White Elephant Game!

Chatterbox: In This Month's Issue

White Elephant Game!

White Elephant Game!

Here's how this will work:

1. Under an alias, post a description of the wrappings of an imaginary gift by December 4th.

3. After December 4th, we will choose gifts in the order of description posted, so it will start with me.

4. When someone has chosen your gift, reply to them revealing what it is. It could be something real, such as a poem or drawing, or something imaginary, like a puppy or a jar of stardust. Also, reveal your identity

5. Once you receive your gift, respond with a thank-you! That's only polite! :)

RULES:

- Post your gift description by December 4th

- Post under an alias, not your CBer name.

- Wrap your gift creatively!

- Don't reveal your own identity until someone claims your gift. If the gift you choose turns out to be a picturing or something else that requires your CBer identity, you can make an exception.

- Remember to post!

- Have fun!

My gift is rectangular and thin, and wrapped in an interwoven tapestry of dark green leaves. It is tied with brown string, and a bright orange wildflower is slipped underneath the twine.

(Sorry if the formating turns out weird, I copy + pasted from a google doc)

My gift is in a small, light purple box. It is tied with a white ribbon and a dark purple bow, and it has a strong scent of lavender coming from it. It is covered in silver starlight and is sparkly.

Darina is "gift" in Slavic.

My present has white wrapping paper which I drew cakes, presents, animals, and candies on. It is soft and doesn't really have a shape. It has a card attached to it.

My present has a black wrapping and a gold ribbon with skulls on top, it is a very large box and heavy too.

It has a strong cinnoman smell to it.

My gift is rectangular in shape, wrapped in sparkly silver-ish white paper. A candycane is stuck under a red gift bow, along with a few mistletoe leaves. When you shake it, you hear twinkling bells and a soft violin. It smells like peppermint.

My gift is oddly shaped, so I put it in a bag instead of wrapping it. Said bag is deep blue with soft swirls of turquoise mixed in. Delicate translucent fabric spills from the top, concealing what contents are hidden inside.

Matana is the pronounciation of gift in Hebrew. My gift is spherical and is wrapped in velvet. It is tied with a gold painted ribbon, and it has a yellow rose attached.

My present is tiny, about the size of a postage stamp cubed, and it is very heavy. It is wrapped in iridescent silvery rainbow paper, with a deep purple string tied around it. If you put it to your ear it sounds like a conch shell, and holding it you can tell it is bursting with a fiery desire to be released from it's box.

My gift is place in a bag. The bag is mediumish and is blue with silver snowmen on it. It has a Jolly Ranchers candy cane taped onto it with clear tape. Inside is silver and gold tissue paper. When you shake it, you can hear that there are clearly two things in it. You can hear Rudolph the Red-Nosed reindeer playing softly from inside of it.
