June Art/Poetry/Story Challange!

Hello everyone!

This month, get your creative juices flowing with our creative June challenge! Draw a picture, write a story, or compose a poem about June!

Maybe you could write a story about an important date in June of the past, or what June will be like years in the future, or a migration of magical fantasy creatures that happens only in June.

Maybe you could compose a poem about your favorite flowers, or the feeling of jumping into a pool in June, or how wierd the June of this year is.

Maybe you could draw a picture of June flowers or the view out your window, or even a picture of the word JUNE except the letters look like little people.

Wow after all that, the word June looks wierd. (What does it even mean? Did I spell it right?) June. June. June. Anyway...

Whatever you choose to do, I'm super exited to see what your creativity comes up with!

The rules for this challenge are similar to the rules for submitting art/poetry/stories to the Crickit magazine:

1. Please make sure that your work is appropriate for all ages.

2. Stories should be about 300 words. I'm gonna stretch the rules here and say that 300 isn't a hard stop, but certainly no more than 400.

3. Poems should be about 24 lines. Again, stretching the rules and saying no more than 30.

4. Art should be...hmm. No limits on art.

5. You can have as many submissions as you want!

6.. The deadline is June 30. After that it's July, and if this is popular, maybe I'll put up another challenge.

Good luck!!

It's spelled Cricket with an 'E'. *notes various other spelling mistakes*.

Okay, after that small moment of *bleep*iness, I think this is a great idea. Of course I'll struggle with a prompt, but that's life. I don't really have anything going on right now.

Hey Hummingbird! This contest looks really fun and I think I'll join, but it might be best if you put it on Pudding's Place instead--that would be a better place for a contest like this and more people would see it there!

Thanks Leafy! I'll keep that in mind...
