My family
does a Mexican tradition called cascarones. Cascarones are dyed eggshells (no.
yolk or gross stuff inside) that you fill with confetti and cover the tops with
tissue paper. Then you smash them on another person’s head for good luck! It’s
so fun. I still have confetti in my hair the next day, even though I take a
shower, brush my hair, and braid it!
Also, I got
three books from the Easter Bunny: the fifth Lumberjanes book, and Brave and Crush by Svetlana Chmakova.

I do not get the magazine, what was my comment??? So curious!
Here it is:
I like being homeschooled because: flexible schedule; my
schoolwork is what would be homework if I went to school, so I spend less time
doing school; and I learn lots of random useful life skills, like how taxes
work and how to make chili from scratch.

Oooh exciting! I haven't gotten the April one yet so I'll have to see what I said then ;)
Here it is:
I’m part Japanese. Taiko drumming is awesome. There’s a
really good taiko drum group in my town, and they often perform at events and
schools. They even have some kid “trainees,” so I thought it would be really
fun to do that at some point when I’m a little older.
