outside, Hermione says "Oh no Harry. We forgot your birthday. Ginny and I baked a cake!" then Harry says how he appreciates the gesture, but they need to worry about other things. And Hermione says "Right. Perspective." Then they go to Grimmauld Place. They sleep there. And the next morning Harry wanders (as usual) and goes into sirius's room. Then the other two come and they go into Regulus Arcturus Black's room, and they realize that that is the initials of RAB, the name in the locket. They read the note again in the kitchen. Then they hear something and it's Kreacher. They ask him if he knows anything about the locket. He finally confesses he has, and that Mundungus Fletcher took it. They tell him to go find him and bring him to Grimmauld Place. While they are waiting, Hermione tries (and fails) to teach Ron a song on the piano. Then Kreacher and Dobby come in, each grabbing on to Mundungus-Kreacher's arms around his head. And then Dobby and Kreacher both start walking on the table, Kreacher starting to tell the story of how they caught Fletcher. Then Dobby cuts in and whenever Kreacher tries to talk, Dobby puts his arm in front of him and continues on with his story. Then they interrogate Fletcher. He says that a lady in pink bought the locket. It fast forwards to Ron on a street. He stuns a man and drags him into a building where two other people are. They take polyjuice potion and go into a bathroom where many other people are. When it comes to their turn, none of them know what to do. Then Ron (as the man he stunned) looks down at Harry and says he thinks that their supposed to flush themselves in. The he says that's bloody disgusting. They flush themselves into the ministry and meet Hermione as the lady she stunned . They look at a statue of muggles holding up wizardsm and repeats what the headstone or whatever says, "Muggles... in their rightful place". and the continue on and go into an elevator. But before they start moving, a man comes and tells Ron that he should fix his raining office, and that his (Ron's) wife is about to be interrogated. So Ron has to go. Then Umbridge turns up and Hermione and Harry freeze up. When Harry doesn't get off, she says, "Aren't you supposed to get off, Albert?" so he does and starts walking down a hallway, his arms stiff. He comes to a room where witches and wizards are doing something with papers. He drops a decoy detonater, which starts multiplying. Then all of a sudden, they explode and Harry goes into Umbridge's office. He looks in drawers, and does not find the locket, but does find these papers with different Oder members on it. Dumbledore and others are crossed off in red. So he goes down to the interrogation room, meeting Ron who is soaked. When they tell Ron to come in, he doesn't, and Harry has to push him in. Then Harry stuns Umbridge, and the dementors start to come down on the lady in the chair. They all run out and the man who told Ron to fix his office comes after them. They get into an elevator and come out in the atrium. The lady kisses Ron right as he turns into himself, and then the real guy shows up and the lady faints. They just make it into a fireplace, and the man comes with. They end up on a forest, the man no longer with them. Ron is splinched and Hermione is trying to quiet him, telling Harry to get a potion from her purse. Harry gives it to her and she fixes Ron. Then it shows Harry and Hermione outside the tent that Hermione has put up. Harry is getting really ticked off about ron always listening to the radio, and gets up to turn it off, but Hermione says don't because it comforts him. They leave a while later, Ron's arm in a sling. In the backround you can hear the radio calling off names of people who have gone missing. They go to another forest. There is the sound of scissors and it shows Hermione giving Harry a hair cut. Then she exclaims, "Oh my gosh," an Harry sharply says, "What?" and puts his hand to the back of his head and asks again, "what?" and Hermione says, "In a second" "Tell me now." So Hermione opens a book and tells him about the sword of Gryffindor. Then a light clicks off and then back on and Ron comes around the corner. "Yeah. I'm still here" and he holds up his deluminater. Then Harry asks him what's the matter and Ron says that he thought they would have achieved something by now. and Harry asks him what part of it wasn't living up to his expectations and had he expected to be back with his Mum by Christmas. Ron says that he listens to the radio to make sure he doesn't hear Fred or George or Ginny's name. and Harry says he understands, but Ron diasgrees and they launch themselves at eachother. Hermione yells stop. Then Ron storms off and Hermione goes after him. The next day, Hermione ties her scarf around a tree, then disapperates with Harry. It's nearly Christmas, and Hermione is listening to the radio. Harry starts dancing with her. The next day Harry tells Hermione he wants to go to Godric's Hollow. She protests, but finally gives in. When they get there, Hermione says that it must be Christams Eve. They look in a graveyard, and Hermione finds a grave with the name Peveril on it, the deathly Hallows sign above it. Harry has found his parent's grave, and he sort of cries. Hermione conjures up flowers to put on it. Then they look at his old house. And old lady is right next to them. She leads them to her house. Once inside Harry asks her who the boy in a certain picture is. She doesn't answer, but leads him upstairs. Meanwhile, Hermione looks at a copy of Rita Skeeter's new book, The Life and Lies of Albus Dumbledore. Upstairs, the lady does nothing than look at Harry. Then she opens her mouth. Camera jumps back to Hermione who opens a door. Flies flying around in it. she looks up and sees blood. She yells for Harry and tries to run upstairs, but trips over books. Upstairs, The lady is no longer there, but a ginormous snake in its place. It laucnches itslef at Harry, who dives away. It coils itself around him, then Hermione comes, and the snake slithers down the stairs. Harry and hermione hide behind a bed. Then the snake comes again, and Hermione uses a spell to burst open the side of the house, and they disapperate again. The next day, Harry asks where his wand is, and Hermione shows him the fragments of it. He tells her to go back inside the tent. That night, Harry sees a doe patronus and follows it to a frozen lake. Bleow the ice he sees the sword of Godric Gryffindor. He takes off his clothes and jumps in. the locket tightens around his neck so he can't breathe. The a hand grabs him and pulls him up. It's Ron, holding the sword. Harry dresses and tells Ron to destroy the horcrux with the sword. Ron reluctantly agrees. Harry opens the locket with parseltongue and Ron lifts the sword. But the locket puts up a fight and it has Voldemort's voice saying stuff to him. And spiders come from it and goes towards Ron. Then a fake Hermione and Harry walk to him, and begin to kiss. Harry yells at him to smash it. So Ron does and it's over. They walk back to the tent where hermione is. She yells at him some. Ron tells the story of how he found him. How a ball of light came out of his deluminater and it had Hermione's voice, so he followed it. Then Harry and Ron are in the bed in the tent. Ron gives Harry a wand he took from a snatcher. Blackthorn, 10 inches. Harry tests it out on a flame inside a jar. "Engorgio" and the flame burts up about 7 feet. Harry quickly says "reducio". Hermione comes inside and says that she wants to go to Xenophilius Lovegood's place. Harry doesn't want to, but Ron says to vote on it. He raises his own hand, but Hermione just looks at him and walks away. Then their near Lovegood's house, and Ron asks something like "are you still angry at me?" and Hermione says she's always mad at him. They meet Xenophilius who isn't too happy to see them. Tehy ask him aboiut the deathly hallows. Hermione reads them the story of the three brothers from her Tales of Beedle the Bard. After that, Lovegood draws the symbol of the Deathly Hallows.  He goes downstairs. It turns out he called deatheaters to catch Harry. He says they took his Loonypoo. That they took his Luna. the trio disapperates. Snatchers are then in the forest. The main snatcher says "Well don't just stand there, snatch them" the trio runs, but get caught. Hermione has put a stinging jinx on Harry so his face is all messed up. The snatchers take them to Malfoy Manor. Bellatrix asks Draco if it really is Harry Potter. He says he can't tell. She notices Hermione holding the sword and asks her where she got it. She orders for Ron and Harry to be put in the cellar. Meanwhile, Bellatrix has her face on Hermione's arm, and Hermione is crying and screaming and kicking her legs. It was very disturbing. Luna and Ollivander come around a corner. Harry takes out a sliver of mirror and says to it, "Help us" and then Dobby appears. Harry asks him if he can apparate inside the cellar, and Dobby says matter-of-factly, "Yes... I'm an elf. Meet me at the top of the stairs in ten seconds." Luna says to Dobby " Whenever you're ready, sir." and Dobby turns to Harry and says "I like her." They apparate. Wormtail comes down and they stun him. He says "Oh" and falls down. They go up the stairs. They try to fight the snatchers. Hermione is laying on the ground. Her skin has been cut on her arm to say "Mudblood". Then Bellatrix screams, "Stop!" and holds a knife to Hermione's throat. Then there is a squeaking noise, and Dobby is unscrewing the chandelir. Bellatrix moves out of the way and lets hermione go. Hermione runs to Ron. Harry, Ron, Hermione, and Dobby are on one side of the room. Bellatrix says to Dobby "You dare disobey your master?" and Dobby straightens up and says "Dobby has no master." Bellatrix throws her knife, and they disapperate--with the knife. They end up on the sand near the ocean. They must be at Shell Cottage. Harry stands up and sees Dobby, his front covered in blood. he falls into Harry's arms. Harry says to Ron and hermione (mostly to Hermione) "Help me". Dobby says "It is a beautiful place. Dobby is happy to be here. Dobby is happy to be here with his friends... and Harry Potter." This is when I started to cry. Then his eyes go still, and speaks no more. Luna comes over and kneels beside him. "Lets close his eyes", and she does. "There. He could be sleeping." Harry looks up and says, "I want to bury him. Without magic." and then he's on a little bit of a hill and is digging a hole. Hermione comes over holding Dobby, who is covered in a white cloth. They put Dobby in the hole and begin to cover him with sand. The screen goes black. Voldemort is at Dumbledore's grave. He cracks it open with a spell. He leans over him and takes his wand. The music goes to a crescendo. Voldemort lifts the wand and sends a jet of light into the air. The screen goes black again. The credits start rolling.

Anyone else seen and loved this movie?! Only eight more months until part two comes out!

Sorry this was so long, Admin. And sorry if this is too difficult to understand, CBers. So many ideas were flowing through my head at one time, and I'm sure I got some of the quotes wrong, and I'm positive I got things mixed up and left out key parts.

I was waiting to see if someone would post something like this! Thanks Hannah!

You must have a really good memory to remember all the small details you put in!

The only part I'm not looking forward to seeing is the end, because I think I'll be depressed for several hours afterward, if not days. :P (Not because it's the end, because it ends with Dobby's death and a triumph for Voldemort.)

And I'm not really looking forward to seeing the Malfoy manner sequence, because from what I heard it seems quite, if well done, disturbing. Am I right?

@Brynne: The scene at Malfoy Manor was disturbing, but it was really well done. Hermione kicking her legs and screaming and crying. It really showed how Watson's a dynamic actor.

Wow.  You have a really good memory.  I've seen the movie three times and can't describe it that well.  But yes, I loved it too!  Obviously I did, since I've already seen it three times..haha.

My favorite part was the Malfoy Manor scene at the end, mostly because their house was EXACTLY how I've always imagined it (pretty much every single little detail was the same!).  And because Bellatrix is amazing.

HBC outdid herself (...again.) in that scene. She one of the few screen-only actors I have real respect for (Twelfth Night with her as Olivia? FTW. Almost as much as David Tennant!Hamlet /off subject).

Anyway, yes, the torture was all kinds of disturbing, even for me, largely because of the severe and most certainly intentional Does This Remind You Of Anything? factor. To the point that the first time through I got a bit freaked out by it (and then immediately filed away the "Mudblood" idea for future reference).

Wow, Hannah. That is definitely one of the longest posts I have ever seen. I didn't read it though, a) because I've already seen the movie and b) because I am not a patient person. I can't believe you remembered all of that.

I'M SEEING THIS FRIDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

(November 24, 2010 - 8:39 pm)

I saw it again yesterday! I realized how much I got confused and how much I left out. Like Scrimgeour giving the trio the snitch, deluminator, and tales of Beedle the Bard that Dumbledore had left behind in his will for them. And Xenophilius didn't say "They took my Lunypoo" he said "You're my only hope". But hey! It sounded very much like "Lunypoo". Lol. And I realized in a picture earlier this week that the main snatcher was wearing a scarf--a girl's scarf. After I saw the movie again, I realized that he had taken Hermione's scarf that she had wrapped around a tree.
